Kliavkoff Caught With His Pants Down, Twice.
Yup, I’ve felt that USC moving on was a net benefit to the conference. Folt is a sociopath with a big knife.

College Football Conference Realignment - G5 Or Go Coast-to-Coast to Survive?
Don’t have time now to put something like this together. If the PAC-12/10/9/? survives the next few weeks definitely a long term possibility. First, we will need a new commissioner. Kliavkoff needs to go as soon a media deal is signed (assuming that happens).

Pac-12 CEO Group, ADs in Conference Call This Afternoon
I have to wonder how much this will delay the media deal. Weeks, months? Kliavkoff didn’t even have numbers to show Colorado last week when they called his bluff. I wonder just how far from a deal the PAC-9 (PAC-8? PAC-7? PAC-6?) really is.

Some Insight on the Colorado Debacle from Canzano
I added more from the article.

Colorado Buffaloes Stampede
I agree. If the media deal was a month off, it is now six months off. Colorado told Kliavkoff they needed to see media figures and he either couldn’t provide them, or refused. Not sure which is worse.

Kliavkoff Caught With His Pants Down, Twice.
Mandel: Pac-12 negligence to blame if Colorado bolts for Big 12 THEATHLETIC.COM Colorado is expected to vote to rejoin the Big 12 on Thursday, an embarrassing move for the Pac-12 that would destabilize its future. Kliavkoff better have something to say today or very soon. His silence during this process over the last year has hurt the PAC as has his inability to "read the room" and sense danger signs. "Think about just how many things the Pac-12 had to get wrong over those 13 years to arrive at this precarious moment where it may soon be down to just nine members. Think about the fact that just two summers ago, after powers Oklahoma and Texas bolted the Big 12, new commissioner George Kliavkoff and his league presidents felt no need to grab a TCU or Houston when either would have come crawling in a nanosecond. Former commissioner Larry Scott may have set the Pac-12’s tumble in motion with his combo of arrogance and aloofness, but Kliavkoff, his successor, has now rolled the boulder right up to the edge of the cliff with a unique cocktail of naivete and negligence. It’s admittedly debatable whether Kliavkoff could have done anything to prevent USC and UCLA from leaving for the much-richer Big Ten. Some folks within the league say the warning signs were there that its golden ticket, USC, was getting antsy. Others say the L.A. schools’ defections last year came as a complete shock. But Colorado? … He really can’t keep Colorado?

Colorado Buffaloes Stampede
If this is truth and not self justification by Colorado or a deliberate lie then the PAC is dead.

The Death of the Pac-12?
@HappyToBeADuck, good analysis. Very likely today is a sad day for those of us who love the PAC.

If true this is twice the commissioner was blindsided. He would need to go, and soon.

Report: Oregon Board of Trustees to Hold 'Ad-Hoc' Meeting Thursday
Thinking of the Brutus-Duck post. That would indicate foreknowledge. If Colorado is gone, this just sucks. Good summary of options. Sorry about source but seems reasonable. Good riddance to Colorado. We can survive without them. Oregon leaving…that would change things for me.

Report: Oregon Board of Trustees to Hold 'Ad-Hoc' Meeting Thursday
If Oregon kills the PAC-12, especially after apparently lying to the other members, I may not be an Oregon fan anymore.

Justin Williams to Georgia
- The BIG FISH: Is Tosh Dropping a Hint?
A lot of “pundits” online and commentators here feel that Oregon is going to lose recruiting battles with Georgia because, well they are Georgia. There is truth to that but let’s hope they are wrong this time. MSN WWW.MSN.COM- LOL, Canzano on the "Big 12 Crowd" and the "Imminent Demise of the Pac-12” in 2029
@Smith72 It is hard to summarize since this was his weekly “mailbag” and thus dealt with a wide spectrum of disconnected topics. I enjoyed his comments about the BIG 12 crowd which so badly wants to see the PAC fail and Oregon to struggle, so I shared them here. I’m equally tired of the PAC naysayers, at least those who seem to have an agenda, not a valid argument. Canzano overall was pleased with what he heard this Friday and does not feel the PAC is failing. He also believes Oregon realizes the advantages of staying in the PAC and competing for a playoff position every year vs going to a conference where it may be much harder to get in.- LOL, Canzano on the "Big 12 Crowd" and the "Imminent Demise of the Pac-12” in 2029
Q: What did the Big 12 crowd do in the off-season pre-media deal talk? What will they do next summer? — @calderon11 A: I suspect the free time will be spent watching re-runs of “Is it Cake?” on Netflix. Either that or they’ll pivot to obsessively talking about the “imminent demise of the Pac-12” in 2029 Canzano: Mailbag deals with Pac-12, ESPN, expansion dilemma, Vegas heat and more WWW.JOHNCANZANO.COM Your questions, my answers.- AIR - A Story of Greatness
Good movie. Well with a watch.- Oregon Beach Volleyball Players: Treatment That Could Violate Title IX
Just read the article. If the reporting is accurate the disparities are pretty damning. Yes, this program was made possible by Title IX but if you aren’t willing or able to run it in compliance with law and regulation then why do you have the program? Note I’m assuming this sport is not required by law. There is a larger issue in that it appears the entire Oregon sports program may not be in compliance with Title IX and that could mean serious problems for the sports we love. This larger possible non-compliance makes the initial problems surrounding women’s beach volleyball even more troubling.- Is That RIGHT? Prime Kicks Off a Player in Front of Team?
One thing I’ve learned in my work resolving disputes, is that the situation is always more complex and nuanced than it initially appears. Always. That said, there are ways of behaving that lead to less second guessing. Clearly Sanders’s chose a different path. Perhaps he was justified…- Is That RIGHT? Prime Kicks Off a Player in Front of Team?
I'm always leery of negative views of kids in comparison to previous generations, having read similar complaints literally from Roman times 😉. Also, the person whose behavior is being questioned is an adult of a previous generation, not the most recent. That said, any well functioning community or business will be based upon boundaries, consequences, and respect, (and also compassion and care) and I think @Mudslide is spot on. If there is a difference in the newest generations, the most highly educated and media savvy generations perhaps ever seen, is that they are very aware that respect often is demanded for those in positions of power but often does not flow in the opposite direction. Something I'd argue we are seeing in coach Sander's actions here.- Pac-12 Questions and a Few About OBD?
