We WILL Have the Usual Prediction Contest Every Week this Season--Be READY!
Well that explains that. I guess my speed reading method of scanning every other word leads to comprehension problems. At least it's in writing so I can remember it.

We WILL Have the Usual Prediction Contest Every Week this Season--Be READY!
What? Three hours and no predictions? All you guys on a 3 martini lunch. Ducks win. I'm a homer. At this time it is possible to have a perfect season. Four turnovers. Two sacks. 346 yards passing.

For Visitors: Eugene, Tailgating Advice and Recommendations
The only time I parked on campus, my buddy's wife worked there and had a lifetime parking pass. Not bad hike. There is a new parking garage close to the foot bridge. I imagine it will fill up early. LTD used to run shuttles, I think the UofO took over that service and uses school buses. They haven't posted the schedule for this year, but if they follow past years they will have parking at Valley River, Gateway area and Springfield. If you're an early morning person (after pub hopping at all the places you listed), park at Valley River, eat breakfast at Elmer's and catch the shuttle or better yet, walk along the river. It's about the same distance as walking from campus. To check up on current Autzen policies : Autzen Stadium GODUCKS.COM Autzen Stadium

What B1G Football Road Game Would You Like?
We've had OBD season tickets since the '95 Rose Bowl, have only missed two home games in that time and have had the opportunity to visit the Beav's and fuskey's. We made a pact with our football buddy couple to try and visit the other Pac 12 stadiums. Road trips to Utah, Pullman and Cal joined previous stops at the Rose Bowl, Coliseum and Tucson. As retirement and the pandemic arrived it left Tempe, Colorado and Stanford on the bucket list. Fixed income and rising expenses along with the collapse or expansion of the Pac 12 renders this list unobtainable at this point. I'm thinking a sunny beach with a margarita in my hand is a lot more enticing than a frozen stadium in the Big10.

Google maps is your friend. You list Alesong and Tap and Growler, they are in the 5th Street Market complex. A dozen restaurants in two blocks. Wine tasting, distillery, ice cream, Gordon Tavern in namesake Hotel with Mex & margaritas on the top floor. Walk a few blocks over to Willamette and Broadway for VooDoo donuts and another 12 nightclubs. Younger crowd, bring an open mind. Ten blocks south on Willamette St( you will pass Claim 52 and falling Sky on 11th) to Beer Stein, catty corner is Mac's, top blues venue with a live band on the lawn. The Whitaker neighborhood has many of the other breweries you listed. Not a bad place on your list. In your spare time head over to Springfield, 4th & Main. Planktown Brewing, Brass Monkey Tiki Bar, a half dozen restaurants, then walk over to Public House Hub, a few more restaurants, tap house and a hard liquor bar in a repurposed church with stain glass windows.

Norv was on my first list as well as Reggie Ogburn who spent time in the CFL as a QB, running back and receiver.

Oregon: Ranked One of Best Quarterback Producing Schools
Let's go back another 50 years with Oregon Ducks that were successful in the NFL. Starting in 1948 with Norm Van Brocklin and every decade since: George Shaw, Bob Berry, Dan Fouts, Chris Miller, Bill Musgrave and AJ Feeley.

Quintessential Cristobal
Did you notice the gray in Mari-no's hair. By this time next year he will completely white from dealing with the stress of the U's expectations. Maybe he should grow a beard so they can call him Gandolf the White.

Oregon Ducks--A Global Brand?
The wife & I were on an Australian-New Zealand cruise. Walking tour of historic Melbourne and we ducked into a classic Pub to check out the sports on TV. The bartender noticed my Oregon hat and we had a good discussion. He was from New Zealand and said he and his buddies loved the Oregon brand of futbol.

What is on YOUR Sports Bucket List?
WOW!! I'm so fortunate, my Bucket is full of completed items. I was a teenage groom and father, the kids grew up fast and left home which gave us the freedom to travel. Have been season ticket holders since 1995 ( I've only missed one game). Two Rose Bowls , Penn State & tOSU. Holiday Bowls, Cotton, Sun Bowls and I want to forget the Seattle Bowl. Championship Game in Glendale (he was down). We have been to 9 of the Pac 12 venues. Still on the list are Stanford, Colorado and Tempe. We have been in or thru 43 states on a motorcycle or a 1948 Ford. In November we are doing a Mississippi River paddle boat trip from NOLA to Memphis then a rental car loop thru SEC country to pick up 6 more states that leave only a trip to Hawaii to complete all 50. Been to Sturgis, Daytona 500, did the Iron Butt 1000. Been to Rome, Paris, London. Multiple Caribbean Islands and the Panama Canal, various Mexican touristy seaports. What's left? Indianapolis 500. I received an add for driving an exotic at PIR that will only cost me half of my SS check. I did a Petty car at Las Vegas a few years ago. 135mph. Tantamount for November will be to find good sports bars in New Orleans and Vicksburg to watch the home game we will miss on the riverboat cruise. The good news for my brother in law and my son is they will get belated and early, respectively, Birthday presents of game tickets.

The Most Beautiful Car Ever Made!
Am I the only Hot Rodder on here? I love any model of 1932 Ford. From the Beach Boys album cover "Little Deuce Coupe" to this Sedan Delivery. Henry only made 418 Deliveries modified from standard Tudor sedans. Former Oregon Lineman’s Injury a Failure of Leadership
If my reading comprehension and memory are holding up against the aging process I believe the original lawsuit against the coaches, UO and NCAA stated $20 million for physical damages, decline in health and life expectation and loss of earnings. $100 million was added against the UO and NCAA for punitive damages to insure that the rules and regulation are instituted to forbid this type of exercise. The verdict or settlement will likely be less. After the lawyer fees whatever is left over is due and deserved by Brenner.

Oregon 'Recruiting Committee?'
Those of us that purchase season tickets are required to make a donation the the Duck Athletic Fund. Every year they will send us a brochure with a lot of smiling young faces, thanking us for the donation, but I honestly don't remember what all it goes for.

80 Plays Per Game is More Than an Offensive Goal
It would be interesting to see a break down of scoring and plays per quarter. Remember the Kelly games that were over by half time and the backups were running out the clock.
