With the non-conference loss, Oregon fell to 30-14 overall, while the Beavers improved to 31-13. 11. What questions face the Ducks after spring ball? Dan Lanning has a few A lot of questions were answered at the Oregon Ducks spring game on Saturday afternoon. For instance, we finally got to see backup QB Ty Thompson play an entire game, and answered the question of what he would look like once given multiple series to settle in and get comfortable in the rhythm of the game. We also got an answer to the question about Jamal Hill and his transition from safety to linebacker. Whether it was fireworks from WR Tez Johnson, physical running from Dante Dowdell, inspiring play from Cole Martin, or expected steadiness from Bo Nix, there were a ton of things that took place on Saturday, and several offseason questions that got answered. Going forward, though, a few questions remain for Dan Lanning and this Oregon team as they enter the second stretch of the offseason and prepare for the fall. “Do we really truly have the depth to play as many players as we’d like to play?” Lanning asked on Saturday after the game. “We’re gonna go back and you know, continue to evaluate that. How do things sort out really on the offensive line for us? I think we have to take a hard look at that and figure out where we’re the best there and there’s just a lot of pieces, right? A lot of pieces of the puzzle.” Oregon Football: Questions remain for Dan Lanning and the Ducks DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM “A lot of pieces to the puzzle.” Dan Lanning was happy with what he saw at the UO spring game, but knows that there is still a ton...

  13. Brandon Baker, Nation's No. 1 Offensive Tackle, Recaps Oregon Spring Game Visit Baker is a priority target for A'lique Terry in the 2024 recruiting class and one of the biggest names on the West Coast. Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei offensive tackle Brandon Baker has been at the top of Oregon's recruiting big board for a long time. In fact, I considered Oregon the team to beat last fall. But the departure of Adrian Klemm served as a bit of a reset in his recruitment. He visited Eugene for the spring game this past weekend and broke down some of the highlights with Ducks Digest. "Really just being able to get a feel for Coach Terry, the new offensive line coach and the new O-line staff that they have with Coach Cutter (Leftwich) and Coach Cav (Mike Cavanaugh). It's really great to see how they're all gelling together and what Coach Lanning is doing." Baker had particular praise for Dan Lanning's vision and even has confidence that he'll finish his career in the company of college football's elite. 15. Oregon Offers Louisiana Lafayette Cornerback Trey Amos Oregon has extended another offer to a player in the transfer portal. On Monday, the Ducks offered former Louisiana Lafayette cornerback Trey Amos. The redshirt junior entered the transfer portal earlier in the day on Monday. Amos is 6'1", 197 pounds and is originally from New Iberia, Louisiana. He played his high school football at Catholic-New Iberia High School. The former Ragin Cajuns defensive back spent three seasons at UL Lafayette and played in 34 games. He recorded 59 total tackles, 46 solo tackles, 14 pass deflections and one interceptions. During the offseason the Ducks hired offensive analyst Antonio Parks to their coaching staff, who is originally from the Bayou State. Oregon has already added a couple of defensive backs via the transfer portal this offseason. Safety Evan Williams came over from Fresno State, safety Tysheem Johnson came over from Ole Miss and cornerback Khyree Jackson joined the squad from Alabama. Demetrice Martin signed five cornerbacks from the high school ranks in 2023 but it looks like this coaching staff isn't going to be complacent and isn't going to hesitate adding more players from the portal if they feel like they have the right fit. This articles can be found in Ducks Digest.
