  1. Duke got Adam Spanished.
  2. That’s fun. Do they know that USC has: ONE conference championship ZERO playoff or BCS appearances, and ONE win against Oregon In the last 15 years?
  3. I have a feeling that this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. There were rumors flying around just over a year ago that Oregon’s NIL budget for men’s hoops was around $3M. I hope that is not true, but if it is, Oregon is no where near being market competitive.
  4. Oregon had to keep two guys on the roster going into next season - Evans and Shelstad - And they lost both. Is Dana going to be able to find 5 legit starters in the portal?
  5. What happens next is going to send a clear message on how invested Oregon is in the future of men’s basketball. They need a minimum of 3 starting caliber players and a few rotation guys. And that is assuming that Ariza can come in and start right away.
  6. Yikes!! One of the few guys that did more than one thing well.
  7. 12 points at half? Just gross. 🤮 I have been watching Oregon hoops since 1991 and I have never seen that before. Is that the lowest output in a half for the Ducks since the shot clock was adopted??
  8. UW coach got a double T, so 2 FT each, then Evans had a 1:1. 6 total. 9 points in 11 seconds is some Reggie Miller stuff. That was awesome.
  9. The SEC should have been screaming for 16 teams Probably cost them 4 to 5 playoff spots in the last 2 years. I love what the BIG is doing. Make sure you get to 24, so teams like USC, Iowa, and Illinois don’t get left out due to SEC bias.
  10. The crazy thing about this, is that you could have said this exact same thing about Bo Nix when he was at Auburn. I remember the comments on this board when we first grabbed Nix in the portal. There were not a lot of people onboard, including myself. I’m not saying it will work out. It may not. However, I am confident that Lanning will have more than 1 solution at the QB position.
  11. This team is currently 315th in FG% and 275th in scoring offense. Just wow. For reference, 91-92 was 238th in scoring offense.
  12. Thanks Mr. Marsh! That was a good read. Oregon had two of those in that game, because Cliff Harris intercepted that ball clean and in bounds.
  13. 91-92 was my freshman year at Oregon. It was rough. Lyden was hurt and only played a few games. Orlando and Antoine were basically the only two guys that could score on that team. IIRC, there were several games where they had less than 20 before half. This team might be worse right now, with Bittle, Shelstad, and Simpkins out. It’s too bad that nobody has really been able to step up and score consistently.
  14. I looked it up. 2008 is the last time Oregon had a losing record. Attendance has been dropping steadily. No butts in seats is bad.
  15. Holy cow. Is this real? Is Oregon hoops at their lowest point in 20 years?
  16. Made me think of the Bad News Bears!. 😂
  17. Why not both? Michigan is able to invest and have success in both programs. They are spending 8-9M in hoops and are still competitive in getting football talent.
  18. Things keep getting worse. Bittle in a boot and rolling one of those scooters now.
  19. What is the point? Just give everyone 5 years and eliminate redshirts, except for medical.
  20. IMO, hoops will not be competitive going forward until Oregon decides it is worth investing in it. When your alleged NIL budget is 1/4 of the conference contenders, it is going to be very difficult to assemble a roster to compete. Michigan invested more than $8M this season. If the reports I have seen are true, Oregon is not even at 1/3 of that. The end result is that you are forced to use most of your NIL budget on roster retention (Bittle, Shelstad, and Evans) and then gamble on a bunch of G5 players to make the jump or Power 4 players that are riding the bench at other schools and pray that something clicks. IMO, You could have Phil Jackson coaching and it won’t matter. Expect the slide to continue and to see more of this until Oregon throws some money at it.
  21. If Mendoza plays like he did the last two games, Miami has no chance IMO.
  22. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that he has only started 20 games in college. He has all the talent in the world, but just needs to get a little better at seeing the field at times. He will get there with more experience, just like Bo or Mendoza did. If his goal is to play football in the NFL for a longtime, he should stay one more year.
