Interesting Tez Johnson Combine Comments
I love Tez but his comments just come off as sour grapes, at this point. Just tip your hat to the opponent and say that they beat you.

Lanning Pursues National Title In Shadow of Alabama and Georgia Expectations
Ohio State’s inside linebacker, Donovan Jackson, is projected to be a first round draft pick. Excluding the DL, Cody Simon (LB), Denzel Burke (CB) and Lathan Ransom (S) are also projected to be drafted in the 2025 NFL draft. This does not include their young stud safety (or other underclassmen) who will be a first round draft pick when he is eligible for the NFL Draft. Ohio State had a dominant line but they are loaded everywhere (they consistently bring in top 5 recruiting classes). Being dominant up front but sucking on the other two levels is not a recipe for success. 2025 NFL mock draft: Abdul Carter goes No. 1 despite foot injury; Jayden Daniels gets new weapon in pass game - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM A handful of new faces join the first-round projection as the NFL combine is...

Lanning Pursues National Title In Shadow of Alabama and Georgia Expectations
I agree with that to a degree, but to be elite you need to be solid at all 3 levels. Oregon had a very good defensive line last year (probably one of the best in school history) but you need linebackers who can play the right run fits (Penn State game) and a secondary that doesn’t allow receivers to run free down the field (Rose Bowl). Lanning and staff are recruiting at an extremely high level but we’ll see if they are able to develop the dudes. Bama and Georgia just looked different particularly in the front 7.

Pac TV Rumors
The PAC should sign a TV contract with the History Channel because with the current proposed makeup that is exactly what the conference is…

Spring Games and Series Cancellations
Would love it if Oregon could find a way to schedule another home-and-home series with Tennessee, especially with a certain high school QB we are a finalist for! Oregon would have to get out of or move the Oklahoma State (2026) and Baylor (2027) games.

Workout Video - Moore to Moore!
Thanks for sharing. Love the out throw before the receiver breaks! Dante has always thrown a beautiful ball. The test will be his command of the offense and decision making.

Oregon Loses No. 1 Recruiting 2026 Class Ranking from Jonas Williams Flip to USC (See classy Trojan Fans)
I always look at the average star ratings since the ratings rewards class size. Oregon is still #1 in average star rating (4.11) with a bunch of teams tied for second (4.0). Quality over quantity.

The Empire Strikes Back: USC Flips Oregon 2026 QB Commit Jonas Williams

Impacts Ducks: Ranking the SEC 2025 Football Schedules
Georgia did have a brutal schedule last season. Makes it all the more impressive that they won the conference.

Oregon's Own Mr. Irrelevant Since 2010
I’m not sure he would qualify (and it’s prior to 2010) but Patrick Chung was a 2-star recruit coming out of high school and the 979th ranked player nationally, according to 247. IIRC, Coach Bellotti said that he arrived as a 16 year old and, after a redshirt season, started 4 years for the Ducks (a DB record 51 straight games) and then became the starting safety for the NE Patriots, winning 3 Super Bowls, and being named to the NE Patriots’ All Dynasty Team in 2010. One of the most “under the radar” recruits in Oregon’s history. Who else would you put on the list? https://247sports.com/PlayerSport/patrick-chung-at-rancho-cucamonga-86110/RecruitRankHistory/?history=composite

Big Ten x SEC Alliance and Playoff Expansion Coming Soon?
To be clear, I was not just talking about post season: • Late night games (Pac-10 After Dark) • Thursday games, then Friday games • Conference championship games • Conference realignment • … The B1G / SEC scheduling alliance and guaranteed automatic qualifiers are nothing more than a money grab by those two conferences. Seed the top x number of teams accordingly, based on merit (which should include a strength of schedule component), and let them play. For example, this past year the SEC was not worthy of having more than 2-3 playoff participants. Would the playoff had been better if Alabama or Ole Miss got in over ASU or SMU?

Big Ten x SEC Alliance and Playoff Expansion Coming Soon?
Every time college football chases more money, it backfires and we (fans) are worse off.

Oregon Hires New WR Coach: Ross Douglas
On paper, he seems like a great pickup. He also has NFL experience.
-
Transfer Portal Interests to Ducks (3)
This would be a huge pickup, IMHO. While talented, no one on the roster has proven that they can be a #1 WR. Evan Stewart has shown flashes but is still inconsistent and disappears in some games. We have some really talented players coming in but I would not hold my breath, given the hit-and-miss nature of the position in both college and the NFL.

Ship Collides with Aircraft Carrier?
I’m not a ship captain but have some advice: If you see an aircraft carrier coming towards you, you might want to get out of the way, quickly. (Glad that no one was seriously injured.)

2026 No.1 QB - Who's Disappointed About the Favorite?
To be fair, he did lead his team to the state title as a junior. It looks like he completed over 70% of his passes (accurate passer) and threw for 38 TDs with only 3 interceptions (good decision making). He also appears athletic and throws well on the run. Watching his tape reminds me of Caleb Williams (watch the play in the below clip at 0:46). I’m no expert but if all the top teams are recruiting him, they must see something.

Oregon Football Spring Game Announced
Hope it’s the 1s vs. 1s (and 2s vs 2s). While you can see individual talent (e.g., Tez) with split squads, it’s difficult to gauge how good the team and units are overall, especially the lines.

Finebaum against CFP Expansion, and You Won't Believe What Else He Said!
And the long layoff after the conference championship games… And the tie in to the traditional bowls (Why shouldn’t the top seeds get a home game in round 2 of the playoffs?)…

B1G vs. SEC: Top-Heavy or Balanced? Which IS Better?
Well, the Beavers were in the top 2 in their current conference…

Finebaum against CFP Expansion, and You Won't Believe What Else He Said!
Finally, something out of his mouth that I agree with! Just get rid of the automatic qualifiers completely and seed the top x number of teams based on the committee’s rankings, in order from 1 to x (like they do for the NCAA basketball tournament). Stop trying to overthink it or get cute, it resulted in the mess we saw last season.

Super Bowl 2025 Sets Viewership Record
I wonder what it was in the 3rd and 4th quarters… Do advertisers get a refund, if viewership is lower during their ad?

QUAAACK! Ole Miss Safety Transfers to Oregon!
I’ve only found very limited videos but he seems like he’s good in coverage (albeit he’s listed at 5’10” on one site) and has good ball skills (former WR in high school?). It’ll be interesting to see how he fits in the rotation but seems like a good pickup and I love the pipeline.

Oregon WR Coach Adams to the Dallas Cowboys
I wish Coach Adams the best of luck. What is the connection between Dallas and Oregon’s offensive position coaches?
