Ruh-Roh! The Thriving "Bear" Has Trojans Butt-Hurt...
Someone mentioned that under Riley new defensive coordinator’s defenses get softer the longer they coach under Riley. I wonder if it’s the overall culture that Riley creates. If he doesn’t let the players hit and bang in practice then they will not be prepared to play physical in games. USC’s current DC did an amazing job at UCLA, with less talent. His defense at USC looks soft as warm butter and no better than the last USC DC. It appears to be a cultural/mindset problem. (Not that I mind one bit, as an Oregon Ducks fan.)

Canzano Compares Noise in Happy Valley vs. Autzen...
My ears were ringing for a couple of days and I lost my voice. Now I wear ear plugs…

Canzano Compares Noise in Happy Valley vs. Autzen...
Aaron Fentress also said on his podcast that he thought Autzen was louder and George Wrightster said that he talked to 5 members of the current team, after the game, and they all concurred. Everyone admits that it was a very impressive environment.

Canzano Compares Noise in Happy Valley vs. Autzen...
"It was like some sort of crazy torture in the movies. How do people do that so long without taking a breath? I think my ears are still ringing." — Adrian Peterson, former Oklahoma Running Back Beaver Stadium was an impressive sight, especially for a white out” and the pageantry was top notch but my wife and I both thought Autzen (and Husky Stadium when they are playing Oregon) are louder. Of course, we were not on the field so it would be interesting to hear from those who were. Then there is this quote from someone who coached in both stadiums: “"That's the loudest stadium I've ever been in." — Lloyd Carr, former Michigan head football coach

Let's Discuss 'Non-Oregon' Games Over Sept. 26-27!
I know that Ohio State fans travel well but the amount of red in Husky Stadium on Saturday was embarrassing. This is not the visitor section… https://www.dailyuw.com/article/in-an-afternoon-full-of-disappointments-the-husky-stadium-crowd-was-one-of-the-biggest-20250928

Sorry Penn St., Your Whiteout is Overrated
Urban Meyer recently called it the most difficult place to play in college football, at night, in the white out (over LSU). Oregon can win but they will have to execute and play very well on Saturday night.

Offer Advice to a Visiting Fan?
I prefer to park on/near campus and follow the crowd over the bridge and through the woods to Autzen stadium. It’s a bit of a walk, so it’s not for everyone.

What Does "Commitment" Mean?
A commitment means absolutely nothing in recruiting. Sure it might increase your odds but I don’t get excited about a recruit until Oregon receives their signed LOI, and even then we’ve seen kids back out or transfer to another school.

5-Star Oregon OT Commit, Immanuel Iheanacho, Plans to Visit Penn State for White Out Against Oregon https://nittanysportsnow.com/2025/08/5-star-oregon-commit-schedules-penn-state-visit/ “Georgetown Preparatory Academy (Baltimore, Maryland) offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho committed to Oregon last month and much like Spell, will be taking visits throughout the fall. Iheanacho plans to visit Happy Valley for the annual White Out against Oregon Sept. 27. Penn State is not the only school on the 6’7”, 380-pound tackle’s travel itinerary.”

Offer Advice to a Visiting Fan?
I would recommend checking out the Moshofsky Center, aka the Mo Center, before the game. They have food, beer, games for kids, screens with other football games on and the band/cheerleaders. The Duck might make an appearance and I’ve seen him at tailgates well before the game. As others mentioned, the team will walk through a couple of hours before kickoff. There is some really good craft beer in Oregon. You might even see some fall foliage that time of year. Be sure to check out the Duck shop, which is attached to the Mo Center to get a souvenir/shirt for you son. Have a great time!

Oregon's So-So Running Backs: Will Davison Grab the Top Spot?
I am thinking the same thing. Let’s be honest - Hughes has not looked like anything special when he’s been on the field. There is a reason he didn’t get any carries until the 4th quarter in the Civil War Game with the 2s and 3s. He should probably redshirt this year (if he still has one available) and then transfer to a place he can star next season. Perhaps this is too big of a step up for him? I wish him the best whatever he decides.

GIVE ME FIVE! A B1G FIVE!
Yikes. And what percentage of those completions and TDs were to TE Tyler Warren, who is now in the NFL? Penn State might beat Oregon on Saturday night but I would be shocked if it were due to Allar and the passing game…

Oregon's So-So Running Backs: Will Davison Grab the Top Spot?
I really like Davison but Noah has looked very good when he’s been healthy and I believe that Lamar has earned his playing time. He is a tough runner and quick. Reminds me a bit of Travis Dye. I believe that Anthony Newman said he expects the rotation to shrink.

Toughest Road Venue Ever?
I knew a handful of Oregon football players, including a couple of starters, when I was in school. They did not go to bed early, especially on the weekends. They were 18-22 year old college students enjoying college life, just like the rest of us. (They were just a lot bigger/stronger/athletic/faster and a heck or a lot better at football than the rest of us.) Perhaps things have changed and that’s why we are winning a lot more football games now then when I was in school…
-
Toughest Road Venue Ever?
I’m sure that Beaver Stadium at night will be up there with the toughest environment these players will ever experience, outside of Autzen. However, many in the national media have noted how loud Husky Stadium was a few years ago when they beat OBD in a close game.
-
Toughest Road Venue Ever?
I was thinking the same. As a young college student, I stayed up a lot later than I can now. I’m more worried about myself. At least it’s a PAC-12 after dark game…

Oregon - Penn St. Pre-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
They said the same thing the last time Oregon played Ohio State in the Shoe (and we had one arm tied behind our backs with Mario on the sideline). Both very talented teams with a great home field advantage. Ducks will have to show up and execute at a very high level.

Our Beloved Ducks: Not Quite Ready for 'Natty Time?
Last week, Texas Tech held Oregon State to 22 yards rushing / 0.4 YPC (42 yards / 2.6 YPC, excluding sacks). I wouldn’t be celebrating Oregon’s vaunted defense quite, yet…

College Coaching: Dabo Has a Meltdown
“[Dabo] Swinney is the second highest-paid coach in college football at $11.1 million, according to USA TODAY Sports.” If Dabo is going to accept his extremely high compensation then he needs to deliver. As other have said, he has not adjusted to the current college football landscape and the game appears to be passing him by.

Things to Do/See in State College, PA
Please let me know if anyone has found a good Penn State message board (preferably one that doesn’t require a subscription) or can recommend things to do/see in College Station, PA before the football game. Looking forward to seeing one of the coolest traditions in college football and hoping that our beloved Ducks can find a way to get the W. Go Ducks!!!
