2025 Recruitment, Announcements, Interviews, Etc. (No. 3)
Report: 5-star offensive tackle locks in visit with Oregon Ducks The Oregon Ducks are working to build up their 2025 recruiting class after back-to-back cycles in the top 10, and it looks like they’re starting strong as well. On Wednesday, it was reported by On3’s Chad Simmons that the Ducks will be hosting one of the best offensive linemen in the nation on a visit this spring, with 5-star OT Michael Fasusi coming to town in April during the spring season. Fasusi, who is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 15 overall player and No. 2 OT in the 2025 class, is expected in Eugene on April 17-18, which is a week before Oregon’s annual spring game. Standing at 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, Fasusi has a classic OT build that allows him to be mobile on the edge and physical in pass protection. Potential proposals from Big Ten, SEC seek more CFP automatic qualifier spots for the conferences Washington State president Kirk Schulz says the Pac-12 never planned to “hold up” the College Football Playoff’s latest format change for the 2024 and 2025 events, but he is “worried” about modifications to the format starting in 2026, including potential proposals from the Big Ten and SEC that seek for the leagues to be guaranteed multiple automatic qualifier spots. “I worry about any league getting a certain number of automatic berths beyond their champion,” said Schulz, a member of the CFP Board of Managers, made up of university presidents from each FBS league and Notre Dame. “I wouldn’t be alone in that.” Potential proposals from Big Ten, SEC seek more CFP automatic qualifier spots for the conferences SPORTS.YAHOO.COM Are there more changes on the way for the College Football Playoff?

Oregon Football benefits from a 5+7 CFP format, should contend every year | Oregon Ducks Podcast The College Football Playoff recently voted to approve a shift to a 5+7 format for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. As Oregon heads to the Big 10 as one of the two favorites this year and perhaps beyond, that shift benefits the Ducks. On today's episode of Locked On Ducks, Spencer McLaughlin goes on to talk about one of Oregon's highest-rated 2024 recruits. CB Ify Obidegwu bears resemblance to a recently great Oregon corner, but will he be on the field much in 2024? 11:15 Oregon Men's Basketball has had a decent, albeit disappointing sometimes, season this year as they've battled injuries. Some of the blame should certainly be at the feet of HC Dana Altman, but he's been dealt a tough hand. 21:20

An Oregon Ducks Fan Guide to the Big Ten Conference
All about the Rutgers Scarlet Knights: The oldest university in the Big Ten Conference also has the longest history on the football field: Rutgers. The first-ever college football game was played at Rutgers, but as the game has evolved, the Scarlet Knights simply haven’t had consistent success on a national scale. Coach Greg Schiano is trying to change that and has seemingly changed the culture in New Brunswick, but it’s been an uphill climb since the school joined the Big Ten in 2014. The Scarlet Knights athletic program has spent big in the last five years in order to compete, and still faces a major budget shortfall as a result. As the Oregon Ducks prepare for a move to the Big Ten in 2024, The Oregonian/OregonLive is taking a look at all of their newest conference rivals. While Ducks fans might be deeply familiar with fellow Pac-12 departees Washington, USC and UCLA, they have 14 new teams to get to know this year. Next up is Rutgers.
