Creighton Coach Says 'Sea of Blue' Will be Supporting Ducks on Thursday
Creighton head coach Greg McDermott told reporters on Wednesday that the Creighton faithful in Pittsburgh will be supporting former Bluejay coach Dana Altman and his Oregon Ducks on Thursday. The more than 2,500 miles between Eugene and the site of Oregon's first NCAA Tournament game may make it difficult for fans to support them on Thursday. By the sound of it the 11th-seeded Ducks will receive some assistance from another fanbase competing in Pittsburgh this weekend — at least during the opening round game with sixth-seeded South Carolina. "I know Oregon is going to have a sea of blue cheering for them on Thursday afternoon because of the way Dana is respected in our community," Creighton head coach Greg McDermoot said on Wednesday morning. Oregon Football Spring Camp
Kenyon Sadiq could prove to be a 'matchup nightmare' for teams in 2024 The Oregon Ducks football team will miss some of the players who played their last game in 2023. But with all teams, the Ducks have some up-and-comers who are anxious and ready to make their own mark in the program. Oregon has many young players who have the talent to make sure there’s no dropoff in 2024. One player in particular, tight end Kenyon Sadiq, makes offensive coordinator Will Stein excited for the present and the future. “Kenyon has had a great camp so far in just two practices. He’s another guy who is a matchup nightmare with his speed in the slot,” Stein said. “You can line him up all over the field. It’ll be fun for me this year to try and get everyone the ball. It’s a good problem to have.” Kenyon Sadiq could prove to be a ‘matchup nightmare’ for teams in 2024 DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein is excited about the versatility and talent of tight end Kenyon Sadiq.

Intriguing Freshman with Oregon Basketball Ties to Enter Transfer Portal
While the Oregon Ducks are preparing for their first-round matchup in the NCAA Tournament later this week against the South Carolina Gamecocks, part of the coaching staff is also being asked to keep an eye on the transfer portal, which opened on Monday for college basketball players. One intriguing name popped up when the portal opened, with some Oregon ties over the last year as well. Stanford small forward Andrej Stojakovic is reportedly looking to transfer to a new school for his sophomore season after averaging 7 points and 3 rebounds per game in 2023. Stojakovic shot 40% from the field and 32% from deep as a freshman with the Cardinal, and had one 20-point game to go along with a pair of 18-point showings. Dana Altman and Tony Stubblefield Still "Talking a Lot" About a Potential Return to Oregon for Stubblefield
My personnel opinion is YES PLEASE, make it happen! Dana Altman says the Ducks are still in discussions on bringing back Tony Stubblefield next season. Tony Stubblefield is a wanted man in Eugene. The former Oregon assistant coach watched courtside for all three of the Ducks' Pac-12 Tournament Games in Las Vegas as he saw first-hand the Ducks win their way into the NCAA Tournament. Now he's in discussions with Oregon head coach Dana Altman about a return to the program he coached 11 years at. "We're still talking a lot. But I was really glad he called and said 'Hey, I'm going to come watch you guys, be a part of it,'" said Oregon head coach Dana Altman. "He was such a big part of our program for 11 years. I love Tony's work ethic. He's a heck of a basketball coach."
