  12. Bo Nix Heisman Trophy odds skyrocket after win over Colorado Buffs We knew that the Oregon Ducks were going to have a big opportunity last weekend with a national audience tuning in to their marquee matchup with the Colorado Buffaloes on ABC. In particular, it was QB Bo Nix who could do the most with the opportunity, putting on a good performance in order to move up in the Heisman Trophy race. That’s just what Nix did, throwing for 276 yards with 4 total TDs in a 42-6 win in front of an audience of 10.03 million viewers. Unsurprisingly, Nix’s Heisman odds seemed to have jumped drastically. While we have four weeks behind us, and another 8 to go, it feels like a good time to take a look at the latest Heisman odds as we get deeper into conference play across the nation. Here are the latest numbers, per FanDuel. Oregon QB Bo Nix | +1000 Previous Odds: +2200 Week 4 Stats: 28-for-33, 276 yards, 3 TD 2023 Stats: 104-for-131, 1,169 yards, 11 TD, 1 INT Bo Nix Heisman Trophy odds skyrocket after win over Colorado Buffs DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Bo Nix had a big stage, and he took advantage of it. 13. This also reminds me of the fake punt Oregon made against UCLA back in the 2013 game in Eugene. LOOK: Oregon's Fake Punt Works Perfectly The uniforms aren't the only bold thing in Eugene. Trailing No. 12 UCLA 7-0 early on Saturday night, the No. 3 Oregon Ducks dialed up a fake punt on a 4th down at their own 26-yard line. Perhaps because the Bruins couldn't have imagined anyone would make such a call so early in a game while so deep in their own territory, the Ducks executed the fake perfectly. Linebacker Rodney Hardrick took the snap directly and then took off right up the vacated middle of the field as punter Alejandro Maldonado pantomimed a botched, high snap. Hardrick veered toward the UCLA sideline and was eventually forced out after a 66-yard gain. Two players later, Oregon running back De'Anthony Thomas would power his way into the end zone to level the score 7-7. Although UCLA would hang with Mark Helfrich's high-octane squad for the remainder of the first half, Oregon would never trail again after that scoring drive extended by this fake punt. The Ducks would outscore the Bruins 28-0 in the second half en route to a 42-14 win. LOOK: Oregon's Fake Punt Works Perfectly WWW.HUFFPOST.COM LOOK: Oregon's Fake Punt Works Perfectly
