  2. Long list of Oregon legends to be in attendance at Ducks' spring game The Spring Game is about more than just the football occurring in between the sidelines. It’s a celebration as a whole for the program and a chance for some familiar faces to show themselves once again inside Autzen. There will be some notable alumni coming back to campus to check out what the current version of Oregon football looks like. Alumni such as quarterback Dennis Dixon, and receiver De’Anthony Thomas will be joined by other former Ducks. Quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota and defensive back Jevon Holland will also be in the house as guest coaches. “Anytime you have guys that were just tremendous Ducks that care so much about our program and make an effort to give back, it’s always great to recreate that,” Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said. “That’s special for our players, but it’s just special for our fans. 5. More smoke? Here is something that I came across when perusing through articles. Who knows the validity about anything until GK speaks up. I do have to say Apple does have deep pockets, but tier one rights to the games? APPLE EMERGING AS POSSIBLE LEADER TO LAND PAC-12 MEDIA RIGHTS Williams: Apple TV wants 'entire tier one package' of Pac-12 media rights | SuperWest Sports SUPERWESTSPORTS.COM Williams: Apple TV wants 'entire tier one package' of Pac-12 media rights I agree with the CU Chancellor about the contract length, but, if possible, no more than five years. If it goes beyond that there should be an easy out clause. The conference shoots for getting the conference back up to 12 members. It seems SDSU and SMU are the top two. There's not a whole lot schools out there to pull into the conference. Tulane maybe? High ranking university on the side of education.

"Really just having the core coming back, Dante, Couisnard, Keeshawn, the AA point guard [Jackson Shelstad] coming in, coach just wanted me to be that leader," Cambridge said of his decision to commit to the Ducks. 7. Studying defense has helped Carlos Locklyn take Oregon RB room to next level The focus this spring for Carlos Locklyn — the Oregon Ducks’ running backs coach — goes beyond getting players in playing shape. He wants every single person in the running backs room to feel the desire to learn and get better, including himself. “You gotta learn every day,” Locklyn said. “I always tell my guys ‘Don’t ever let your cup get too full.’ You always pick up some knowledge, some things from wherever you go.” Oregon Football: Ducks’ running backs coach works to improve for 2023 DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM “Obviously, we’ve got some of the best defensive minds in college football here, so I’m learning every day.”

  18. Reveiwing the Oregon Ducks' Football Power Index ranking since 2005 Life for an Oregon Duck fan has been quite eventful over the past couple of decades. After going for decades as a relatively irrelevant team on the national landscape, Mike Bellotti turned things around at the start of the Melinium and a rise to prominence quickly followed. The start of the 2010s brought multiple trips to the National Championship game and a pair of Rose Bowl victories, but Oregon has also seen brutal losses at the hands of Auburn and Ohio State, as well as a 4-win season that ended in no bowl game and a fired coach just years later. This past week, ESPN published its updated Football Power Index (FPI) which measures team strength based on 20,000 simulations as explained on their website. This year the Ducks have the following preseason FPI ratings: Oregon Football: Reveiwing the Ducks’ FPI ranking since 2005 DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Ducks are rated prominently in terms of FPI this offseason.
