Six Schools That the Pac-12 Should Consider Adding
NJDuck replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I've done the same. I only stream now. I have no issue now watching my games. I use Fubo.tv instead of Sling, but either one is good. You do get great sports options. With Fubo.tv it includes 1,000 hours recording time. Glad I have it, especially living on the East Coast. Those late night Pac-12 after dark games, let's just say It's nice to be able to record and get a good night's rest as well. On Fubo.tv, if you forget to record ahead of time and you turned on a game already in progress, you can hit record and it will record back at the beginning. You have the whole game or program recorded. -

Thanks Dazencofused for another great article! I agree with your assessment. Bo Nix's 2021 year at Auburn was his best stats. 61% completion, 7.1 per pass avg., rating of 130. He for sure needs to step it up. What is scary is his single game numbers against against UGA in 2021: 55% completion, 5.7 per passing avg., rating of 98. Against TAM game in 2021: 48.8% completion, 3.7 per passing avg., rating of 75.2. Yikes! These are some of the reasons, I'm sure, you wrote the article on "Regarding Bo Nix: Beware Bandwagon Buy-In." His production numbers were not stellar. Hopefully with this coaching staff and a better supporting cast around him, I am optimistic of what you mentioned in this article that he could achieve. I also agree Bo being on a short leash. I am excited at what this defense will be able to do this year! That will be a difference maker for the offense as well giving them opportunistic in game situations to score. Looking forward in seeing our special team unit this year and what they can produce. I am betting on this coaching staff giving our young QBs every opportunity to play if Bo is successful, or be the starter if he fails.

I do agree that the Pac-12 should expand, but somewhat disagree who should be the six schools. Here are my choices: * SDSU - #27 TV market value in the San Diego area, but will give us the foot print to pull Southern California. * FSU in the #55 in their TV market value. But, can you stretch their viewership to include the Sacramento and as far South as Bakersfield? That is approximately 2.3 million people. * Houston - Houston is #8 in TV market value.. * SMU - Dallas/Ft Worth is #5 in TV market value. The author does list some compelling arguments to include. * BYU - BYU is a good brand with a large following. Ranked 21st nationally in academics amongst all universities. Great rival with Utah. They both would draw the Salt Lake City (#30 TV market value). * UNLV - In this article he failed to mention UNLV is a tier 1 research university. Ranked #40 TV market value, but Las Vegas area is growing. This city is turning into quite a sports mecca. I would have included other Big 12 schools instead. Instead of SMU I would take TCU. Instead of FSU I would take either Baylor or TT. Instead of UNLV I would take OSU, but their exit fee could be too much. Around 80 mil per school? Houston and BYU might not be have signed the dotted line yet with the Big 12. It would give us the Pacific, Mountain, Central time zones. Again, hopefully some media deal would include cross-over games with the ACC. This could make the Pac-12 a strong football and basketball conference. I know we lost millions due to USC and UCLA leaving, but by expanding the conference will have the ability for future growth in value and possibly regain back millions. Six schools that the Pac-12 should consider adding WWW.SI.COM The Pac-12 needs a contingency plan for the days after USC and UCLA and expansion may be the way to go

The End Zone Fade: Oregon Can Run It Now!
NJDuck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Loving all these articles. I agree, this should be in the play book to become a perfected end zone play. Always loved the End Zone Fade. As you mentioned, I can't imagine KD not adopting this into the Oregon playbook with the size we have on this team to make it successful. Here's a youtube showing End Zone Fade plays to go along with this great article. Thanks again, for pointing out this important scoring play. -
Yes, we won it in overtime. I love it that Browning went out his last year as QB for Washington losing to our Ducks!

Yes, Larry Scott did so much damage to the Pac-12. Unbelievable that the presidents/chancellors just stood by and let it happen instead of kicking him to the curb years ago. When they finally did, the damage was done. It's still hard for me to believe that grabbing the best in the Big 12 and the best in the Pac-12 to form a new conference would not bring them bigger media dollars. Too bad the following would not work, but I am sure there are too many obstacles in the way to make it happen: TCU, OSU, TT, Baylor, Huston, BYU, Kansas, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Stanford, Cal, Utah, SDSU, ASU, Arizona * Biggest TV markets: Bay Area, Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver, Seattle, Phoenix * Biggest Brand: Oregon with Portland TV market * Utah/BYU with Salt Lake. BYU has a independent national brand rated 21st in academics amongst all universities. Of course we know where Stanford is rated in academics. SDSU would help bring in some Southern California TV market with San Diego and surrounding areas. Strike a deal with the ACC in cross games. This would bring in Pacific, Mountain, Central time zones with possible games with the ACC would include Eastern time zone. The conference would have 9 schools in the top 30 media markets (5, 6, 8, 11, 12, 16, 21, 27, 30) in the nation. Plus the media markets in the ACC with cross games. I would think this could make a strong conference in football and basketball. This is just my personal opinion. But again, those who have such knowledge think differently.
