  1. Can you count #10 and #12 as PAC 12 teams since some think of them as Big 10 teams already?
  2. Way better than the stats after week one. I just afraid that week one debacle is going to bite us somewhere.
  3. Even the FOX broadcast talked about Dilly and the ASU job. Pay him and figure out how we keep Bo for another year.
  4. As it should be. Unfortunately, lets see how we slide over the next two weeks playing CAL and Colorado.
  5. MIC And imagine being a recruit with 105,000 and watching your team lose to an away team with an inferior coach; as opposed to watching your team win with a coach who has some bravado aganst a coach who we know has some bravado. Just thinking that Dan Lanning "Won the Day."
  6. I'm beginning to hate AP. Way too much SEC bias. I'm not an expert, but the Coaches poll on ESPN is close to what I thouoght except UCLA and TCU switch. Watching the Atlanta / Niners game and I am so glad to see that Mariota is finally getting the chance to show off his skills.
  7. I'd call Troy Taylor, the HC at Sac State. Take a look at their numbers.
  8. I thinking the DL needs more. We didn't get Hicks. Then look at RB and is Dowdell really etched in stone?
  9. Oregon moves up to 15 in the AP poll. About right after our week 1 debacle. Now we have to have the same intensity against a good Washington State team. Just have to inch up in the polls. Worried about Washington, they sounded pretty good last night on my way back to Sac.
  10. I agree with Jester 1-2 after BYU is probably right. I've seen worse and I will always make the trip from Sacramento to Eugene to watch them play. I'm picking wine grapes this weekend, but I will see you all on the 17th for BYU.
  11. Lanning looked fine to me. Knowing my 36 year old son he was probably pissed off to the moon. Thank God he didn't show it.That's pretty classy. I just wish for two things: 1. Irving to catch the ball out of the back field 2. Please teach the defense how to tackle.
  12. Thank you Mike, The play calling was horrible, that's on the OC. I agree that Bo doesn't seem to be patient enough... Isn't that the same criticism that they had at Auburn? And I agree, our defense couldn't tackle my Mom, and she's dead. However; the future of our program is not Bo Nix, never has been. The future of our program sits with Thompson and Butterfield. Neither of which would have changed the outcome yesterday, but both would set the course of our future better than Bo. Thompson and Butterfield didn't get the chance to be more embarrassed, or have their confidence shaken more. While they are rookies, and I'm not sure you can call either of them that, and might have been shaken. There is an upside that we all know is not there with Nix, because we haven't seen them play. All I'm saying is that some times home grown is better than home lost. Let's let them play.
  13. Dear Coach Lanning, I remember watching USC crush us at Autzen in 1976. I remember a long line of pretty good home grown Quarterbacks: Akili Smith, Joey Harrington, Kellen Clemens, Dennis Dixon, Jeremiah Masoli, Darron Thomas, Marcus Mariota, Justin Herbert. Please for the love of my Ducks..STOP with the transfer portal of Quarterbacks. They are a one and done. If you can't, as other Head Coaches, figure out how to make the younger QB's on your roster work, then you might be in for a short tenure here. We are not going to win the National Championship this year and as fans we will take our lumps. Now lets set-up the next couple of years, and it's not with Bo Nix. Please start Ty Thompson. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely
  14. We are not going any where this year. So why not put Thompson at the controls? Nix sounded like a great option, but... Raise our own crops.
  15. Dogs 34-27 3 4 260 I almost put $100.00 on the Ducks to win at 250 to 1, instead I took the 17.5. I hope I get to kick myself.
  16. I remember being a junior on campus when I had the honor of listening to one of the greatest pep talks, from one of Oregon's great Senators. While I was not sure that we could overtake mighty Georgia, I harkened back to his words and now I believe. I remind you all of his words: "What? Over? Did you say 'over?' Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!.. It ain't over now, 'cause when the goin gets tough, the tough get goin'." I believe we are tough. 28 - 24 Ducks.
  17. I guess I'm still worried about Lanning. Why would a 36 year old continue to coach a team that plays in the "Hooterville" conference if some sort of change isn't made? I believe that he IS what we have been looking for and am making the 1,000 mile round trip from Sacramento three times this year, plus seeing Oregon at CAL. How do we keep him, and the recruits? We are starting to see the fall out now.
  18. First time poster. Thank you all for letting me in. First, Don Reed is my favorite football coach is Duck history. JK. That 1976 game against USC at Autzen is still burnt into my brain. It's still not the cheerleaders fault. Anyway, I like Kamikaze Kid's idea of a PAC-16; however, I think the focus it too much on football. A viable PAC-16 must have balance between basketball and football and needs to add Oklahoma State, San Diego State, Boise State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, and St. Mary's to balance between the two sports. Television will be looking for a total package, football and basketball. To me, a package like this secures the West Coast in both, and makes the PAC-16 has a whole a very viable conference The PAC-10 needs to look at a bigger picture than just football.
