Blindsided, yes. But disagree on unacceptable.
It was not his fault that somehow this was kept a secret.
But, I don't think we have seen the end result yet. This may have been the canary in the coal mine and now the puppet masters (media revenue) have the blood in the water they want.
Oregon is a prize fish and maybe we are a free agent now. If so, thank the Bruins and Trojans.
While Larry $cott deserves a lot of blame, I Respectfully disagree, George needs to go, TODAY.
Clearly un curious George was very intentionally left out of the loop.
A massive no confidence vote by usc and ucla and an illustration that George isn’t qualified to do the job.
His one job was protect and enhance the conference.
He failed miserably and the PAC12 conference is now DONE.
He should be fired immediately with cause.

Pac 12 is 0/2 on commissioner quality. The ship is sinking fast.
How the heck can he not have known, unless he engendered zero respect within usc and ucla.
sorry George, you’re just Larry Scott in drag.

If you don’t follow the rules you won’t amount to JACK SQUAT and find yourself living in a van down by the river....
...or possibly a shopping cart by the mill race with these gas prices.
Don’t mess with the FishDuck. Or else...

Be careful if China is attempting unwanted penetration. Use protection of you can’t resist their advances. Backup. Backup back up.

Mariø Cri$tøbull$h....can’t say IT here.
The slashed ø is a very nice petty touch to the simmering disgust we still feel surrounding the smell of Mario’s departure.
I’m over it but it was nice to dredge up those feelings for a bit.

Also hard to recreate the emotional motivation of losing 2 players and playing in their memory.
As emotional as the game is I’d have to think there’s a little letdown in the extra motivation factor.
but who really knows. It’s why they play the games and don’t just anoint winners.

Don’t forget 1981 NFC championship game 49ers against the Cowboys. Joe three three picks and Everson walls dropped a fourth right before the catch.
Thats a lot, and he was a pretty good QB.
Bo nix has no picks to date. Clean slate.

And then the antivenin will be the speedy little guy. I still want to see the lightening quick little guy with magnets for hands! I suppose we have Seven, and keep the Seven's coming!
Agree completely. The ability to mix and match and create favorable matchups. Seven and kris running all over the field.
And then suddenly the defense has to cover three receivers at 6’5” and tight ends going 6’5” and 6’6”.
The WR room looking good!

I repeat and amplify previous comments about lining up 5 pass catchers at least 6’ 5” and taller.
not many teams college or pro can cover that height spread out.
another 6’ 5” receiver. Competition at minimum. But I think we’re going to see real height consistently at WR and it’s going to be a weapon.

Purple and Gold.
Looks good on a hooker, not much else.
Lanning and Co are exactly 0-0 but I’ll take what’s brewing in Eugene over what’s at Scat Lake, anyday. That one fan thought they’d be in the title game shows the deep unmitigated level of delusion.
One of the two best teams? Just, wow.

6’ with 4.53. Speed kills.

I think the Ducks can be more than competitive. The Dawg Defense lost serious cohesive talent to the NFL. They too will be untested in live action.
Georgia never really had a dominant offense last season. Credit to them for doing enough to win it all, but Stetson Bennet is not big, not fast, not tall, nor does he possess a plus arm. He can be rattled. He will be rusty. He is beatable.
Oregon’s defensive line returns a ton of talent and adds two starters to compete.
Pass rush can and will come from everywhere.
The LB Corp is deep with speed and there’s both some speed and length in the secondary.
To me, Lanning took over a pretty talented roster and has improved it. Flowe and Others are back as well.
The offense looks 100% different and ready to push tempo pace and spread the ball around, while looking to exploit matchups in the passing game.
Matchups that can potentially include lining up 5 pass catchers who are 6’5” and taller. That’s tough to defend.
Bo Nix if he starts gives great experience and familiarity with the SEC big stage. If he’s not the starter then Ty or Butters must be pretty special to beat him out.
The opener is a huge game. We find out what kind of coaches Lanning and company really are.
The talent is there. The roster was not bare and has improved dramatically. The measurables alone are a massive step forward at WR and RB.
While the pressure might not be present from the outside world the pressure to seize the opportunity is massive.
A havoc oriented speedy defense pressuring Georgia as Georgia does to others and then forcing their defense to play quickly cohesively communicate accurately and then defend Oregon’s length height size and speed all over the field.
Which online betting can I do from CA? I want Ducks and 17.5 all day long. 35-26 Ducks.

And with the jump ball on the other side of the field we no longer are at a large disadvantage anymore either. Our safeties are up to 6' 4" and our DB's are no longer at an extreme disadvantage, hovering around 6' or more too. We are getting ready to compete with the big boys!
So true. The Jimmys and Joes are looking better daily. Addison and Trikweze have real length. But I’m still impressed by the talent and bodies on offense.
It’s impressive looking at today’s Duck WRs height measurements compared to last year and previous Duck teams.
When you add in the dynamic threat of the speedy shifty seven and kris, the WR room looks to be a huge strength
TE room has real height as well
Is There is a distinct possibility of Oregon lining up 5 players over 6’4” in the red zone? I sure hope so. Few teams can match up with that.
In my 36 years of Duck football I’ve never seen anything close to the measurables possessed by this squad.

Love the Caleb Chapman pickup.
With the addition if Caleb Chapman, what’s the average height of WR and TE?
The ability to put multiple players of with height of 6’3”,4”,and 5”and more on the field might well be deadly in the red zone.
Another Diamond in the rough for depth. WR room looking sick.

1 out of conference and everyone plays everyone. Simple.
Problem with that is the SEC plays fewer conference games and throws a ooc patsy near the end of season.
That scenario puts the pac12 at a severe disadvantage worse than it presently is.

Win the north, win the pac12 championship, play in a good bowl and recruit recruit recruit.
This is year one for DL and staff, and it already looks better than any year under MC.

But what is the Pac 12 response?
Continuing to put the conference at a disadvantageWhile the SEC schedules late season out of conference patsy games to rest up the PAC 12 is gunning for each other one extra week. It’s hurt before and will hurt again.
why the pac 12 continues to put its teams at a scheduling disadvantage is beyond comprehension.
