  1. I thought the school who signed him would also have to bring in brother as part of a package deal. I don’t see that happening now that Nix is returning. Any one see it differently?
  2. Charles mentioned earlier that Oregon is a tackle away from being set next year. Can anyone list the potential starters on o-line as it stands now? Hopefully the guy from Rhode Island dawns the O…he reminds me of the Death Star…dude looks massive. Nix better kick down some NIL money make sure he stays upright.
  3. The off the field distractions should not be taking away from the product between the lines...I get it, the portal is here to stay, but the timing is horrible. It shouldn't even be an option until after the conclusion of the championship game. Can NFL team ink free agents prior to the conclusion of the Super Bowl? Where the leadership? Its the responsibility of the governing body...Can anyone tell me what the NCAA does anymore, other than run to the bank to cash in on March Madness.
  4. “Coach Prime” will make it interesting. I hope he inks a deal with Colorado and elevates that program, and in turn the conference’s image. They are the weakest link of the conference.
  5. I know a lot of us just saw Utah, a team Oregon beat a few weeks earlier, physically beat down USC. I have seen several social media post actually suggesting that it should’ve been Oregon trampling the Trojans tonight. But realistically, if Oregon was on that field against the Trojans tonight, Williams would have embarrassed them like he did Norte Dame the last week. Utah won not because of their offense, but because of their defense. Check out the the 3rd down conversion rate for the Trojans offense: 1/12. No way Oregons defense keeps USC offense off the field like Utah did tonight. Congrats to Utes!
  6. I share similar sentiment in hiring a coordinator whose talents have not been fully been recognized. However, as we have seen with Dillingham, those individuals will have short tenures at Oregon and consequently the continuity of the program will suffer. Furthermore, frequent vacancies leaves Lanning with the task of finding a home run hire every time a coordinator seeks greener pastures. Consequently, I am hopeful Lanning finds a productive re-tread that will be a constant presence on the side lines for years to come. Honestly, I am hoping he gives Mark Helfrich a call, but I don’t foresee the donors buying that choice. If not Heldich, what about Troy Taylor (Sac St.)?
  7. After seeing the Huskies throw the ball all over the field against our secondary, and the Beavs pound the rock down our throats (after being up by 21), I am not sure I want to see Oregon back their way into the championship game against USC. I don't know how, but USC managed to put a better defense out on the field this year that us, and K. Williams will have a field day against our defense. We only have to watch that defense once a week, but Lanning has to view it every day of the week. Perhaps, that why he goes for it so frequently on fourth downs. He probable has more confidence in Nix and the offense, than he does in his defense at his point. I am pretty even keeled, however I might just lose it if we were to lose to the Huskies, Beavs, and the Trojans all in the same year.
  8. Back and forth on the Palouse...I know it was a TOUGH loss for us today, but the PAC 12 has been exciting this year (let's excluded Colorado from the aforementioned).
  9. The backers can fill their gaps quicker without having to account for Nix. When Nix is healthier, backers have to account for him, which is just enough for our o-line to get up to them, which is not happening tonight
  10. Perhaps the adjustment was to utilize Ty legs...If that was plan B, I hope he has a plan C. The offense needs a running threat from the qb.
  11. They gotta get past it...Still up by 7, and they'll get the ball. That will not decided the game.
  12. Yeah, Oregon D looks better, but I am wondering why Utah is going at their strength. Washington gave them a blue print, and they are refusing to air it out in hopes of exposing the Duck pass defense. I think we see them be more aggressive passing in the second half
  13. Nice to see Bennett get a pick, especially after a tough week against the Dawgs last weekend.
  14. Nice to see a d-lineman make a play to get the d off the field.
  15. Got my eyes on that USC/UCLA game too...it's turned into a track meet.
  16. Not getting the tv broadcast....by Joey Mac is sounding great tonight 7-0 ....Go Ducks!
  17. That's good news Charles! Now if we gotta hope the defense shows up.
  18. USC just punched it in...now down by 7. It's tough to root for the Trojans, but my 'head' says that Oregon doesn't beat Chip a second time in the championship game, IF Oregon can get past Utah and Oregon St. (the Beavs playing good ball y'all).
  19. Utah 31 28 0 turnovers 1 sack 210 yards passing
  20. Who would be SMU's dancing partner? UTSA? Could Tulane ever emerge as a candidate (great academics)?
  21. How does he continue to get recruits?
