  1. Hope Larry Scott is happy he destroyed the PAC-12 in the process. I think Kliavkoff seriously needs to bring USC and UCLA to the table and try to convince them to reconsider their plans to move to the B1G. Things hopefully should be looking up for the PAC moving forward.
  2. I would argue that TCU's offense is a little better - they scored a TD versus OBD scoring only a FG
  3. Speaking of which - Georgia could've scored considerably more in OBD beatdown, but IMHO Kirby Smart was just having mercy on his former DC and let his foot off the gas in the later stages of the game lol.
  4. I'm glad the two traitor schools lost. USC has morphed into a typical Lincoln Riley type team - all offense and no defense. Come to think of it, UCLA had no D either which caused them to lose their bowl game in the last seconds. Sad that Utah lost although it is debatable that the Utes could have won the game had Cam Rising not left due to an injury.
  5. USC would've been beaten convincingly, no question. If the Trojans can't handle Utah, how do they expect to handle TCU, tOSU or Mchigan, or Georgia? USC has morphed into a typical Lincoln Riley coached team, which is all offense and no defense.
  6. Lol! The absolute worst ever commissioner of the PAC-12 who was all about himself and whose lavish irresponsible spending led to the downfall of the conference. On second thought, maybe if the B1G hires him, in turn he will do a lot of good things for the PAC, where USC and UCLA return, and we also gain Michigan and tOSU lol. So yes, let's support the B1G hiring Scott as their new commissioner lol!
  7. Perhaps. I always thought Sonny Dykes was an odd fit at California. The issue IMHO during Dykes time at Cal was that none of his teams had any D to speak of - his offense though was creative and interesting to watch. With Wilcox, it's just the opposite - D is adequate while O is just atrocious. Nonetheless, Cal can be a difficult place to produce a winner although Jeff Tedford proved that you can win there - having winning records 9 of the 11 seasons he coached at the school.
  8. The B1G can have UCLA now if they want them. Nevermind about waiting until after next season lol.
  9. IDK, I'll deny myself and -gulp!- root for the Fuskies because I am of the mindset that what's good for the PAC-12 is good for Oregon too lol. Just like spartan 2785 stated - I'm tired of the PAC-12 being viewed as a joke conference and the only way to get respect and interest, and thus revenues, is to win. The rest of the PAC especially need to step up to the plate since the LA traitor schools are leaving.
  10. Wasn't pretty like y'all said but we'll take the W!
  11. Oh man! Go Ducks! I have to go take an extra dose of my blood pressure meds now lol!
  12. The Ducks really missing Dilly right now - jus' sayin'. Very predictable play-calling. I'm afraid we're going to lose this game - still keeping the faith though.

  14. San Diego State and Fresno State for me. Both fall within the geographic footprint of the PAC-12 and have great potential. The PAC-12 needs as much California presence as it can get. UNLV just doesn't have that great a football history and Boise State and SMU, although they both have good football teams as of late, would only be marginally valuable to the conference at best.
  15. Best of luck to Noah Sewell - that guy was a beast and gave his all in every game like another poster had stated. I also wished that he had chosen to finish the season in the Holiday Bowl but it's also understandable why he would opt out.
  16. I just hope this doesn't cause his brother to flip to Oregon State or another team. Personally, I would find it hard if I was a DL to line up against my brother to rip his head off lol.
  17. Unfortunately, like what many have said, we can't control what these kids do. It is disappointing that PB flipped again but we just wish him the best. We just have to move on to trying to sign the next promising recruit or even take a look at the transfer portal to see if there's anyone who would be a right fit.
  18. As far as academic rankings go, yes, UW is ahead of the U of O in regard to the metrics used by US News and other college ranking organizations. However, I feel like I had received a good education at the U of O overall and where I live, U of O alums have actually done quite well holding prestigious positions in business, government and education. A big difference I had also observed in my experience is it seems the U of O alums seemed to value social responsibility more than graduates of other prestigious institutions who seemed to have a more corporate mindset. I guess while name recognition does indeed open a lot of doors - how you apply the education you're given matters far more. As long as you graduate from a university that is accredited by a legitimate organization, adopt a lifelong learning attitude and be practical and socially responsible in your daily applications, those would get you far IMHO.
  19. IMHO until they actually sign on the dotted line, everything is just mere speculation. I'll believe it when I see it.
  20. Awesome news for the Ducks if Novosad does indeed flip! Going from one shade of green to another lol! OTOH, these recruiting wars can get vicious...
  21. MC should just concentrate on the recruiting which is definitely what he's good at and let the OC and DC do their jobs. Of course, MC's other major responsibility will be giving his "blessing" as the HC to whatever calls the OC or DC suggest at critical junctures in the game. Other than that, he should just delegate responsibilities to appropriate staff. Otherwise, he will be driving both players and assistant coaches away, which has happened to some extent already...
