While I have been referred to as "the Big Fish," I don't think that is the context.  (Right!) Is he referring to just fishing, (and catching a great tuna) or did he land a silent verbal from a big recruit?

A lot of “pundits” online and commentators here feel that Oregon is going to lose recruiting battles with Georgia because, well they are Georgia.
