August 30, 20241 yr Thats fine... We can be unranked for most of the season for all I care. I don't think anyone should be ranked until the end of September personally. Preseason rankings are all over the place.
August 30, 20241 yr Administrator No, I do not want to be lowly ranked, and have to watch teams above us-hoping for their loss. it is much easier to start at No. 3, keep winning, and retain a very high seed. Beat Ohio State and be a No. 2 seed, and if the Bulldogs slip…hold my heart! Mr. FishDuck

Generally, the top 5 seem fairly accurate unless injuries take out key players. We just happen to be highly ranked this year. We have always had to battle to move up the rankings. Plus, as stated, the seeding for the playoff is going to be important as to where you play.
August 31, 20241 yr I’m not a fan of playing the Idahos and Portland States of the world. I don’t think it benefits us. We should play out of conference opponents no lower than Mountain West level. Just my two cents.
August 31, 20241 yr Nobody lower than Oregon State. That's a great idea! I'm kidding. I agree though.

I don’t mind, especially the first game to get the kinks out. Most of the other top teams schedule these games. SEC schools schedule 2-3.
