We do NOT discuss the Oregon game here, as we will have a separate GameDay thread for our game, but all the others out there in CFB in this thread. (I will delete posts about the Oregon game, as we need to keep the discussions separate)

Do provide score updates when you can, as well as your thoughts of what you saw.

Go, Navy, 14-0 over UAB.

Kentucky reminds me a bit of Utah. Not a huge pool of talent but well coached, disciplined, and scrappy.

I think they're a dangerous team, their record just doesn't show it.

  • Moderator

The lack of latent on the OL may cost Kentucky the game, particularly the right side.

That Miami - Virginia Tech ending last night still makes me wonder.   As someone said, if it takes the "review crew"  5 minutes or more, then the circumstances have to be so close that the on-field judgement should not be overruled.

Ole Miss goes for it big on 4th down, and convert.

  • Moderator

Ole Miss misses Field Goal to tie...unless it goes to Review.

Ole Miss loses today to Kentucky!  Score 20-17.  That Kentucky team is a scrappy team.  They almost pulled out a win against Georgia.

Kentucky right now is the team NO one wants to play.

USC 7 Wisconsin 0

Great win for Kentucky! First time win at Ol Ms since 1978.

Ever since coach Brooks was there I like to cheer for UK.

They earned that win!

How many spots will UM drop...2?

Indiana now 5-0. Will they make top 25?

Purdue is really bad.

Wisky ties USC, 7-7.

I would think they drop more than two.  They have a loss.  At the moment five teams undefeated who were behind them.  Miami, Oregon, Penn St., Utah, Missouri.

Watching Wisconsin and USuC. Boring as hell. Not the least impressed or worried about either team.

I'm going to go cut my lawn. 🥱

I'm thinking they are the new Stanford. They are dropping games and then making the conference power houses look bad.

Badgers leading 21-10 over USC.  Turnovers are killing USC.

Colorado’s O-Line has shown much improvement against UCF. Sanders has time to throw and they’re running the ball very well.

Did anybody see this Oregon commercial during College Gameday this morning?

Touchdown, USC,, cuts the lead to 21-17.

  • Moderator

Halftime: Texas 14 Mississippi State 6

USC stuffs Wisconsin on 4th and 1 in USC territory. However, if the QB pulls the ball he scores.

  • Moderator

USC 24 Wisconsin 21, end of 3rd quarter.

USC doesn't play Ohio State or Oregon, so a Wisconsin win is more helpful and it's just more fun to see USC lose.

  • Moderator

Another touchdown for USC, play interrupted Gary Danielson explaining why a 10-point lead is better than a 6-point lead.

31-21 > 27-21

Pick-6 USC, concern level over playing Wisconsin is low.

One thing I’ve noticed about most of the fans in the SEC is they love to shake their little pom poms. I wonder if they’re issued at the entrance to the stadium.

I know Gamecock fans only wave towels. They get them handed to them as they enter the stadium.

They absolutely must get them upon entry into the game. Too many and too uniform to be a spur on the moment thing.

When I was writing an article before the season started I noticed there was one game in 2017 against Nebraska where Oregon did give out pom poms.

UGA looks intimidated. Their defensive looks lost and Milroe is doing whatever he wants. This is going to be a bloodbath. It reminds me of the 2021 Oregon/Utah games.

Yeah, UG defense looks hesitant.

Bama is rockin!

As for pom poms, Oregon has given them out in the past. I have quite a few, all yellow. I put them hanging from my trunk on game days.

Wasn't expecting the score at this moment Bama over the Dogs 21 zip.

Sheesh, Bama shellacking Georgia 28-0 halfway thru the second quarter. Never would have believed that.

It this beatdown on Georgia continues, they should slide down the rankings past OBD.

I think I'm in as much shock about the score as the Georgia players, never saw this coming.  Didn't think there would be a blowout either way, but this looks like an all-time blowout.

I'm trying to care about the Penn St - UI game during commercials. I just can't. I'm bad at B1G.

I’m sure Kirby will be calm and collected at halftime. Bama will be ranked #1 for sure after this.

The Polls will be interesting tomorrow. 5-0 Indiana needs to be there.

It seems that a lot of favored teams are not playing well today. I’m not really that confident in a Ducks beat down in the Rose Bowl tonight. I guess I’ll see what happens in the morning since I’m on the East Coast.

I'm with you there... I'm more invested in Clemson v Stanford... Lol

I don't know if that was Smart to go for 2 there,

I’ve got it on. It’s a really good game if you’re not a fan of the forward pass.

Bad call on that UG 2 pt attempt. Looked more like defensive holding imo.

By going for 2, would help with momentum and give an edge after scoring 3 more tds. And if you missed, we'll plenty of time for a field goal or another 2 pt try.

I liked the call.

That seems like wishful thinking.

Yeah... Bama is destroying Georgia.

I don't think Georgia is as good as the rankings have indicated. Their close call against Kentucky showed some faults.

Granted it also looks like Bama is a very good team.

Yikes, Kirby needs to make some major adjustments at halftime. They look completely unprepared.

  • Moderator

I wanted Georgia to win, but knowing this is causing pain to Washington fans makes it okay.
