In the other game, there are all the ingredients of an upset; Penn State just lost a big emotion game, UW just got a big B1G win, going East isn't as hard as going West, and at best, Penn State's offense is plodding and predictable. Solar No. 4 Share Posted November 5 I think Indiana beats Michigan easily. Washington is about as good as Michigan and they beat Washington by the same score we beat Michigan this weekend. It is easier to go west than east for jet lag, BUT the game time can outweigh that generality. Playing a game east that starts at 12:30 pm PST is easier than headed west to play a game starting at 8-10pm EST.

I LOVE this! I am going to be laughing my head off for a long time as I reflect upon how EVERYONE, including yours-truly thought we had a real issue joining this league. The disadvantage is with them! Especially if they play one of the "Fresno States" of the conference and have the late TV slot. 1 Mr. FishDuck
CalBear95 No. 6 Share Posted November 5 I think the time zone disadvantage cuts both ways and this is especially pronounced for west coast teams going east for a 12:30 pm game. The body clock says 9:30 am and that’s not so easy. For any doubters out there, ask west coast NFL teams how they feel about the 1 pm est games. They don’t like them and there can be hits to performance which could make a difference in a high leverage game. If the B1G was in any way interested in being fair (and I think that standard goes out the window when money is also in the mix), teams going east would not have kickoffs past 4 or 5 and west coast teams earlier than 3:30. However, in college football since players still need to be students, a lot of teams are up and practicing in the morning because students still need to go to class. It's not perfect and I am also sure that not every individual does great with that but that is something that a team can reasonably practice for. Whereas an east coast team is less likely to start a practice at 8pm. It all has an effect on the game for sure.

Good post, thank you. HOWEVER, Friends 30 + Kam, PLEASE STOP ROOTING FOR B1G PO CONTENDERS TO TAKE A LOSS. OBD is a Junior Partner and needs the post-season Money Ball dues. OBD needs PSU and Indy to keep on trucking and be rewarded with a Delightful Dozen Invitation so the B1G goes PO 4 for 12. One more than It Just Matters More. I'll bet a Nittany Lions Lid and a Hoosiers Lid against a UW Lid in a White Out and a Michigan Lid with the Wolverines playing a team with an offense with a pulse led by a top-drawer CFB QB in Kurtis Rourke. Michigan State at OREGON - Ducks 31 - Sparty 10. Indiana AT Michigan State - 1st Q. Sparty 10-0. Final - Hoosiers 47 - Sparty 10. USC at UWho - Another SC 4th Q choke was needed for the Fuskies to win in Seattle. Things are so bad for SC that Miller will gather Moss on the bench. I'll give you UWho +14 and +14 on Nobody Has It More Mediocre Than Us! Terminate the Terrapins!

30Duck Author Moderator No. 14 Share Posted November 6 Rece Davis: "I like Will Howard as a young man, and I think he's a good quarterback," Davis said. "But if it comes down to who's gonna make a play—Will Howard or Cam Ward, Will Howard or Dillon Gabriel, Will Howard or even Quinn Ewers... I'm not sure I'd take him over any of those guys to make that play." We all saw what Will Howard did to OBD. So don't pay attention to Davis. Will Howard's only weakness is he's inaccurate on Fade Routes. He's missed four TDs on those so far. But he'll kill you on everything else. Now that they know their OL is fine, Howard is going to carve up playoff teams. Cam Ward on the other hand, has the same problem he had in Pullman - an unreliable defense. He'll start facing real defenses in the playoffs, so he's cooked. Ewers is only as good as his OL and WRs. The SEC exposed them, and the Longhorn defense. Which leaves us and Georgia. Ever since last year's SEC Title game, one flaw has come up with Georgia. They're not as flawless, and they tend to self destruct more often in big games. Some of that is motivation, some of it less depth. But they aren't invincible anymore. As far as OBD, we've got a third quarter issue that may be more by design. But the other issue is full concentration. I haven't seen a complete game out of OBD yet. Which is good and bad. The problem -an issue all the contenders have- is there is no room for error when it comes to facing the best of the best. Execution 95% of the time is my concern, because it is going to take that kind of focus to win it all. We match up well with them all. Will we execute on second and two ( offense or defense) is my concern. Every Series. We did that to Michigan several times, which woke a lot of pundits up. Can OBD do that to Ohio State again. To Georgia, Texas , Penn State ( yep, them too) or even Miami? That is the $100 Quadrillion question. Will OBD 'earn' gazillions for the fans? Lol We have the best chance ever to win a title. But OBD have to be damn near perfect for at least four games late in the season.

I get that this version is putting up great stats, But I can't, and actually don't want to, get over that without being saved by the video booth, all of his heroics would still have the Canes sitting at 6-3 at best.
