Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted November 25 Closed practices? I wonder what Dano has in mind? Ignore that, as the Huskies are going to win the MOTHER of all Rivalry Games... Mr. FishDuck

David Marsh No. 3 Share Posted November 25 It could be some special teams stuff they have brewing. The media is only there for the first 15 minutes or so and that coincides with special teams reps. So.... probably something crazy is brewing.
jrw Moderator No. 4 Share Posted November 25 Shooting all the background/establishing shots for the upcoming Ducks vs. Them release...wouldn't want to give the theme away.
EastBayDuckDad Moderator No. 5 Share Posted November 25 Could also be related to a desire to not showcase the availability of Tez and JBurch along with some new twists on offense and defense.
Haywarduck No. 6 Share Posted November 25 For me it would be to make sure the language I would use when describing the dawgs isn't advertised through the media. Not sure how long I could go before what I said wasn't deleted or created bulletin board material, smart move Dan! After two losses I can imagine Coach Lanning's feelings might be stronger than mine. GeotechDuck No. 7 Share Posted November 25 Uh oh. Let’s hope he doesn’t go into full “River Boat” Dan mode for this game against Washington.

The media is only there for the first 15-20 minutes, even when allowed. So nothing in terms of offense, defense or special teams is shown to the media other than the players warming up. BUT, the media CAN see who is practicing, and now it makes sense that Oregon wants to hide who is ready to play, and who is not. Mr. FishDuck

This is what I'm hoping for. Tez, Harper, and Burch all show up 100% healthy for the game and proceed to tear the Fuskies a new one. If Harper comes back, that would make the OL the healthiest it's been since before the season started with both him and Dave Iuli working RG.
DanLduck No. 11 Share Posted November 25 This is the 2nd time media were closed out. I believe the first time was before the Michigan game. I hope it gets the same result! Also a good way to help block out all other outside noise and help maintain focus. Good on ya, coach Lanning.
