30Duck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted December 1 According to ESPN's Football Power Index, the Longhorns are now the heavy national title favorite. Before Saturday's slate of game, Ohio State had a 22% chance to win the national title - the best chance of any team. However, with the Buckeyes loss and Texas' win, the Longhorns now have a 23.4% chance to win the title. The next closest team is Notre Dame at 15.1%.

David Marsh No. 3 Share Posted December 1 Meh... Fine Going to be honest. Their offense has looked in decline for some time. But I suppose getting the SEC bump helps them. They get to play Georgia. We can see how that goes for them. 1
Sandy Rocks No. 4 Share Posted December 1 How predictable of ESPN. Their prediction is what they want to have happen not what might happen. If wishes were fishes, we'd have some to fry.
Haywarduck No. 5 Share Posted December 1 Keep the disrespect and humor, ND again?, coming! Notre Dame 4-10 in last 10 bowl games, and lost to the beavs 40-8 last year! If these pundits were stock brokers they would still be pounding the table on Enron. Fortunately Vegas has Oregon as the favorite to win it all. Keep the talking heads going, creating inspiration, not that we need it. 1 3 1 1

Hayward, someone at ESPN HQ needs to get the computers on the same page. Did the computers watch the Longhorns on O last night? A+M bookended similar No Show On O games vs the Domers and the Horns. Texas D looked good before it played a "REAL" SEC team when the Dawgs dropped in for a visit. With Texas' SOS, a good D will look like the best in the nation. In dishonor of Bevo, I'm calling Male Bovine Excrement! The Talking Heads went GA-GA over Notre Dame late last night/ early today on the Right Coast. ND is another team with a crummy SOS. 3-1 vs the G5. Way to go Irish! 4th Q FCS look alike USC put up 557 yards of O on the Domers on Saturday. Back-to-back Ints doomed the Trojans. If ND hosts a 1st round PO game against a better-coached team with firepower it could be a tough day in South Bend. Please CFB gods, Make It So. OBD is No. 1. Not only in the rankings but also No. 1 at the close of the regular season in ESPN's Strength of Record Rankings. I guess the FPI and SOR computers don't live on the same floor? PUNISH PENN STATE! 1 1 1
Desert Duck No. 7 Share Posted December 1 The only prediction that matters is Vegas. And ND... please make it stop. Year in and year out we hear this same old crap. Lousy 6-6 USC just put up 557 yards on them. And ND needed 2 pick sixes to win. So please, spare us the ND garbage.
OregonDucks No. 8 Share Posted December 1 Didn’t we hear how deep and tough the SEC is this year and then their top teams started dropping like flies to .500 teams and the SEC’s best team took 8 OT to beat Georgia Tech?!!! Respect everyone, fear no one! 1

I keep hoping that the Ducks face a perpetually over-rated ND in the post season but it never happens. They should be treated like any other mid-major. Their schedule is a joke. 1 1

Haywarduck No. 13 Share Posted December 1 It does make me worry, a little, the pundits will say the Ducks were lucky if they win it all. They caught the SEC on an off year. Any other year and they would only be a top 5 team in the SEC. That will then drive us to win a few more, no worries! 1
Jon Joseph Moderator No. 14 Share Posted December 1 The early line for Saturday's game is OBD -3.5. Ohio State was a putative -3.5 favorite vs. OREGON. Neuter the Nits!
Nevada Dawg No. 15 Share Posted December 3 As for ND, I thought the comparisons involving the Trojans were compelling at pointing to how overrated ND is. I don't know if it is possible, but I'd love to see a first round matchup of ND and Indiana. The passion in the Hoosier state would almost have to be off the scale. I've always said to anyone who would listen that ND looked so good on defense because they hadn't played anyone. I think that Boise State might run them out of the stadium wherever that game took place. I think that the Ducks handle the Lions on Championship Saturday, but this is really the first Power Team OBD has faced away from the friendly confines of Autzen and the game could end up being uncomfortably close. But even if the Ducks get punched in the mouth early, I'm confident that they will prevail if they shake off he early adversity and just keep grinding. 1

Warren is a weapon for Penn State. But the Ducks have Tez, Stewart, Jones, Ferguson, Sadiq, Lowe, Whitttington, Holden. Eventually, Penn State won't hold up.
