He's Back. Brian Jones Picks Oregon to Lose Again!

Recommended Posts

On "Inside College Football", after Rick Neuheisel picked the Ducks, citing the versatility of OBD's offense, Brian Jones said, "I'm going with Penn State", his reasoning was, "if Penn State can consistently get Oregon in 3rd & long, they could be in trouble."

How did none of the coaches Oregon played think of that?

Brilliant.  Isn’t that the formula against EVERY team?

Did he predict that if PSU could score more points than the Ducks, they would win?

Seemed to me like he said that if PSU could score more points than the Ducks, they MIGHT win.

He's supposed to be an EXPERT?

Hey Brian, I hate to break it to you, but with reasoning like that, you're not predicting Oregon to lose.

You're just HOPING they do.

You're hoping that they finally drop a game, so you can tell everyone, "See?? See?? I was right!! I told you they'd lose!!" That is quite disappointing. I expect more, although I'm not sure why I do.

Apparently a lot of people can't stand the fact that Oregon is quite possibly the only truly ELITE  team in the country, and that they've been holding that No.1 ranking like a war veteran coming home for the holidays.

Oregon's here to stay. Deal with it.

Consistency is the hobgoblin of mediocre minds. Especially, when consistently WRONG!

Dis the ducks? Fine. Good luck to your HUGELY over-ranked Horns vs. UGA in the ATL.

30-15 in Austin. How about 42 to 17 in Hot Lanta!

He's loud and goofy....the only skills needed for modern sports talk.  Sense-making?  Not so much.

yeah.. it seems like it was cool to say they were a top 5 team in pre-season.  But now that things got real, they dont like the fact the Ducks are on top.

*edit* I see he is an ex Texas Longhorn player.  Now I get it

No better job in the world than to talk sports, use cliches, make predictions (right or wrong), and never be held accountable for those predictions.

In March Madness, everyone loves those early round upsets and if the underdog does it again and reaches the sweet sixteen, even better.

After that, the thrill wears off and people want to see the traditional powers in the final four.

OBD is that exciting outsider that is getting to be too much of a threat and it makes the traditionalists nervous.

Undefeated and number one and now a top recruiting class with the portal about to open and the playoffs looming.

No. Cinderella is supposed to be home in bed by now, not continuing to be the life of the party.

He's hoping his Horns don't play Oregon and get Ducked. 😁

he's a clown🤡

I've seen him on the show with Neuheisel and all he does is try and talk over the others.
