Posted January 8Jan 8 Administrator I am trying to NOT get ahead of my skis on this, but if he returned--it would be a massive lift to the offense. In one mock draft, he is selected No. 18 overall and thus he SHOULD go to the NFL. But other mock drafts have him in the second round or worse. Offensive tackles have a long shelf life in the NFL, and adding some weight and refining his technique could put him in the top-10 draft picks next year. He has to decide in the next week... He has been so superb for OBD that I truly want what is best for him. If he STAYS.... It would be CRAZY for the Ducks. Mr. FishDuck

I truly want what's best for me, and that's him staying. That would also be good for him, likely his NFL projection would improve, he could get bigger, really hone his skills. So, don't ponder too long, just stay.
January 8Jan 8 he is in a good position either way.. He will get good money in college a stellar year next year puts him in the top 10 NFL draft easily.

January 9Jan 9 I'm hoping to see some jumps in offensive line depth and play next year. Center and at least one guard position should be solid. Hoping to see some significant development and gelling take place before the season.
January 9Jan 9 Wish JC all the best at the next level. The dude was the latest monster OT rocking it for OBD. OaD, AaD (Once a Duck, Always a Duck)
January 9Jan 9 Most NFL mock drafts that I have seen have him going mid to late first round. I think going to the NFL is the right decision for Conerly. He has nothing else to prove at this level and, while he may be able to improve his draft position a little, it’s not worth the risk of injury and a year’s delay. I’m sure that he’ll be a heck of a player in the NFL for years to come like other Duck O-lineman who came before him. So glad that he came to Oregon. Godspeed. Once a Duck, always a Duck!
