The football program that pays for the non-revenue sports is getting the most money? Shocking!

Oklahoma has laid off athletic department employees. This will likely be the norm and not the exception.

Not so much with NIL as that comes from outside the program and cannot come from the program itself.

However, with revenue sharing becoming a thing soon that will put strain on them.

The author is trying too hard to draw eyeballs by mentioning football. Until their football program starts to lose money big like our fellow in-state rodents, I don't think USC will think about touching it at all.

No mention of the USC endowment of 8+ Billion dollars. Apparently they are going to try to actually balance their budget like the rest of us have to do.

Never waste a crisis......USC will use this to leverage alumni to pick up the slack. I will shed no tears for them.

My question or inquiry is what are the operating costs/revenue if you just have football on the ledger. I know travel expenses are huge. But USC runs just about every Olympic sport.

I read an article saying programs may end conference affiliation outside of the big three sports to cut costs. Hockey is run completely different as B1G isn't really a thing. Michigan, Minnesota, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State , and Wisconsin are in a league with Notre Dame for hockey. Florida plays in a subdivision non scholarship league.

Good to know the average Joe will be at home soon . . .

USC is in the top 10 of schools with the most wealthy alumnus. Its a pretty impressive list.

Also they are number 8 on the list with the most billionaires as graduates. Those 18 graduates billionaores have a combined wealth just north of $58 billion. The Trojan debt is simply a drop in the bucket, however front runner alumni only donate to champions!

I am so suprised that the trojan athletic department has not blamed this debt on the Oregon Ducks and demanded PK pay it off for them.

Afterall, somewhere in their fight song is a subliminal message that signals, if we have a problem it's the Ducks fault.
