On3 put out an article this morning where they discussed the major candidates for the Florida job. The surprise to me was Jeff Brohm of Louisville was one of the three, fresh off the upset of Miami. If Brohm left the Cardinals, then I could see Will Stein "going-home" to his, and his wife's alma mater. That was a potential domino that I didn't see coming...

Josh Pate has his CFB ranking, and he put Oregon at No. 3 in the nation....ahead of all the known names, and right behind Ohio State and Indiana. I enjoy his love, but frankly....30Duck was pointing out to me that the best Duck win to date is....unranked 5-2 Northwestern?

The others in the top ten have a better resume' at the moment, but I appreciate Josh's support of Our Beloved Ducks.

If OBD sends another OC off to be a head coach of a major program, they will once again bring in whoever they want.

Could eventually have egg on my face for saying this, but Will Stein strikes me as the OC-for-Life type.

Not that he won't make the jump and give it a shot, I just don't get the HC vibe from him.

With Kenny Dillingham it was obvious from his first interview that he would be leaving Oregon for an HC job if he was a successful OC.

IMO with all of the HC openings (and more to come) and the absolutely stupid $$ being tossed around, there’s almost zero chance we won’t need a new OC.

I choose to embrace it…the days of a 5 year OC are pretty much gone for us.

The Pate ranking is based on his computer model which still gives credit to the Penn St road victory.

Stein and Louisville?

I believe Louisville's QB this season is a senior. His backup, a junior, has appeared in 3 games and attempted 9 passes total.

I imagine if Stein went to Louisville at least one guy on the Oregon roster would follow him.

Brohm has also been an assistant and a head coach in the Big Ten. Penn State likely also has him on their possibilities list.

Louisville QB Miller Moss is done after this season. Same for Brohm's first season QB Jake Plummer, and last season's QB Tyler Shough.

Brohm can coach! He took Purdue from a doormat to a team that contended every week.

I think Charles' call is spot on. If Brohm can be lured away from his alma mater, Will will be heading back home.
