December 13, 2025Dec 13 Administrator No. Actually, what I read elsewhere was that he was leaving Utah, but could still be interested in a coaching position. Michigan? Mr. FishDuck

December 13, 2025Dec 13 No. Coach Whitt is a shining star in the disheveled universe of head coaches. He led with hard work, integrity and continual improvement. I will miss him heading Utah football.
December 13, 2025Dec 13 No. Per Whittingham’s latest contract extension, he will serve as a “special assistant to the athletics director” following retirement for two years at a salary of $3.45 million per year.more here about his Utah career: https://www.deseret.com/sports/2025/12/12/utah-utes-kyle-whittingham-retiring-leaves-lasting-legacy/

Dylan Raiola is out with a broken leg, Nebraska's backup QB gets the start.
December 13, 2025Dec 13 No. Of all the teams from ye olde Pac12, the one I miss playing the most is Utah. I enjoyed and respected the teams that Coach Whittingham always brought to the field. They were never an easy out, and always played their backsides off until the final whistle.Never an easy team to play, but certainly more fun when we won 😁Much respect sent, I'm wishing Coach Whittingham the best in whatever his future endeavors are.OlCodgerDuck Edited December 13, 2025Dec 13 by olcodgerduck

December 14, 2025Dec 14 No. He's arguably the most respected coach in all of college football. He'd be a fantastic get for Michigan, if indeed he's open to being a head coach.
December 15, 2025Dec 15 No. I always respected this guy and his teams. I heard this Alabama lineman (an All-American) tell a story about playing Utah in one of the New Years Day bowls in a year after the Tide had won the Natty. He said Coach Saban didn't like the way they were practicing leading up to the game telling them "You better be getting your heads on straight or this man's team will kick your rear-ends!" They scoffed, went to the game, and got their rear-ends kicked.I think it is likely Whit would succeed In Ann Arbor but believe he is really retiring.
