Nice. Looks like a good back up player and possible special teams contributor?

He counts toward the 2022 and not the 2023 class, right? If it is the 2022 class, do you use a scholarship on this young man or save it for a guy out of the portal?

It is very impressive to me the number of preferred walk-ons the coaches are bringing in. And from all over, Tenn., CA, GA, and in state.

They are wanting to play for these coaches. Nice. Very nice.

And some of the preferred walk ons are some pretty good players with some solid scholarship D1 offers in their own right.

Those players are big deals as they really are the project players who can be developed into some dominant players.

Now, the next step after that would be ensuring they develop and the team holds onto them for a few years as the portal can become a tempting place for a pwo who is a rising star.

He's a walk-on. With the NIL, walk-ons now get compensation. He doesn't count against the numbers as a walk-on. I'd imagine we grab an OL and another DB out of the portal after spring but that could change depending upon who we lose to the portal as well.
