Fast FishDuck Facts From Beating Bruins

Recommended Posts

I know...I got a thing with alliteration.

--Fourth largest Autzen crowd ever at 59,962?  I did not know it could go to almost 60,000!

--17th straight conference win at home, a program record.

--Tied the program record for 23 straight wins at home among all games.

--Sole leader of the Pac-12 with no losses.

--Rushed for over 200 yards for 5th time this season.

--Did not allow a sack versus the Bruins.

--Bruins led the Pac-12 for rushing defense...until this game!

--Bruins only had SEVEN possessions the entire game?  Whew!

Bo Nix by Eric Evans of Oregon Football Twitter.jpg

--Bo Nix had an incredible day with five touchdown passes.

--Oregon held UCLA to their lowest point output all season.

--You want offensive balance?  283 passing and 273 on the ground. Whew!

--Cam Lewis is a perfect eight-for-eight this season in field goals.

This team is not perfect, but there are a ton of things going right.

UCLA has a good offense.

DTR and ZC are both good... ZC is an absolute beast!

So Oregon holding them to their lowest scoring output all season is actually pretty good. It was definitely bend but don't break defense today.

Should we be bummed about not forcing a punt... Absolutely... But let's take the win.

What say you now about special teams?

Getting more special.

Kicking is an A

Returns are a B ... No real major return game but not hurting us is good.

Punting... Still not sure. Only one put today.

A few more stats:

1) Today was the 3rd time that Oregon has scored on 7 straight possessions in a game this year.

2) Some of Oregon’s freshman class was not born the last time UCLA won at Autzen.

Mariø set a record today also. Win/win.

Offensively Oregon looks to be a CFP standard. Every week they get better. Stats aside, Oregon looks like the 2nd best (tOSU) offense in the country. They pass the eye test.

The D held UCLA to fg's when it mattered. When it was time to go man, Ducks stopped them in their tracks. 3 ain't WND.

D is getting better. Sewell made some plays late. Flowe took a horrible angle on that TD. Gotta fix LB play.

Got 5 to play before Pac title game. Fix LB play and and who knows what could happen. Maybe we get UGA and tOSU to finish out 22.

No, we shouldn't because both coaches don't believe in punting, preferring to roll the dice instead.

It's what we knew Chip would do and what Dan Lanning has been doing.  O did stop them in that they had to settle for 3 FG's instead of TD's.  That's 12 points UCLA left on the table. Maybe 15 if Chip goes for 2 - which he most likely would have - being behind.

A one point UCLA had not punted, no turnovers, scored on all of their possessions and trailed by 22.

NICE
