  1. Past hour
  2. Bama will not score unless it’s a FG in garbage time. They’re already calling for DeBoer’s head on social media.
  3. ‘They Carried Us’: Oregon Offense Praises Defense After Shutout Win Oregon’s offense openly praised the Ducks’ dominant defense after a shutout win over Texas Tech in the Orange Bowl, calling it one of the best defensive performances in program history.
  4. Awesome day for our defense. Looking ahead to Indiana (who is cruising to victory to be the first long-layoff team to win), I agree with the following comments from others here: "Our offense has got to figure some things out before we play our next game. 1 offensive TD on a short 5 yard field, is not going to cut it next time." "If Oregon has to play Indiana, Dante needs to fix his happy feet or the result will be the same as the October game." We'll be facing a very similar defense against Indiana, with a dominant, disruptive front. Our offense is better overall today than when we played them the first time, but there were some troubling tendencies today that looked a bit like that first Indiana game. Lots of miscues on offense and an inability (for the most part) to respond well to the pressure. Defense carried the load this game, offense needs to get better for a very similar defense next week.
  5. The close up of the Alabama bands's faces. Oh man, they are trying to smile, but they know their goose is cooked. The game is not over, but it's over, unless Mendoza gets knocked out of the game early in the second half. Is the SEC going to end up with one out of conference victory in this year's bowl games and playoffs? Alabama isn't even competitive. I thought Notre Dame should have gotten in above Alabama. We knew the fix was in when they swapped Bama and Notre Dame on a week where nothing happened.
  6. After previous big game shortcomings, Oregon's defense may have just played its best game of all-time No. 5 Oregon turned in a defensive masterclass in Thursday's 23-0 victory over Texas Tech in the Orange Bowl in Miami.
  7. Hey CalBear. Long time. Congrats on hiring Tosh. As you know, he’s a tremendous recruiter and it’ll be interesting to see how he adapts to being the headman. I hope we schedule some OOC games in the future with our former PAC-10 foes.
  8. Oregon's mindset is aggressiveness, and it breeds championship-level confidence as Ducks reach CFP semifinals Oregon forced four turnovers and went for it on fourth down eight times in its CFP shutout of Texas Tech

  10. The long layoff bug is very real, they need to change the format. But it doesn't appear to be bothering Indiana much (at least after the 1st quarter). I think Indiana is the top team in this playoff (other than Oregon). I'd love to have the layoff bug bite Indiana and play Alabama in the next round, but there appears to be zero chance of that happening.
  11. 3 things Oregon must correct before facing winner of Alabama-IndianaDespite the double-digit, shutout win over Texas Tech, the Oregon Ducks have a few things to fix before they play a snap in the CFP semifinal. 14. Curse is probably over... Indiana looks focused and Bama looks lost. Probably the Oregon v Indiana rematch.

  16. Also a great one with the Duck doing push-ups wearing a tortilla blanket
  17. No. 5 Oregon's Orange Bowl shutout of No. 4 Texas Tech shouldn't overshadow QB Dante Moore's poor playWhile the Oregon defense was simply sensational with four turnovers, its offense left a lot to be desired. The Ducks were 4-of-19 on third down and had 15 first downs the entire game. Fortunately for them, quarterback Behren Morton (18-of-32 for 137 yards and two interceptions) and the Red Raiders offense were even worse, paving the way for a comfortable College Football Playoff quarterfinal win.
  18. Well... I don't think Indiana's defense is going to be any easier than TT's. Next game, if our offense doesn't show up, we'll be headed home.
  19. Our Defense got a lot of help by their QB's incompletions. And I can't fathom why we would continue running into the middle of their defense and also risking Dante with runs, most or all of which did not get a first down. He was limping at one point in the 2nd half. Shaking my head.
  20. Today
  21. Karen better figure something out quick or this game will be over by halftime.
  22. DeBoer is looking lost on the sideline.
  23. Simpson wasn’t sliding. He was getting dragged down. That run should’ve been a first down.
  24. Dan Lanning has brought a trophy back home to Eugene in every year he has coached at Oregon. Chip would’ve done the same if the Pac-12 gave out trophies prior to 2011.
