Oregon - Texas Tech Pre-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
This article is not Orange Bowl-specific, but it is an interesting look at how defenses have caught up to offenses, and the difference from the (real) Pac-12 and the Big Ten, especially for Lincoln Riley at USC. https://trojanswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/trojans/football/2025/12/30/lincoln-riley-usc-better-football-coach-oklahoma/87871325007/?utm_source=smg-trojanswire-strada&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=SMGbaseline&utm

Stranger Things About Texas Tech…
Thank you, Mike, for another terrific, in-depth article. I'll never forget that Crabtree catch, made more indelible by Chris Fowler on the sideline with his mouth wide open, in shock, I think? Lots of respect between Dan and McGuire. As Dan inquires, 'Why is this game being played in Miami?' (E$PN 🤬) That'll Be the Day when ESPN 'dies' and a quarter final is played in Lubbock, with the semifinals coming up Roses with a dose of Sugar on the 1st. Note: In Miami, all tortillas thrown over the line will be delivered (by Diego Pavia) to the home of Doctor Mendoza.😁 Will the 2025-26 PO be a bowl of joy for Campbell? I hope not. But if so, it will be a B1G return on investment. Uncle Phil deserves better. Don't Horse Around, Wreck Tech!

Stranger Things About Texas Tech…
What a fantastic article. Well researched and sourced. Inside info from V Mac II as a bonus. Bravo! I can’t wait for this game. To me this is the they either are or they ain’t game we’ve been waiting for. TT is no joke on either side of the ball and have strengths at every position group OBD usually can pencil in advantages at. Any advantage will need to be earned and every disadvantage will need to be compensated for or else. Pass this test and OBD is that team we hoped they were and a championship will be possible. Come up short then they ain’t that team yet but let’s just not go there. Man I can’t wait for the New Year

The Red Raiders...National Champions 2025? "Stranger Things" have happened and this may actually be the most challenging game but personally, I like OBD's chances in hoisting that trophy in the end. But I'm major "homer" soooo....🙄 GO DUCKS! 👍

Oregon - Texas Tech Pre-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
Oregon Ducks’ three keys to victory over Texas Tech in CFPThe Ducks slipped a little bit in the second half of last week’s game, but before that it seemed like they were playing their best ball at the right time. The offense is rolling right now, so if the defense can put together an entire game like the first half, then this game against Texas Tech has the potential to be a classic. Let’s see what Oregon needs to do to come out on the right side of history.

Northwestern Tabs Chip Kelly as Offensive Coordinator: What Former NFL Coach, Oregon Guru Brings to Big Ten
Well, if Willie Taggart can find a job as running back coach in the NFL (Ravens), I am sure there will always be job opportunities for 'Ol Chipper. Success defined at Northwestern looks a heckuva lot different than success in the NFL, so good luck to him. I am not at all concerned about how this impacts any head to head matchups with OBD.

Will Stein acknowledges Joe Moore Award snub, Oregon O-Line motivated to prove its supremacy Oregon's offensive line continues to be one of the best in the country, but for the third straight year, A'lique Terry's group remain bridesmaids. The Joe Moore Award went to Iowa this season, an award the Ducks were finalists for once again.

Stranger Things About Texas Tech…
Mike Ostrom has written many great guest articles for us over the years, and this one is a dandy that I am sure you will all learn quite a bit from. To receive some insight from Verone McKinley III's father who played for Texas Tech back in the 90s is something special. My thanks again to Mike for his interview and research for the benefit of all FishDuck readers!

Stranger Things About Texas Tech…
Great article. Here's some more Tech trivia. I believe they're the only school to have killed their own mascot in the middle of a game. In a 1994 game their black quarter horse named Double T threw his masked rider and ran towards the tunnel. When he hit the pavement he slipped and slammed into the wall breaking his neck. To this day, I think the team still touches his saddle on their way onto the field.

Texas Tech Alum/Duck-Dad, Gives Insider Scoops The more you dig into Texas Tech football, the more you see that the brains and financial muscle moving the power pieces in Lubbock are chess players, not checkers. "Texas Tech Will Make a MOCKERY of Oregon"
I get that, however, you must know TT QB was out for that game, which is why ASU scored 26 points. The TT QB was unable to help the defense keep the score down to their average of 10.9 points per game, because he was not on the field. For the defense?? Or maybe if their offense gets stuffed, the D can't keep up their end of the bargain.

First Non-Availability Report for Orange Bowl
No Stewart. Interesting to go from questionable to out. He could have reaggravated his injury. I expect that with another 10 days that Kory Moore and Bryant will contribute significantly more, being much closer to full health
