  1. Past hour
  2. The only good thing about OSU's loss last night is that it wasn't against an SEC team.
  3. So far, looks like TT's front four is legit.
  4. I'm telling you, I wouldn't waste my time establishing a rhythm. Moore missed a wide open Benson for a TD. That mismatch is already apparent.
  5. I don't like their defense getting an unobstructed path to our QB.
  6. After watching Ohio State last night, the 25 day layoff is a real thing and must be fixed. OBD benefit from it today. It wouldn’t surprise me to see all top seeds lose today. The margins between these teams just isn’t that wide and the teams in rhythm win. We’ve known this forever. Teams that showed up for New Year bowl games were not the same and it always took 2-3 quarters to shake the rust off for both teams.
  7. Not that it means a rat's behind, but the ESPN GameDay crew went 3/4 Oregon. Nick, Pat and Kirk all OBD Des for TT
  8. I am ready to watch Mike West's predictions unfold.
  9. Don't forget they no longer have to recruit Oregon players, so some amount of work being done is just a swap. Still, mental focus requires mental rest. Tests show a really tired driver can drive as bad as a drunk driver, so it's a thing.
  10. Stands are shockingly full although I think I seeing a lot of Miami colors mixed in the the greens and reds. Black vs. white jerseys. No mental confusion on who is who.
  11. I share the concern of the original topic post. I’d prefer their full attention, or have them move on and let the new guys give their full attention. I prefer full attention.
  12. I'm so glad we aren't playing in the Rose Bowl. I'm in San Diego and getting flash flood warning on my TV..
  13. Time to get it done! Feels like I’ve been waiting forever for this game! Sco Ducks!!!!!!!!
  14. Hopefully, OBD starts fast and finishes strong so we have very little to complain about.
  15. Oregon Ducks 🦆 35-14 2 TOs created 2 sacks 357 passing yards
  16. 63 degrees in Miami-great weather for the game.
  17. Oregon 24-20 1 turnover 2 sacks 196 passing yards
  18. It does not really matter if they are at their best because they are OBD's best chance at winning today. I'm glad they agreed to stay throughout the playoffs.
  19. Here we are my Duck-Buddies, the thread for pondering the actual game as it happens. Let's discuss before, and during the game! I have made a major change in how we will moderate our GameDay threads. Bottom line, is that you will be allowed to spew your frustration, to vent, as you wish. But Note the Parameters: --This is for GameDay threads only; you have to behave in the regular forum threads as in the past. --You cannot take shots at those who disagree with you, just like in the forum during the week. Remember how we discussed this upfront in this thread. Let's Have Fun Posting During the Game!
  20. They're young. Adrenaline will kick in. Hats off to er, Mario? He made the coordinator hire of the year, bringing in off the radar Corey Hetherman from Minnesota. Ducks PO seeding luck, why not play the Canes on their home field in the title game? 🤪 As the higher seed, will OBD have the home team locker room? I despise the Sheriff of Fansville and tedious reviews of plays that shouldn't be reviewed to begin with. Thus, I'm on a two-hour tape delay, but I'll be back to rue, or hopefully savor, today's game. And OH(io), the Buckeyes need a better play caller. 😁 WRECK TECH!
  21. Today
  22. There may be an element of truth to Stein and Lupoi individually candle burning at both ends. Here's why I don't think it makes much difference. DL set the standard by the way he helped lead Georgia to the NC as DC. The player schedules are run by a network of trainers that optimize sleep time. I would imagine even with the intense game planning the coaches are practicing some of what they preach. The new OC and DC are already in place and will have a lot do with plans on both sides of the ball. Ohana. The players are invested not only in their own success, but in those of their coaches. DL has repeatedly said "You can sleep when you're dead". While maybe not sound medical advice, it is part of the culture at Oregon. Hard work and sacrifice. Much got said about the relative failings of the defense (and a little of the offense) in the second half against JMU. How it could be that Lupoi (and Stein) may not have had their heads and hearts fully engaged. Almost everything I saw in that second half of concern was more a matter of focus and execution, not scheme. I think Oregon will be fine from the standpoint of the coaching staff for today.
  23. My compliments to Mario Cristobal. I am sure that he is proud of the performance of his offensive line. The much-maligned Carson Beck played very well. I thought Mario did mismanage the game at the end of the first half, but luck was with Miami. OSU benefited from two dubious calls on long passes. I was surprised at how fast the game passed. Miami's unspectacular but efficient ground and short passing game allowed them to deny OSU much time of possession. How much did the layoff affect OSU? Without the interception return and missed field goal, this would have been a much different game.
