  2. Run D still a weakness, even before the 2s and 3s gave up the one at the end. Lots to work on before the Penn St game, or else it will be a very bad day in Happy Valley for the Ducks

  4. We invite you to always explore the “News” on the menu bar in the header. When you click on the word “News,” you will see an index of multiple links to sports news sites for your enjoyment! From now on, except for a very few circumstances, our threads will be just one page. Advertising only appears on the first page and we want to make as much money as possible for the site. The bonus in doing this is that it will be easier for everyone to move around the thread. This Thread is for News Articles ONLY. You can always start a new thread with any of these articles for discussion
  5. Good game to win, yet point out our flaws to work on. The development of many of our freshmen, is encouraging and promising for later in the season, and the future.
  6. Wish the back ups played with a little more "want to". Glad I'm not a gambler betting the spread.
  7. I don't think it was an awful decision, a perfect throw probably gets you a touchdown, but it wasn't really needed considering the circumstances. I would be curious to hear from Dante to see if he LB dropping back that far into coverage. I suspect he saw all the defenders but he just thought he could drop into Dak's hands.
  8. Don't pass into a sea of purple.
  9. I’m glad he didn’t commit to Oregon a couple years ago!
  10. Today
  11. No, I did not realize that but I do remember hearing somewhere that Brock Osweiler is 6’8”… https://thesundevils.com/sports/football/roster/player/brock-osweiler
  12. Been a weird game on defense, we've caused a few turnovers, we've had some sacks, but we also have been pushed around, and have gotten lucky by Northwestern messing up all on their own on more than a couple occasions. Lot's for the coaches to review, I also hope the players realize that they need to play better in order to beat the top teams. There's nothing that is super concerning, but it's a nice wake up call that we will need to play better in order to truly dominate. It really has been a great game in terms of results since it gives us just enough to go back and clean up without diminishing our standing in the eyes of the nation.
  13. Soooooo, S What have I ranked about for what seems like Centuries? Take away the QBs options by covering your man instead of looking at the QB. WHAT'S THE RESULT? INTERCEPTION. Even in NW's big pass play, the safety was covering his man ( he bit on a good fake. I'll take that every play for the rest of time- that's what I want to see). That strategy alone will make this defense a 14 points per game juggernaut.
  14. I just realized I haven't seen A'Mari? (Edit) There he is next drive.
  15. I wonder if the Ducks were affected by the horrendous crowd noise in the first half.
  16. And that's what happens when you FOLLOW you blocking!!!! Go Ducks!
  17. A defensive tactic I've never seen before: Let's have most of our defenders looking over at the sidelines when the ball is snapped! Hard to play lock down when you don't know what you're are supposed to be doing when the play starts.
  18. Hmmm... In my pre-game Duck exuberance, I may have gotten a tad bit carried away with my 58-13 prediction. But who knows as it now is about 11 AM PST to the Duck body clock. They're definitely awake now and I'm looking for a 41 point 2nd half.
  19. While our defense has not been perfect, and given up more ground yards than we are comfortable with, the bottom line is that they have given up zero points at halftime, which is certainly the goal for the first half! Ol’ TerryM9 might be pretty darn close on his score before it’s over!
  20. I actually think he destroyed his career this Winter. Looking like another fifth round draft pick. Won't go so far to say deserved, but this guy doesn't have the leadership skills to carry a team. Pride cometh before the fall (I believe almost all of us have been there before-but not so publicly with a few million in the bank).
  21. Sediq He's much more Brock Bowers than he is Gronk. It's an extremely lazy comparison, and most likely because Gronk is a commentator on FOX now.
  22. While Dante has missed a few passes, he has thrown a couple of extraordinarily accurate passes. This gives him fantastic confidence going forward, and this is as good as I had hoped to see from him early in the season.
  23. Can the idiotic announcers stop comparing him to Gronk who was a completely different player? They're annoying the heck outa me! Kenyon is amazing & so fun to watch block, hurdle, & catch!
  24. Looks like Stein was told to put a blanket on the offense. Circa usu2 2024. He opened it up on that last drive just enough to show OBD can score anytime they want. Nothing to be alarmed about. This is a slow roll strategy against a team incapable of doing any harm. I like it. Sweet lullabies to put the audience to sleep. Keeping scouts wondering how lethal the playbook really is.
  25. Well not a whole lotta "fire" going on, but efficient and controlled so far. Hope to see a little more bang in the second half. Go Ducks!
  26. Sadiq the freak!!
