Great interviews! The difference this team when they play well is obvious; the level of the pitching. It is great to see Collin Clarke get his confidence back, as he pitched great and allowed even fewer runs than Grayson Grinsell did the day before! Equally crucial is Ryan Featherston coming in for two innings and keeping the runs to none during his stint. Both these guys are SO important, and like Seth Mattox yesterday....they are all getting the MoJo back, and just in time for a late-season run!

NFL Draft Round 2 Tonight. Will Any Ducks Get Picked?
Solar replied to GatOrlando's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The Browns actually put themselves in a pretty good spot at QB. They can have a legitimate QB competition with DG as the floor and Shaduer as the ceiling. I will say I'm not super high on DG in the NFL. If big play V.A. wasn't good enough for the NFL even as an UDFA then DG has no business being drafted in the 3rd round. Browns might be think Bo Nix 2.0 due to his experience that should make him day 1 ready, but DG is not Bo Nix. I think Will Howard and Shadeur will be the QB steals of the draft. - Today

Hope they keep it going a 3 game sweep of the number 3 team in the nation would certainly help this team move up the ranking. Go Ducks!

These last two games have been heaven for me, and while the official series is three games....Oregon plays Oregon State on Tuesday in Corvallis. Winning three out of four could go a long way towards helping Oregon get to host a Regional Playoff, if all goes well the rest of the way on the schedule. Go Ducks! This pass catcher stood out above everyone else in Oregon's spring game Oregon has recruited and developed an embarassment of riches between the wide receiver and tight end positions. In the spring game on April 26, many flashed their abilities to help out whichever quarterback takes the reins of Will Stein's offense. Although true freshman and highest rated Oregon receiver ever, Dakorien Moore flashed some brilliant ability, and redshirt freshman Dillon Gresham, who seemed buried down the depth chart exploded for three catches and over ninety yards, someone still shined the brightest. The heir apparent to Terrance Ferguson, tight end Kenyon Sadiq, was the most impressive pass catcher for the Ducks during the spring game. He had seven catches for 102 yards. Everything Coach Lanning said after Spring game. What Dan Lanning Said After Oregon Ducks Spring Game WWW.SI.COM The Oregon Ducks competed in their annual spring game on Saturday, April 26, in Autzen Stadium, and Ducks coach Dan Lanning spoke to the media after the scrimma Good to see the coaches adapt to the team they have now, and not try to make the fit a system that worked for different personnel! "One, it's completely different group. So I think there's a lot of new experience there. So I think you're going to start with saying, okay, 'What can we operate and what can we execute?' It's not gonna be the same as last season. And even the season before that, our our number one call on defense, was different than it was this past year, so we'll adapt that to fit our personnel. Biggest thing I want to see is guys out there communicating." -

OBD are definitely top five material. Lots to clean up, but the talent is there to make some noise. We’re looking at a team in the talent range of the 23’ unit and last year’s team. The schedule is set up perfectly, as it will allow for personnel development. The key games come at junctures that should coincide with said development. I like what I saw. Too much to go into, but I absolutely believe the future is bright for OBD. -

Fun exercise with help for worthy causes. I'm happy Dan went with a traditional spring game format. Dan and Will Stein kept their cards close to the vest. We saw mix-and-match squads on the field. Again, it was fun to watch, but I have no idea how the first-string O-line is meshing together, and that's just fine. We'll see the starters on both sides of the ball on 8/30. The day was even better thanks to the Men and the Women Diamond Ducks. -

I humbly disagree that Moore was only average. His O-line was more porous than the one Novosad had and he was pressured more as a result. When he had the time he was accurate and found Sadiq repeatedly. I'm thrilled that OBD will have two starting caliber QBs with a greatly improved (and Marcus like) Moga in the three spot. Hopefully they will all stay put at Oregon. -
Ducks DOMINATE the B1G? An Update...

Ducks Clinch Series Against No. 3 Oregon State EUGENE, Ore. — Collin Clarke turned in a dominant performance on the mound on Saturday while No 13 Oregon slugged four home runs in a series-clinching 13-1 win over No. 3 Oregon State on Saturday at PK Park in front of 4,278 fans. Clarke allowed just one run on four hits over 6.0 innings of work while striking out four and walking just two. He did not allow the run until Oregon had a nine-run lead heading into the top of the sixth inning. The Ducks got two run home runs from the first three batters in their lineup – Mason Neville, Dominic Hellman, Jacob Walsh -- over the first five innings, before six-hole hitter Maddox Molony added a two-run shot in the bottom of the sixth. How It Happened: The Ducks did not waste any time making an early statement in the game. After Neville walked to lead off the bottom of the first, Hellman slugged a two-run home run over the center-field wall. Hellman hits a two-run homer! Oregon added to the lead with two more runs in the second. Oregon State (32-9) starter Dax Whitney loaded the bases with a hit-by-pitch and two walks before Drew Smith delivered a two-out, two-run single to center field for a 4-0 lead. Oregon (29-12) added another crooked number to the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth. Hellman started the rally with a one-out single before scoring on a Walsh two-run home run to right field. Smith followed with a triple on a hard-hit ball up the middle that ricocheted off the second baseman changing the balls direction so the centerfielder could not get to it. Molony picked up Smith with an RBI single through the left side for a 7-0 lead. Neville made it 9-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning. After Ryan Cooney singled to lead off the inning, Neville lined his 21st homer of the season over the right-center field wall on a 0-2 count. The Ducks made it three consecutive innings with multiple runs in the sixth. Anson Aroz reached to start a four-run rally on a hit-by-pitch before scoring on the Molony home run over the left-center field wall. Burke-Lee Mabeus and Cooney had back-to-back singles before moving up to second and third on a passed ball. Carter Garate plated both with a double over the first-base bag. Box Score Notes: The announced attendance (4,278) was the largest regular-season crowd in PK Park history … The four home runs hit by the Ducks marked the eighth time this season Oregon has belted four-or-more homers … Clarke’s quality start was his fourth of the season … The 12-run margin of victory was the Ducks’ largest in series history with Oregon State since UO won 14-0 on April 15, 1972, and is the second-largest margin for the Ducks all-time. On Deck: Game three of the series is Sunday with a 12:05 p.m. first pitch. Quotes: Head Coach Mark Wasikowski On Collin Clarke’s performance… “Tremendous job. I thought the entire pitching staff, once again, the last two days, have been excellent. Each and every one of those guys that have gone out there.” On consistency shown at the plate… “We hit the long ball today, you know. We got some guys on and were able to capitalize on some mistakes that were up in the zone, which is good. And sometimes you miss them, today we got them, so we were fortunate.” On how this win changes the team’s mindset.. “We’ll find out, you know. We’ll find out when we come in tomorrow. I would think they’re a really hungry group, that’s what we just left our huddle with. Hopefully they’re going to be really hungry tomorrow and want to play really well.” Collin Clarke On adjustments going into the game... “I was just in the zone more today. I felt like I was able to control the ball a little bit better than the last few outings and when you do that, good things will happen.” On getting ahead in the count early... “It’s huge, especially when getting quick innings helps get the hitting back on track. In general, I think it’s pretty important not to walk guys.” Maddox Molony On having a breakout game after cold streak... “Yeah. The game of baseball is hard and it’s going to challenge you, so it’s nice to have some success like that.” On the success and consistency throughout the lineup... “It means a lot. We just fed off of each other. The guy before gets a hit, walk, or hit by pitch it doesn’t matter because the next guy was going to do something special.” On the excitement of turning a double play... “It’s one of the most exciting plays you can make other than a web gem or a diving play. Turning a double play and making it look routine is amazing.” Mason Neville On the pride the top of the lineup has... “A ton. I feel like our 1,2,3 is pretty special. I mean our entire in general is pretty special. I think we have the chance to really do some big things this year. To go out and have your 1,2,3 hitters all hit two-run homer runs is pretty tough to do, but it puts pressure on the other team, and on their pitcher. They don’t want to throw to us it seems like. It’s definitely a lot of fun to be a part of.” On carrying the momentum into tomorrow's game... “It’s nice to win the series in the first two games, but we’re after the sweep. So taking the win, brushing it off and maintaining the mindset we’ve had the past two games of just dominating every pitch and continuing to do that. That’s the best way to go about it and we plan on doing that tomorrow.”

Absolutely and I have complete faith that this year's team is going to have a solid starter at QB and a equally as solid backup. I look forward to learning who wins the competition. Though I can see why Moore and Novosad are the front runners. Moga looked good as well. I think the Ducks have a very good three deep. -

Today's 13-1 game was the most lopsided in the series since Oregon renewed baseball in 2019. The Ducks previous best win was 7 runs in 2021 in Corvallis. The Beavs have four 10-run wins since 2019.
