  3. Our Oregon football program entered 2025 in a season we expected to be a rebuilding year. That turned quickly into a reload, and lofty expectations were set after an all-time poised performance by Dante Moore on the road in Happy Valley. Unfortunately, Penn State decidedly did not hold up their end of the bargain the rest of the season, and have massively diminished a ... Could Oregon Miss the College Football Playoff?

  9. Oregon vs. Alabama in the Playoffs?
  10. One of the most infamous "never happened before" matchups will indeed happen in 2027, when Auburn takes on Notre Dame: https://fbschedules.com/auburn-notre-dame-schedule-football-series-for-2027-2028/ So this got me thinking, is there any other games of this nature that could get off the list soon? I'm guessing yeah, as 2027 will also give us Oregon vs. Baylor and Miami vs. Utah, two very decent first time matchups that despite not being that notable, are still first time ones, beyond that, we'll be getting Alabama vs. Arizona in 2032. But Notre Dame vs. Auburn is one of the most infamous "never happened before" matchups alongside Michigan vs. LSU and Oregon vs. Alabama, I'm certain those two will happen very, very soon. Thoughts?

  12. OK, I've read all the comments and completely agree with all of them. But I noticed that Oregon had a 14 point lead when Kwame Evans Jr. went down. Of course, the Rainbow Warriors went on a 14 point run. That just goes to show how valuable he is to this team. If he is lost for any length of time, this will be a crushing blow. Looking at this years roster, Oregon has only THREE starting returning players from last year, Shelstad, Evans Jr. and Bittle. Jamari Phillips only played in 14 games last year with a total of 75 minutes. That's just over five minutes a game. Oleksandr Kobzystyi, coming back from an injury played in two games for a total of 8 minutes. Dezdrick Lindsay, also injured, did not play. Add all of the newcomers to this year's squad and I can easily see why there were so many turnovers and missed shots. Take away Shelstad and Evans from this game, and it's no wonder everything was falling apart. Moving on, Oregon has a game against the Rice Owls of the AAC. Their pre-season predictions have them slotted at #12 out of 13 teams in the conference. The game is on the B1G + network, which unfortunately I don't have. I'll be a scoreboard watcher.
  13. Is it just me, or do we seem to have more player issues this year this early on? Mikhi Hughes redshirted early in the season QB surprises for Novasad and Moga, both will probably end up transferring Now these two CBs announcing transfer intents before we play the 9th game I hope it's not an indication of something inside the OBD program. Maybe it's just the way things go in this day and age?

  22. Season opener, going to try to avoid being too harsh until we see Shelstad return. Glad to hear Kwame seems to be ok (it looked like a bit of a knee hyperextention which AI tells me can vary quite a bit in severity but if there isn't a lot of pain, swelling, or bruising it is a good sign, as is being able to walk on it soon after). Generally felt ok about the two new guys at forward, Pryor (6-7) and Stewart (6-9), to go along with Evans (6-10). I see Simpkins averaged 16.4 at Elon last year on 42/37/76 shooting. Clutch drive for the game winner. If he can consistently bring something similar, I'm not without optimism. Not really plays to be praising, but sort of fun to see Demir effortlessly bouncing guys around (there is a guy on Ege? Nope no more). 🙂
