Oregon Baseball vs. Purdue at 11:00 AM PST on B1G+
Oregon loses 2-1...and guess what? We left a runner stranded in scoring position! Not a game of timely hitting...
-
Oregon Baseball vs. Purdue at 11:00 AM PST on B1G+
2-1 Purdue after eight innings. Collin Clarke came out and pitched his eighth inning with over 107 pitches--and kept them scoreless again. Gabe Miranda hit a homer over the RF wall...and of course we had nobody on base when he did it. Several times earlier in the game...never mind.

Miami (Ohio) 31-0 Season
Hey now, my father was an alum of Miami-Brackets-Ohio, as he said it was known, in Oxford, Ohio, located in the Miami Valley, named after the Myaamia People. 10th-oldest public university in the country, 18,000 students.

Oregon Baseball vs. Purdue at 11:00 AM PST on B1G+
2-0 Purdue after seven innings. It is a cold windy day in West Layfayette, and it seems to have impacted our bats? Collin Clarke pitched a short seventh inning.
-
Oregon Baseball vs. Purdue at 11:00 AM PST on B1G+
2-0 Purdue after six innings. Collin Clarke has held up really well; he gave up the two runs, but has seven KOs and gone six innings for Oregon. Oregon has stranded 10...TEN base runners.

Oregon Baseball vs. Purdue at 11:00 AM PST on B1G+
2-0 Purdue after five innings. Collin Clarke has got into some trouble, but pulled out of it with tough pitching. Oregon has stranded eight base runners through five innings, hence the goose-egg on the scoreboard.

Oregon Baseball vs. Purdue at 11:00 AM PST on B1G+
2-0 Purdue after three innings. Oregon stranded two on base again, and Collin Clarke gave up three hits and plinked a batter to allow the scoring.

Oregon Baseball vs. Purdue at 11:00 AM PST on B1G+

Let's plan on having a separate thread for this after the game--others may share their experiences too. Fantastic stuff...

Sir Charles I am 3 and a half years into my intermittent fast journey (16/8 program) Lost over 50 pounds and 8 inches in the wasteline. Stick with your plan and it will work for you. I am 31 minutes from having lunch and ending my weekly 24 hour fast. Those initial gravings will soon go away. This old graybeard is rooting for you and the Ducks!

0-0 after one inning. Collin Clarke plinked a guy, got a fly ball to CF, and two strikeouts already. Elijah Cook is playing center field instead of Jack Brooks this game.

Miami (Ohio) 31-0 Season
I read an article on this team and the relevant number for me was their schedule was ranked next to last of all teams in regards to strength of schedule. They won't be around for long IMHO. Even at 31-0 they are still on the bubble.

Oregon Baseball vs. Purdue at 11:00 AM PST on B1G+
Today we face Boilermaker pitcher Zach Erdman, who has a 4.76 ERA, and the most innings pitched on the team coming into this series. Oregon will counter with Collin Clarke on the hill, who has a 2.70 ERA to date. Purdue has a reliever or two who have exceptionally low ERAs left, and I suspect we will see them today. I am expecting a lower-scoring contest this time... My Duck-Buddies: Somewhere around the 3rd inning I will be making my brunch, as the timing is important and I'm not going to disrupt my eating schedule. I am doing intermittent fasting for health benefits, (search in YouTube for information) and when I break my 17-18 hour fast--I gotta eat! So if there is a delay in reporting in the middle of the game--that is why. Let's Go Ducks! Collin Clarke

OFF TOPICS: For Your Interest (8)
Wanted to share something a buddy of mine made for me on his 3D printer. His wife dubbed it the “Thor-O-Gun.” I’m thinking about having him make a few more in our team colors. If anyone’s got suggestions or ideas, I’m all ears. Plan is to mount them on the wall in the man cave.

Miami (Ohio) 31-0 Season
An "amazing" season. They have won 4 regulation games by 2 points each. And, another 4 games in overtime by a total of 14. Plus, another regulation game by 3 pts. Their last 3 regular season games were 2 pts, 2 pts, and 2 pts in OT. Aside from "luck," the whole psychological aspect of that within a team would make an interesting newspaper column.

Poor prosecutor Hamilton Berger. He went toe-to-toe with Perry in almost every episode and never won a case. Fitting for a hamburger. 🤣

I am not a an attorney, but I have watched every single Perry Mason episode. Once the revenue-sharing and NIL payments emerged, I wondered how would Title IX and non-revenue sports (let's be honest, they are money-losing sports) be managed since the revenue-shares used to cover those expenses in large measure.

R.I.P Lou Holtz at Age 89
Mark May always kind of rubbed me the wrong way, until he was one of the few who predicted Florida would beat Ohio State in the 2006 BCS Title Game. I think that was more due to his hatred of Ohio State, but I don't care. Lou would always drive him crazy whenever he'd pick Notre Dame to beat USC, or any of those other big games that they'd eventually get blown out in. But Lou was loyal to the Irish till the end. I'm glad he got to see the Irish make that run last year. He is still the last coach to win a National Title at Notre Dame.

Miami (Ohio) 31-0 Season
First of all, there's a Miami of Ohio? Secondly, they went 31-0 and I've never heard of a single one of their players. They say Cinderella is dead in college basketball. I'm hoping that's not true. The tournament is better with the mid majors. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but go Miami.......of Ohio!!!! Heck with that other Miami.

R.I.P Lou Holtz at Age 89
All, Very sure Coach Holtz coached at Minnesota for two years after he quit the Jets. Lou had been around and generally had a winning record wherever he coached except the New York Jets (and South Carolina (the 1st time)). Coach Holtz also worked at ESPN for several years (on a specific college football-related program during game day) where he debated Mark May before, during, and after college games. That was a great program to watch; Coach Holtz and Mark May were exceptionally well spoken, and were both astute observers, analysts, and overall, very knowledgeable. They must have had an incredible staff to put together all the vids between the debates. Those debates were like graduate level classes. My hat is off to both Coach Holtz and Mark May. Coach Holtz was a believer. VR, KCDuck1
