  2. 2026 OBD opens against Boise in Autzen. (Rob needs to read the: You never ever never schedule Boise State! memo.) Next week, off to Stillwater. I still can't figure out why? One thing I noticed last night was the Florida heat and humidity wearing down the Broncos. It was hot in Boise during August, but without the strength-sapping humidity.
  3. Oregon 51-10 2 TO's 4 Sacks 280 Passing Yards
  4. Not surprised to see BSU lose, but to get stomped by South Florida, that is a surprise. Looked like a team that was just not prepared to start the season.
  5. It's a really tough place to recruit to in today's world. Oregon at least has natural beauty in addition to the world class facilities and the connection to Nike. Weather sucks, nightlife sucks, completely different culture compared to where most of the 4 and 5 star recruits are from, I think Rhule is at least a decent coach, but ultimately it's more about the Jimmies and the Joes than it is about coaching. I think the best that Nebraska can get to in today's world is an Ole Miss or Indiana type program. Being around the outskirts of the playoff, making it in every 4-5 years. I do not think they are ever getting back to a consistent top-10 type program.
  6. Today
  7. Kind of amazing to see how that program has fallen on hard times, you would have thought with Boone Pickens they would have been pretty well set up for the new world of NIL. Seems like the game might be passing Gundy by.
  8. 2025 Oregon Football Trailer | Birds Aren’t Meant To Fly Alone
  9. Muddies the betting line...not the outcome.
  10. Ever been to Nebraska? I Hunted on a ranch near the Dismal River lodge in the Sand Hills years ago. Former NFL players Joe Jurevicius, and John Howell have land available, and run Dismal River outfitters. Mullen, Nebraska is the closest town, population 465. Unique topography, but the phrase, let’s all go vacation in Nebraska isn’t something I hear very often.
  11. What a great commercial!
  12. It can snow during the football season...
  13. Attending Nebraska during winter term.... What's Not to Like?
  14. Oklahoma State quarterback Hauss Hejny (QB1) broke his foot on the third drive of the season, off five weeks as the Cowboys prepare to come to Oregon on September 6. Autzen ZooBad news out of Stillwater muddies outlook for Oregon Game 2Early games are about execution and improvement rather than the final score. Oregon Will Face New QB vs. Oklahoma StateThe Oregon Ducks will host the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Autzen Stadium in week 2 of the college football season, but will face a different quarterback than originally anticipated following some unfortunate injury news. Oregon Ducks On SIWhat Oklahoma State Quarterback Injury Means For Oregon D...The Oklahoma State Cowboys are being hit with some major injury news ahead of their big non-conference matchup with the Oregon Ducks in Eugene on Sept. 6. Acco
  15. Oregon 48-13 TOs = 2 Sacks = 7 Pass Yds = 221
  16. BSU is an interesting one and the new PAC might want to hold their breath a little as they are supposed to be the new shining star. Since COVID, BSU had lost at least 4 games each season up until last year. Not exactly a scintillating trend given who they’ve been playing. From what I saw, they look to be reverting to that norm. Will make for a pretty bad first year of the new PAC next year if they have a collection of 6-6 (or worse) teams, against supposedly worse competition in 2025, joining together to launch things 2026.
  17. Great responses! I’d say the ship has sailed, especially with the expanded B1G. Are they hoping to crack the top-6 in the conference now? Oklahoma may be just behind them on the path of fallen powers.
  18. Exiting the Big12, bad HC hires and bad recruiting post-Solich did them in. If you hold onto a bad coach and bad recruiter for too long the results can bury a program for a long time. That’s why getting rid of Helfrich after his only losing season was so important. The key is following up a firing with a good hire. Luckily, WT and Mario were great recruiters and they got good talent to come to Eugene. Nebraska just kept making bad hire after bad hire. Riley and Frost were not known for getting great talent to come play for them, so it’s no surprise that they didn’t work out.
  19. 97 Nebraska would have steamrolled 97 Michigan. They were the real champions. Michigan had the Heismann and media darlings. If they did a plus-one game the next week, Nebraska would have dominated. Michigan's 97 "co-title" is no more legit than Washington's in '91 (who cheated). The BCMess started in 98.
  20. Oregon 52-10 3 take aways 5 sacks 347 passing yards
  21. I see OBD as a Dark Duck contender. 😁 Yardbarker3 Reasons Why Oregon Ducks are Dark Horse National Title...The No. 7 Oregon Ducks team have a lot of expectations coming into the season, but the Ducks have also been excluded from preseason conversations surrounding the national title race.
  22. Ducks 48-10 2 turnovers created 5 sacks 285 passing yards
  23. 34-17 Ducks 1 turnover created 4 sacks 235 passing yards
  24. Our final roundtable for the week means we are only ONE DAY from Oregon football returning. It feels like it’s been forever since that crushing loss in Pasadena, but tomorrow we get to wipe that one away. In this final roundtable we offer up our keys to the game. Of course Oregon faces Montana State so the predictions are a bit unique. They will get better as the season goes on. Roundtable: Keys to the Game
  25. 45-17 2 6 270 Spotting MSU 17 points because even though they're an FCS team, they're one of the top two from last season so you have to give them a little credit. Oregon offense will be wobbly but still put up 45 points as new guys are still settling in. Defense will be tough up front and get their sacks...secondary will be ok but not lights out due to the all the new guys also settling in there.
