Oregon Ducks National Signing Day Headquarters
The 3 star WR from Idaho appears to be in. What is going on with the east coast guys? They have no excuse, unless of course there is some ceremony at their high schools. The TE from NC not being in is concerning. Yes, I know......the sky is falling.

Let's hold our breath for that edge from Alabama. Tosh was his recruiter. Seems at this point that other programs may be using the coaching changes to get these commits to at least wait for the later signing day?

Will The Coaching Carousel Kill Oregon’s CFP Chances?
I could see this more from "Stein" recruits than Tosh's. Hopefully Dan and the remaining staff, culture, fit, facilities and the defending the Natty will sway them to stay committed.

Oregon No. 5 in CFP Playoff Rankings
It will really depend on who the #11 and #12 seeds are. I’d rather play JMU, North Texas or Tulane in the first round. Texas Tech would not be a terrible second round game. We’d probably have to play Ohio State at some point, whether in the semifinals or national championship game, if we made it that far.

Why are our commits rolling out so slow?

Tosh to Cal
They better hit a home run. Perhaps they have a verbal agreement with Kalen DeBoer or another coach expecting their team to be in the playoffs?

Are there any Oregon commits that we don’t expect to sign today?

Bo and Dillon were also 5-6 year vets by the time they got into Stein's system. They had played a lot of football.

Will The Coaching Carousel Kill Oregon’s CFP Chances?
Alex, i guess we will have an answer later this month. DL is the anchor for the program and the players know this. He replaced Dilly with Stein. He will find a great replacement for Stein. I expect a great replacement for Tosh, also! I am not certain that this won't be a distraction, however, on Sunday, once the brackets are set I am confident that all focus will be on OBD's first round opponent. Business as usual? Win the next game! My concern is recruiting! How will the recruits react if Will and Tosh were one of the reasons they were coming to Oregon? Going to be a crazy 45 days for the players, future players, coaches, future coaches and their families. And us fans!

Will The Coaching Carousel Kill Oregon’s CFP Chances?
Thanks Alex, your article today has to be on the minds of every Duck fan. For me, knowing how much time both Will Stein and Tosh Lupoi have spent with Dan Lanning, I'm not as worried as I was when Slick Willy and Mari-no-O bailed on the Ducks. The culture that Coach Lanning has built is an important factor in my thinking. Both of these gentlemen have contributed to the making of the culture. Both have spent hours and hours with Dan coaching, recruiting, and being together. I believe that shared mission has cemented their minds to finish what they have created. I believe in Dan Lanning. The extra work he did for Oregon did not prevent him from coaching Georgia to a National Championship as their Defensive Coordinator. I have faith that Will and Tosh are made of the same mindset. Go Ducks!

Will The Coaching Carousel Kill Oregon’s CFP Chances?
Today marks the first of the early signing day period, but nothing hangs heavier on Oregon football’s future than the potential loss of both coordinators to head coaching jobs. Now, if there’s anything the Ducks have learned to deal with this season, it’s adversity. Our Oregon football program has been dealing with injuries all season, and forced to step up ... Tosh to Cal
Penn State may very well be the big early signing day story tomorrow. I think they are down to 5 commits and all 5 I guess are either on flip watch or at least not expected to sign early. There seems to be the possibility they have 0 early signings tomorrow.

Tosh to Cal
They have a good wrestling program as well. This search is starting to resemble the 2017 Tennessee debacle, without the whole protest that got a job taken away. Oddly enough that protest of Schiano was connected to his time at Penn State. Tennessee ended up hiring the worst head coach in their history, Jeremy Pruitt.

Tosh to Cal
Satake is staying at BYU. Candidates out there who have won conference titles or coached PO teams and have not retired? Dan Mullen, Brian Kelly, and Boise State's Spencer Danielson. He may have been Little Game James when it came to defeating ranked opponents, but Franklin won many football games. I think PSU AD Pat Kraft is on this ice, even though Penn State has a very good ice hockey team. 😁

Offensive Coordinator Candidates
That would beat Andy Ludwig or Mario Cristobal.

Penn State is the last P4 job open.

Tosh to Cal
Hats off to Tosh, By Gosh! Will went close to his alma mater home; Tosh is back at his alma mater in Berkeley. Danno worked for Saint Nick. No coach went through more assistant-to-head-coach hires than Nick Saban. I believe in Danno and his hiring prowess.

Oregon No. 5 in CFP Playoff Rankings
Thank you, EBDD, for posting the latest tease from the Gurus of Grapevine. The loser of the B1G champ game will be 3rd, if not the 2nd, PO seed. If the Commish Brett Yormark's 2 B12 PO teams fix is in, the Cougars defeat Texas Tech, and so long No. 10 Notre Dame. I do not see BYU winning the B12 champ game. Texas Tech has a significant Big 12 roster advantage.🤑 That No. 10 Notre Dame dropped below No. 9 Bama is telling. The Irish and not Bama, Bama is in the field unless the Tide is eviscerated by Georgia in the SEC champ game. BTW - DeBoer just figures out ways to win football games. 🤬 Alabama 280 total yards of O. Auburn 411 yards. No. 5 OBD 😁is positioned to host (and hopefully hoist) JMU, North Texas, or Tulane. All three of these teams have their head coaches leaving for new jobs. JMU Chesney to UCLA, North Texas Morris to OK State, and Tulane's Jon Sumrall to Florida. Opening against one of these teams will not be a walkover over but it would be a huge upset for OBD to lose to one of these three in Autzen. And playing against No.4 TT in the 2nd round? Bring it on! Red Raiders, Cage the Cougars! Again! BTW, BYU coach Sitake says that he is staying with BYU. Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire just signed a new seven-year deal. PSU? Up to me, and thank goodness, PSU fans, that it isn't, I'm taking a hard look at keeping interim coach Terry Smith or going after Brian Kelly (will Kiff have a better record at LSU?), or Dan Mullen. Mullen has UNLV playing back-to-back MW title games on the Blue (lunch) turf vs. Boise. Man, it's so nice to sit back and relax. 😍

Oregon No. 5 in CFP Playoff Rankings
Lots of scenarios can happen this weekend that could potentially move OBD's into the Top 4. Bama could beat Georgia, then Georgia falls out of Top 4. BYU beats TT and TT falls out of Top 4 OBD's could move up and get a dreaded bye. I feel like Georgia and TT will win those games. If so, thrm Bama falls out of CFP. That sounds so nice If BYU wins they are in and ND could fall out. Even better! Can't until this all plays out Saturday night.

Oregon No. 5 in CFP Playoff Rankings
Slightly bigger image to go off of 😀 If Oregon ends up at #5, that's not a terrible position to be in. Face off at home against #12 (whoever that is) then fight with Texas Tech (assuming they beat BYU) who lost to ASU earlier this season. Ohio St would have an interesting match up with the winner of Alabama/Oklahoma. I kind of want Oregon to stay at #6, not only to avoid Ohio St until the last possible game but also possibly getting DL a rematch with Smart and Georgia. I think everyone agrees their first head to head wasn't really fair to start out with.
