This year's first bye feels better than last year's. Last year the bye was earlier though came at the right time to help sort out the offensive line. This year everyone feels healthy and it's a rest up and keep working week. Feeling good about next Saturday at the moment.

Darren, thanks again for the terrific article. BTW, Miami and Mari-oh-oh are 0-4 in the last four road games vs. ranked opponents. This week, Miami has to travel farther than 30 miles from campus. Week 5 served up CFB caviar, filet mignon, and Dom Perignon. Between Hughes and Lamar, I think Hughes has the higher upside even if Lamar has more experience in the offense. A backfield rotation of Hill, Davison, Lamar and Hughes might be enough to keep him in Eugene for 2026 if Dink and Harris elect to move on. There has been some speculation that Offert and Hughes are a brother package and that keeping Offert is a staff priority, even if he uses a redshirt this year. I am hopeful that Hughes stays put and gives himself a big leg up for next season.
