  2. Safety first! Da Bears Pick of Dillon was Thrillin.' However, Sadiq to the Jets makes me glad about his selection, but sad over his pick by a team that should be known as the New Jersey DC-3s. 3. Sports Illustrated breaks down the 1st round. The Big 10 had ten players picked, the SEC seven, eight fewer than selected in the 2025 first round. The ACC, with 8 picks, if you add on Notre Dame's two picks, and the B12 with six players chosen, showed up. As the article notes, the B1G and the SEC did not dominate the 1st round as they have in recent drafts. Day 2 - 7 PM/ 4 PM - ABC, ESPN Experts, right? UCF is a member of the B12, not the American Conference. 🤬 Make no miss-state, on the way out the door to the Leif Ericson, Christopher Columbus, Ferdinand II, and Isabella, New World Pac-8 + Gonzo 🤪, Mountain West, San Diego State was the only G6 conference to have a player chosen in the first round. The New World wannabes are amending their lawsuit against the Westies, arguing that the 1st round prize is theirs to claim. 😁 CFB-HQ On SICollege Football Teams, Conferences with Most First Round...Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft is set and done, with the first 32 selections taken off the Big Board and giving some of college football’s elite programs an oppo

  10. Lists at 5-11 and 180, about the same size as Jadon Canady (5-11 and 185)? Some similarities between Stanford's recruiting profile and Canady's draft profile. Nickel CB? Stanford: • Plays physical with wiry strength above listed size • Displays sudden acceleration in a variety of situations, pairing that with high-level awareness and anticipatory skill • Also shows quick-twitch redirection, whether running routes or breaking on throws • Boasts strong track numbers in the 60, 100, and 200 meter sprints: 10.71/22.06 Canady: • Twitch for short-area corrections to smother routes, sticky man coverage corner • Speed to deter throws over the top, speed in his backpedal and half-turn... quick to trigger and close on routes breaking in front, closing burst • Falls below most traditional size thresholds... Canady makes up for those shortcomings with his twitch, which allows him to stay sticky • All-State performer in track and field. He finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles at the 3A state track meet in the 300-meter hurdles in 2019

  12. Thieneman to duh Bears... #25
  13. #5 rated safety in the country according to Rivals, solid pick up! My only concern is that he's a bit on the smaller side compared to the other DBs OBD has recruited the last couple years.
  14. Gotta hand it to Bucknut, 4 picks in the first 11 taken. Makes Indiana's 2026 championship all the more impressive. And a grudging nod to Mariø for what Miami did to them in the quarters. Sadiq just came off the board at #16. Unfortunately it was to the Jets.
  15. Pre-Draft laughs. Caleb Downs was an All-SEC as a freshman playing safety for Nick Saban at Alabama. He transferred to Ohio State for the balance of his college career. Sitting next to Nick during the pre-game draft show on ESPN was Ohio State coach Ryan Day. Herbie asked Day how prepared Downs was when he transferred to Ohio State. Day: He had talent, but he was a mess; it was like he'd never been coached up. We had to start all over. Then, with a B1G smile on his face, Day leaned over and gave Nick a faux shoulder punch. I Love This Game! 🤪

  19. The Oregon Ducks land a commitment from Broken Arrow (Oklahoma) four-star safety Semaj Stanford, who ranks as 247Sports' No. 3 safety.Stanford told DuckTerritory.com of his recruitment with Oregon, "I expected to be welcomed like home. 20. Big win! Need as many ranked wins as possible. Need to get a sweep now against the Nittany Lions in order to bank wins and keep the momentum going.
  21. Maybe, sometimes you can get by with that sort of talent, it takes a lot of buy in from the players, you need to get a bit lucky with development, and finding diamonds in the rough. I'm not sure if this is a Dana problem, a staff problem, or a NIL problem. Whatever it is, I think there's a good chance we have a new coach in charge by the start of the 27/28 season. I love Altman, but this is not looking good right now.
  22. We are assembling a "second-tier" roster that shouts winning...what, 45% of their games?

  24. Top 100 transfer Portal Player Rankings Kind of says it all. One player (99th) in the entire top 100 for a team that needs as much talent as possible. That isn't going to get it done. I expect a similar if not worse season considering we're losing 3 legit starters.
  25. Five offensive players I'm most excited to watch in Oregon's spring game https://247sports.com/college/oregon/longformarticle/five-offensive-players-im-most-excited-to-watch-in-oregons-spring-game-282915774/
  26. Gotta be impressed with how Florer prepared his young stable’s inning by inning control of the Beavis bats. Mike Parker’s lack of enthusiasm when reacting to Lauaki’s 7th inning 2 score double was music to my ears!
  27. This is so smart....the same logic needs to be applied to any future Autzen/Moshofsky work. That is to say, striving to maximize the revenue per attendee at every event. This is the wisest growth model in my opinion, as opposed to just higher capacity. The move to the B1G conference especially makes this strategy the most efficient driver of future cash flows.
