Pretty silly. Dante has played a very small percentage of forth quarter minutes due to huge leads.

There we go! Moving in the right direction. Shelstad, Simpkins, Bittle, and Evans all looked very good in this win. I think we need one more to step up and join those 4 as the permanent starters going forward. I like Lindsay starting with that group, even though he struggled a little bit. He can slash and get to the rim and shot 42% from three his last year in JC and can stretch the floor. He is dangerous from everywhere. Plus he has the size and strength to help on the defensive side of the ball. Stewart and Pryor should be first off the bench and contribute significant minutes and that is exactly how it played out last night. From there, the bench is going to start shortening I suspect.

Not to mention the fewest defensive yards allowed per play in all of college football. Fragile teams roll over when faced with adversity. Oregon is 9-1 and has showed that they can win in any conditions or type of game. Bring it!

Oregon fragile? Now that is something. This is the issue when someone just looks at statistics and doesn’t watch games. Running for over 7 yards per carry in the pouring rain and beating one of the most physical defenses in the country in the final two minutes just screams “fragile”.

Another solid episode. Dante Moore’s name may be next to the 90% completion percentage in Oregon’s record book but watching the video shows some of the incredible catches (diving, in traffic, adjusting to the ball in the air, dragging a toe to stay in bounds) by our receivers/tight ends that made it possible, along with the incredible pass protection. Well done all around. It was fun to watch.

My advice to their top college football analysts would be to leave the network before their professional reputations are permanently damaged. Someone asked why ESPN is no longer pushing one of their favorite metrics (FPI). Perhaps it’s because the top 3 teams in college football are B1G teams by their own metric?! It was a little different. Byron intentionally dropped the ball before he crossed the goal-line. Whereas, it appeared that Whittington lowered the ball a little and then inadvertently bumped it with his leg. I’d like to see our players emulate LMJ and just hand the ball to the official after they cross the goal line but I’m old school.

I believe Jordon Davison and Dierre Hill Jr. are the biggest surprise personnel wise on the Ducks. Exactly. If for some reason we decided to leave the B1G, they seem to think that there would be some requirement to re-join the PAC, and they’d hold the keys to the kingdom. Uh no, that’s not actually a rule. We’d just start a new entity. And anyone that claims they know the ACC is imploding is just making things up imo. There’s way more brand depth in that conference than the B12 has…it might get watered down by 4 teams, but those other teams need to play somewhere, and that somewhere is not the new PAC.

Evans played well, we need that sort of effort on a more consistent basis. Shelstad is getting there, Bittle was a force as usual. Don't think we're ready for Auburn and SDSU, but we weren't very impressive last year before the Vegas Tourney, so we'll see. Free throw shooting has to get better, they do a decent job getting to the line but they leave a lot of points there.

Other thought... if the west coast schools were to "come back" they wouldn't come back to the Pac-12. Pacific Coast Conference anyone? That would be Oregon, Washington, USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford ... and maybe we snag Utah and the Arizona schools to put most of the band back together but leave OSU and WSU out to dry. Not going to happen... but it is by far the more likely scenario for the two.

Four Ducks in double figures, better effort on rebounding and improved shooting percentage, fewer turnovers. This team showed improvement in most areas except free throw shooting. They've got some work to do there!!

I'm not as impressed with Franklin as you are. He had all the resources he could possibly want at Penn St. plus a constantly sold out 110,000 seat stadium and couldn't get over the hump to win the big games that would have made them a national championship contender. He's going to have okay resources at Tech and a rabid if smaller fan base, but it's not Penn St. Tech needs to win with innovation, as I hinted above like Oregon does, not with the conservative philosophy of Franklin. He may recruit okay there, but he will not dominate the ACC at Tech. I doubt at this point he will even dominate UVA (like they did not too many years ago). He beat who he was supposed to beat at Penn St. often with vastly superior talent. He won't have that advantage at Va Tech. I see Franklin as very similar to Cristobal.
