  1. Past hour
  2. Saw Scott play in high school several times. This is a great addition for the Ducks!
  3. Indiana fire the win! 38-21 4 turnovers (Carson has a nightmarish day) 4 sacks (see above) 324 passing yards
  4. I have zero stats to back this up, but it just seems to me the Ducks have always done well with Polynesian players. These guys usually seem to over perform going from high school to college ball, you know like that 3 star guy who ends up being a Heisman winning QB.
  5. I have absolute faith in Mario: If the game is close, Mario will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. However, I think the writing is on the wall, and Indiana comes out on top. The Duck’s misfortune started with turnovers, and with Beck at the helm, I believe they will be served up on a platter to Indiana. Miami is a good team; Cignetti has the Hoosiers playing like a great team. Indiana breaks it open in the second half: 38-21 Indiana
  6. IU wins 56-20, Ducks are at least two point better than Miami. 4 turnovers 5 sacks 310 passing yards
  7. I am rooting for Indiana, partly because I don't want Mario Cristobal to win a NC before us. Tough choice though. I also know some IU fans from my time living in Ohio (not anymore, in Maryland now). Good folks and long, long suffering fans. Give them their day in the sun. I don't see Cignetti staying at IU very long, they will most likely drift back into obscurity.
  8. It is great fun to be able to use an image I created and saved years ago....at the right moment again. Never mind what demented implication comes from that!
  9. National ranking, by total yards defense allowed per game - with points per game allowed added as a reference point 2025 (4) Indiana - 267 - 11.1 (11) Miami - 292 - 14.0 2024 (2) Indiana - 256 - 15.6 (27) Miami - 327 - 25.3 2023 (30) James Madison - 334 - 20.2 (24) Miami - 326 - 22.8 2022 (5) James Madison - 290 - 20.9 (65) Miami - 375 - 26.8 Coach Cig's D-coordinator in those 4 years has been Bryant Haines. He was just signed to a 3-year contract at about $3 million per season. He has been with Cig since 2014 season but chose 2022 since that is when Cristobal landed in Miami. With all the chatter around QB Mendoza, the Indiana D doesn't get enough credit.

  11. Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! It just hit me...why not have a contest for the 'Natty since we all want the Hoosiers to win? (Well, most of us...) What is your prediction of Indiana versus Miami? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Let's get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. We Have Two New Rules: If two winning scores are tied, and tiebreakers tie? The first one who posted wins, automatically. Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner. --the score. --the amount of turnovers Indiana creates. --the number of sacks Indiana records on Miami. --the number of passing yards by the Hoosiers. My prediction is: Indiana 34-20 2 3 281
  12. Part of sports irony that Stidham was the QB at Auburn immediately before Nix.
  13. The Big Ten has always been a very strong league in basketball. It should not be a surprise that when you add in travel USC, UW, and UO are currently in the bottom half of the conference. Some B1G programs emphasized basketball in the past because it was difficult to compete for top positions in football. They had basketball success and drew large attendance and the fans considered it an acceptable tradeoff. Many still have that reservoir of support even if they aren't active in basketball NIL. Now that NIL has arrived, I really don't see a process to succeed in the B1G for West Coast teams unless they seek talent that can overcome the history of the B1G and travel issues. Oregon had success in the Pac12 due to Altman and the nature of the league. Unfortunately, fans haven't really rewarded him with attendance. I sometimes wonder if he checks the attendance numbers at Creighton and wonders if he made the right decision.
  14. Why not both? Michigan is able to invest and have success in both programs. They are spending 8-9M in hoops and are still competitive in getting football talent.
  15. Charles, like the stadium last night, this post was Chilly - 🥶[LOL!] I would like to see two SC guys competing for the NFC title and a berth in the Super Bowl. But, we now get an interesting matchup of B1G's, Sam Darnold vs. the SEC's, venerable Matthew Stafford, battling it out in Seattle. The Sunshine Boys won in freezing weather. No Bo vs. the Pats (SIGH 🤬.) But a guy who played at Auburn, Jarrett Stidham, will try to win his first PO start. I don't think he can play any worse than tOSU and Texan QB JT Stroud, played yesterday in tropical Foxboro, Massachusetts. Great post!
  16. Best of luck to the Hoosiers tonight. When they talk to him at the end of the first half, I am waiting to hear Mario say "we need to be more physical out there, more physicality!" I believe if Ole Miss had not played such a conservative defense, especially in the 4th quarter, they could have beaten Miami, too. Conversely, I believe Cig will have scouted, prepared, planned and additionally, make the necessary game time adjustments; which I expect will include having the defense consistently blitzing and exerting pressure on Beck. If they consistently pressure Beck, I am fairly certain he will crumble; and with all the resulting hurries, incomplete passes and turnovers, combined with a strong Mendoza-led offense, it will be a very lopsided victory for the Hoosiers. A lot of us are rooting for your team, tonight. Go Hoosiers!
  17. I should probably 'fess-up to the Indiana fan that I am not as understanding with a few Big-10 members such as Washington, and USC. I am "nobility-impaired" with those teams!
  18. Reasonable fans on the net? Heresy! That’s what makes this site great, they are out there. I actually have friends that are ND and USC alums and we have rational conversations all the time…it is possible. Welcome, and go Hoosiers!
  19. Believe it or not, it isn't all about the $$$ - Tonight, will Mass beat Axx, er, Butt, or will Indiana's fiction-like run end with the Trophy? This is Clair Bee, Chip Hilton, boy sports hero stuff. Bobby Knight was a fan of Chip Hilton, but he frequently failed to follow Chip's example. Chip never cussed, talked trash, or threw chairs. 😇 Come on, Fernando, move one step closer to the CFB Triple Crown, Heisman, Natty, and 1st pick in the NFL draft, plus a B1G 3-peat. By the way, Fernando committed to Indiana on Christmas Eve. 😁 SIThrough Unwavering Faith, Fernando Mendoza Brings His Dec...Once overlooked, the quarterback kept pushing to Cal and now Indiana en route to the Heisman Trophy and one win from immortality.
  20. Davon Benjamin standing out. One Potential Star in Oregon's Recruiting Class
  21. These are the "before" rankings. Based on production, some juggling should occur. Ranking Oregon Ducks' 2026 transfers among best in Dan Lanning era
