Post-Game: No Fingernails Left, & Out of Heart Medications...
USC receivers timed their leaps with their push offs perfectly allowing them to create space at the perfect time and prevent the defenders from jumping. Why do you think our guys were on the ground half the time? If refs can’t call offensive pass interference, there’s nothing our DB’s or any team’s DB’s could do to stop that.

Potential Return to The Big Ten Championship Game!?
Hey Thomas, did you see the latest projection where if things remain the same, Alabama would travel to Autzen for the first round of the Playoffs? Your wish would be granted…

Post-Game: No Fingernails Left, & Out of Heart Medications...
Cutting those penalties in half probably would have resulted in 2 more scores for OBD.

WEEK 13 (Gulp!) Committee Top 25 Games in a Nutshell
Without its 1st-string QB, No. 25 ASU still beat the Devil out of CU 42 -17. No. 24 Tulane left Philly with a 37-13 win over Temple, and also left nothing in the collection plate. After shucking Nebraska 37-10, 5-6 Penn State is only one Rutgers game away from bowl eligibility!

I like the part where he said "it's not our fault teams become unranked after we beat them...ok maybe it is our fault, but..." All the press burst out laughing.

Dan made sure to credit the SEC for Saturday's incredible wins. 😁😁😁 ESPN.comLanning states Ducks' CFP case, jabs at SEC skedDan Lanning allowed himself to do some CFP politicking after Oregon registered its 10th win of the season -- a 42-27 victory over USC.

WEEK 13 (Gulp!) Committee Top 25 Games in a Nutshell
No. 20 Tennessee Volunteers score a rare win at Florida, 31 - 11. See you later, alligators. This win sets up an interesting game vs. 2-loss Vandy in Knoxville next Saturday. And a not-so-interesting game when FS Who? visits Gainesville next Saturday.

Ruh-Roh! Do You Think Trojans Are GOOD SPORTS After Losing to Oregon?
My Duck-Buddies...my quotes pulled before the game, and then after revealing some startling differences from the past. Ten years ago...heck, even five years ago the Trojan commentary concerning Oregon was primarily disdain, before escalating to smears and insults. Even when they lost, they still had no respect for Oregon, and it was exhibited in nearly every thread on that USC board. But I noticed when gathering "before" game quotes the other day that about a third of the quotes were complimentary of Oregon, even digging up facts about how Oregon has risen under Dan Lanning. Now the majority of comments were still denigrations, but I was surprised from so many that was, "I hate Oregon, but I respect them." Not what I'd read in the past! When checking for post-game comments--I was surprised again at the lack of insults directed at Oregon! Instead they gave begrudging credit, but spent most of their energy on the failings of their coaching, and how they are playing catch-up in recruiting. A percentage want to fire the DC, fire the Special Teams Coach, fire Riley, etc. Below are some, with a sprinkling of my favorite memes of the past year I've saved. "Lincoln Riley is a FRAUD. I can NOT wait until the day that this BUM is gone! He constantly thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room yet his teams continue to beat themselves by playing DUMB football. They are SOFT, undisciplined, unprepared and lack self awareness! He crapped his pants again in another big game and Oregon is Flat Out better than us in every aspect but none is more evident than at Head Coach!" "I mean we have zero defense. Oregon could legit score on every drive and we can’t stop a down unless they shoot themselves. Special Teams has been a joke for a few years now. The only positive is that our passing offense is elite." "The loss isn’t really what matters, yes the expectation is to win these games at usc, however if you went out fought played clean and disciplined and lost by a field goal or touchdown it is what it is. But Oregon didn’t play a great game they didn’t look great and yet you played so poorly, undisciplined, and soft that you still lost by 15. How you lose matters and every time USC has a big game we are not up to the challenge." "One of the bright side for today is knowing Oregon will likely get clown-stomped in the playoffs and 0 natty jokes stay alive." "Don't hate it, but this board needs to come to grips that we're still a borderline top 20 team, not a contender. The posts this week; you'd think we had Acorns on our jerseys. This is going to piss off a lot of people on this board, we are A LOT like the SD Padres. Oregon is the Dodgers, ND is somewhere hovering around there. We'll nip at their heels and maybe beat them once a decade, but it's been LITERALLY this since 2011. Going on 15 years." "Why is this team always soft against physical teams?" This Team is NOT Soft! "This was a bad win for Oregon. We were not overmatched. We were good enough to win with lesser talent and didn’t get it done. But we’re definitely on the right trajectory. And with better roster will get there. This is a different outcome in LA." "They did whatever they wanted against our defense, and we are delusional as 'frick not to believe the team was not overmatched on defense. Couldn’t even run the run the ball against them. 1 dimensional offense wasn’t going to beat them." "Yeah man. Oregon is good and give them credit for playing disciplined and not beating themselves but today special teams really let us down." "We had opportunities to win this game or even get it close, despite not really stopping their offense that well. ST killed any chances we had. We have the talent to beat Oregon." "That talent gap with Oregon will be closed next season." "Oregon misses 6 starters today." "Quacks were really good last year too." "USC beat themselves with the special team mistakes. Oregon didn’t. I dislike Oregon but give them credit for being disciplined." "Indiana has the 65th roster in football and Iowa has the 45th. We are at 17th. How many times in our history with Oregon have they had the lesser roster and still beat us? This is and has been 100 percent coaching." Lincoln...Who's Your Daddy?

Potential Return to The Big Ten Championship Game!?
How about NO! Play the 13th game in Autzen on 12/19 or 20 and not vs. Indiana in Indianapolis. Of course, it could happen, but if WRs Smith and Tate are good to go, Michigan will not defeat Ohio State. OBD needs the time off to get guys healthy.

Prediction Contest Won on FINAL Tiebreaker, WHEW!
I have a confession to make. On Thursday I figured out what I was going to put down as my chosen score. First I decided the margin, that the Ducks would win by 14 points. Then I figured how many points USC would make, 24, and added 14 for the Ducks’ score. Within a few minutes of Mr FishDuck opening the thread I looked at his score estimate and was disappointed to find that he chose the precise numbers I intended to put down. So I kept the same 14 point margin and increased each team by a field goal. If Lincoln Riley doesn’t choose to go for two and his QB panic on the throw history would record a different winner.

Potential Return to The Big Ten Championship Game!?
I don't want to get in the conference championship game. Right now we only get in if Ohio State loses which would mean a rematch with Indiana which I think would be fine as I think we could cook something up for a rematch. But I would rather have time for the team to get healthy for a playoff game at Autzen.

Potential Return to The Big Ten Championship Game!?
If that happens I’m willing to bet DL will have Oregon far more ready in a rematch with Indy.

Potential Return to The Big Ten Championship Game!?
I hadn't thought of this idea until now, if we manage to beat Washington, we'll finish with a 11-1 record, but most people are projecting us to play a home playoff game if that happens, and personally that's the situation I hope for, but there's something that could screw those plans, and that is the Ohio State vs. Michigan game, if Ryan Day were to choke against the Wolverines once again combined with an Oregon win, we'll play against Indiana in the Big Ten Championship Game due to various tiebreaker stuff that would end up on our "favor" Personally I'd prefer for both us and Ohio State to win their last games of the season, so we'll take a rest and either Ohio State or Indiana get exposed in that extra game, but if we make it to Indy, it'll be quite awful if we once again lose to the Hoosiers, albeit I'd imagine it could be something similar to the 2014 team, which lost a home game only to get revenge on the team that beat them during the regular season. Prediction Contest Won on FINAL Tiebreaker, WHEW!
Before anyone reacts...the post above is NOT a political comment, and we do NOT want to go into that election from 25 years ago. But it is a nice reference to attorneys coming up with a compromise, and one that all Duck fans would enjoy. No political comments please, and take his post for the good-natured intention that was meant.

USC vs Oregon Box Score
Yeah… USC’s 1.9 yards per rush is never going to win games. And it was the Ducks’ passing defense that was vaunted prior to the game. The Ducks defense proved today that they really are as good as their stats.

Post-Game: No Fingernails Left, & Out of Heart Medications...
"I'm a Duck fan living smack dab in the middle of SEC country, and I can tell you with an absolute certainty, this game was not big enough. Lol, unfortunately, southern fan bases will NEVER take OBD seriously until they win a national championship." This is the week that I think most of the SEC plays cupcakes to pad their win column and rest up a little for post season play... so I don't really care what SEC fans think of Oregon. Today, USC would have beaten half the teams in the SEC, maybe more. Most Duck fans get excited when the beavs, Huskies or USC lose... I get fired up when the top SEC teams lose. If Alabama loses next week, it will be party time.

Sorry, but who did a&m, alabama, and Georgia play today??? Joke. They should all be drop in the rankings for that non conference disgrace this late in the season.

Post-Game: No Fingernails Left, & Out of Heart Medications...
It was great practice for the secondary. Never seen a QB throw it for grabs so often, best receivers the Ducks have faced. UCS offence is basiclly the 2 minite drill all game long. Challenging but Indian was still better. Stein please stop this direct snap BS, It fails more than 75% of the time.

TCU heads home to Fort Worth, and does not need to go back to No. 23 Houston, Houston, Houston. Horned Frogs 17 - Hosed and Exposed Houston, 14 This game is a perfect example of why there should not be a ranking of 15, not 25.

Prediction Contest Won on FINAL Tiebreaker, WHEW!
Jon Joseph may have to contest this ruling. Ironically, I can bring another attorney into the mix- one that isn't retired despite being 82 years-old. My father's best friend from college and law school may be able to help. Paul Hancock was Chief of the Civil Litigation Division for the Florida Attorney General’s Office in 2000 (the AG was a Democrat), and argued on behalf of Al Gore in the Supreme Court, requesting that the manual recount be continued. I think Hancock and Joseph could make a compelling case that a co-winner be declared, but may settle for a consolation prize in which they are "promised" an easy victory for the Ducks against the Huskies.
