  2. I can’t help it, I want him at UGA. However, I’m overjoyed that if he doesn’t choose my Dawgs, he will be a Duck! Most places I’ve read think GA has a slight edge, I’m not so sure. I think Oregon has the edge to commit Curtis. We shall see, I’m excited about it! I just realized that this it a thread for articles, apologies Charles. I’ll make sure that I don’t make this mistake in the future.
  3. Decision to be made May 5 between Georgia and Oregon. 5-Star Quarterback Jared Curtis To Commit To Oregon Ducks, Georgia Bulldogs? WWW.SI.COM Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis is set to reveal his commitment on Monday, May 5, as he makes a decision between the Oregon Ducks and Georgia Bulldogs. Curti

  5. Here's your top games for that most beautiful Saturday: Also, price of 'Tix as low as' Alabama @ Georgia $442 Oregon @ Penn St. $199 OSU @ UW $166 ND @ Arkansas $172 USC @ Illinois. $45 Money talks. These are the games people want to see in this order preseason. Therefore, the B1G game will scream Noon kickoff, but Penn St only has Nebraska as its other big home game for 2025. There is no reason that Penn ST and Oregon won't be both top 5 come 9/27/25. It's a MONSTER!! Sunset is at 7:09 on that day. A 7:00pm kickoff would be enormous! It would get the most eyeballs. I believe the highlight game is obviously Georgia/Alabama. So, what time is that game going to be? That's the question. I truly hope that U$C/Ill plays Big noon and Oregon / PSU plays night game. I have a hard time seeing Washington playing the 9:00am game. It would be a mild travesty if Oregon plays 9:00am EST as well as Jet Lag. Actually, ridiculous might not be a strong enough word.
  6. Praise for Bo Nix from new teammates who just signed with Denver. Denver Broncos' Bo Nix Praised By New Teammates Talanoa Hufanga, Dre Greenlaw WWW.SI.COM Former Oregon Ducks and current Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix got some help on the defensive side of the ball this offseason. The Broncos signed a pair of f
  7. I have to give the offensive edge to Clark. While Sabrina could go toe to toe with Clark in a straight up 3 point shooting contest, nobody in the league can create their own shot from behind the arc like Clark….nobody is even close, except Steph Curry, and he doesn’t count. And Clark is a better finisher at the rim, too.
  8. Thanks Jon for the splendid intro to a week that should draw some good ratings for the B1G. Question(to all actually): how would you stack the TV lineup? Oregon v PSU at noon or White Out? I think Fox would prefer Ohio State v the Fuskies at 9am Pacific, but won’t do it because everyone on the West Coast would complain about the precedent. So I’m guessing CBS picks that game up. If Illinois was based in Chicago, they’d get the High Noon slot. Again, a precedent setter we on the left coast would object to. So I’m guessing Indiana v Iowa gets the Noon game, and Ohio State goes live at 3:30 (because God forbid they’d play at 10:30 EST which would give the conference a pretty good ratings day noon to midnight). USC will get stuck sharing air time with either of those time slots because OBD will wrap up at 7:30 EST with Penn State like they did hosting the Buckeyes. What do you prefer, and what do you think will actually happen?
  9. Aside from the Tournament being in Purdue, and not The Jane...it looks good for Oregon to be the No.1 Seed.

  11. The key thing is, with the loss by the Bruins today, it made Oregon the outright winner of the Big Ten, and not sharing the title.

  14. Not for nothing, Michigan beat Ohio State, 23-1, not sure how the Run Rule works in baseball, but the game was called after 7 innings. After losing 4 in a row to the Ducks, the Rodents went to Hawaii, where they've won the first 2. The Huskies took the first two from 1st place Washington, before the Hawkeyes avoided the sweep by taking game 3. Next week, Oregon State at Iowa.
  15. NBA legends rave about Clark. Not her impact in the game, but HER game. Have you seen one NBA expert or legend talk about Sabrina, much less her game? I haven't. Ionscu stats 2024 18.2 ppg 5.7 reb 6.2 asst Clark 2024 19.2 ppg 5.7 reb 6.1 asst Clark already outperformed Ionscu as a rookie. Was the first rookie to post a triple double. She had only six 3pt shots fewer than Ionscu's WNBA record-as a rookie. Sabrina has improved every year in the league. What do you suppose Clark will do? Clark is also the only rookie to post a triple double. Ionscu scored 30 points in a triple double effort. I'll put money on Clark matching that. She's not only going to eclipse Ionscu, she's going to leave her behind. And she did this with the worst WNBA team in the league. Sabrina elevated the league. Clark is transforming the league. You have to watch her play to understand what I'm talking about. Clark's teammates blew dozens of assists last year. WNBA players assaulted her all year. And I'm talking about tackles, NFL style no look hits. Clark did this with more legal assault than Sabrina will ever take in a season. So in my super hack, arrogant, over the top opinion, I believe Caitlin Clark is already better than Sabrina.
  16. No. 6 Oregon escapes with series win over Michigan State - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM It didn’t matter if they won big, close, clean, ugly or a combination of the four. What mattered was that the Ducks needed to leave...
  17. I agree, and the scoreboard says Natty for Day in 2024. But he's still a coach that wins, and loses, with huge talent edge...and last year, a great OC. Let's see what the Day brings next season.
  18. Because of this game, Finebaum doesn't suggest, but declares, that both teams are viable for the CFP with 9 wins. Speaking on The Paul Finebaum Show, the veteran analyst highlighted the season-opening clash between Ohio State and Texas as a pivotal moment. “Take Ohio State or Texas. Both of those could get in with nine [wins] because they play each other to start the year,” Finebaum stated, suggesting that an early loss won’t doom either team’s playoff chances due to the strength—or relative weakness—of their remaining schedules.
  19. After 7 years, and a move to the B1G, Oregon softball wins the championship again, Today's game had a bit of everything. Not really the time when you want to see cracks in the star pitcher's game, but hopefully they'll be sealed by tournament time. Yep, this Oregon team is fast, and aggressive, if one of the Luchar's get to 1st, it's only a matter of time and they'll be on 2nd. They hit the long ball too.
  20. Ducks Seal 11th Series Win with Sunday Victory EAST LANSING, Mich. — Jason Reitz pitched 6.1 innings of one-run baseball as No. 6 Oregon won its 11th series of the season, beating Michigan State, 3-1, on Sunday at McLane Stadium. Reitz was dynamic, allowing just three hits and one walk while striking out four. After giving up a hit to the Spartans' leadoff hitter, the junior retired the next 12 batters he faced. The Ducks (33-13, 16-8 Big Ten) were able to provide some run support early, scoring once in both the second and third innings before Anson Aroz added an insurance run in the ninth with a solo home run. All three of Oregon's runs came with two outs. How It Happened: Michigan State (24-21, 10-14 Big Ten) got its leadoff man aboard and moved him to second with a sacrifice bunt. Reitz was able to pitch a ground ball to shortstop, keeping the runner on second, before getting out of the inning with his first strikeout of the day with the count full. With two outs and a full count in the top of the second, Maddox Molony reached on a hit by pitch to bring Burke-Lee Mabeus to the dish. The freshman swung at the first pitch he saw, ripping a double down the left field line to score Moloney from first. Jason Reitz at Michigan State In the third, Parker Stinson singled to right field and was able to advance to second thanks to a throwing error by the Spartans' right fielder. Stinson moved over to third when Jacob Walsh grounded out to the first baseman, then scored the Ducks' second run of the day on a wild pitch. After Reitz retired 12 batters in a row, Michigan State was able to get the leadoff man on base with a single up the middle, but Mabeus sent him back to the dugout, picking him off at first. Reitz pitched another ground ball and a strikeout to get out of the inning unscathed. The Spartans led off the sixth with a double, moved the runner to third on a sac bunt, and brought him home on a sac fly to left. Reitz faced the first two batters in the sixth, allowing a leadoff walk before getting the out on another sacrifice bunt. Cole Stokes entered in relief with one away and a runner on second but left him stranded, retiring the next two batters. With runners at first and third and two away in the eighth, Stokes tallied his third strikeout of the day to keep the Ducks in the lead. Aroz then doubled the Ducks' advantage in the top of the ninth, crushing his 13th home run of the year down the left field line. Seth Mattox came in to pitch in the bottom of the frame, retiring all three batters he faced en route to his fourth save of the season. On Deck: The Ducks return to PK Park on Tuesday for the first of two games against Saint Mary's (6:05 p.m., B1G+).
  21. I too like the idea, but ... The other day with a come hither look, my spouse asked if I'd like to walk upstairs and make a little love? I replied: 'I think I can do one, but not the other.'
  22. I firmly believe that it was CK's involvement that brought Day his first championship. Look what Chip was able to do at Oregon, with far less tallent. Ryan Day may have made the best decision of his career to bring Chip on board, but it might also be the ultimate telling, seeing how Chipper is gone now, so the one off with Chip might say in the future all we need to know about Ryan Day. OBD will get there the right way under DL. 🪿
  23. For PSU. I like the idea of a nooner!
  24. Garate has been playing like a Golden Glove candidate.
  25. It's Week 5, when the rubber starts to meet the B1G conference road. Before Week Five, we have these out-of-conference (OOC) games versus our Advisory Committee 'buddies' to look forward to. (The Sporting News Preseason Top 25 Rankings are used below.) Week 1 - August 30, 2025 - No. 1 Texas at No. 2 Ohio State. If this rematch of the 2025 Cotton Bowl Playoff game was not already B1G enough, Columbus, Ohio, where Lee Corso made his first headgear pick, Brutus to win, is the likely spot for the venerable Corso to make his last pick before retirement. It's No. 2 Ohio State that is favored by -4.5 to win this game. 20 to 22 million CFB fans are expected to tune into this matchup. Week 2 - September 6, 2025, No. 19 Michigan -2.5 at NR Oklahoma. January 1, 1976 - Orange Bowl - Oklahoma 14, Michigan 6. That's all, folks, for games played between Michigan, the college program with the most wins, 1,012, and Oklahoma, the program with the longest win streak, 47 games from 1953 through 1957, before being upset in Norman by Notre Dame. The Oklahoma coach during 'The Streak' was Bud Wilkinson, who played on Minnesota's three championships in a row teams. Week 3 - September 13, 2025 - NR Wisconsin +16.5 (Gulp!) at No. 9 Alabama Hide the Badgers Women and Children! In addition to the most difficult conference schedule in 2025, the Fickle Finger of Fate, and a sadistic AD, add this game to the Badgers' coach Luke Fickle's already hot seat. On to the B1G Week 5, where it would have been serendipitous to have five big B1G games, but the four games below should give OBD fans a B1G Time Show. September 27, 2025 - No. 21 Indiana at NR Iowa - The second difficult game in a row for a Hoosiers team that plays Illinois the week prior in Bloomington. Indiana and Iowa should be no worse than 3-1 coming into this game. And if Indiana defeats No. 14 Illinois the week prior, and Iowa can win on the road at No. 24 Iowa State in Week 2, both teams could be 4-0 with both ranked in the Top 25. September 27, 2025 - No. 2 Ohio State at NR Washington - If the Buckeyes get past the Longhorns in Week 1, they will come into Seattle 3-0, a Buckeyes Bye before this game, and the likely No. 1 ranked team in the nation. UW was undefeated last season in Husky Stadium, and if UW does not drop two in a row to the Pac-7 + Gonzo Wazzu Cougars, this will be a matchup of undefeated teams. September 27, 2025 - NR USC at No. 14 Illinois. Coming off its game at Indiana the week before, this will be another Prove-It Game for the Illini, a team that returns 18 starters from last season. USC went 1-5 last season in one-score games. SC took Penn State into overtime and had Notre Dame on the ropes before throwing two costly interceptions at the goal line, both returned by the Irish for 90+ yard TDs. With games versus 'old friend' Clay Helton's Georgia Southern, at Purdue, Michigan State, and the home opener against MO. State (No Larry or Curly? ), 4-0 USC will come into Champaign, ready to drink post-game champagne and move into the Top 25. September 27, 2025 - No. 6 Oregon at No. 3 Penn State - Week 5's Main Event! At least SC plays the Domers OOC, Penn State plays Nevada, FIU, and Villanova in Happy Valley, and takes an undeserved 3-0 nap before the 4-0 (knock on a decoy) Mighty Oregon Ducks, accompanied by Sir Charles and other OBDers, come to town. Vegas has OBD -3.5. 10,000 games were simulated on ESPN, with Oregon winning 53.7% of the games. (Don't ask me what happened in the .03% game PSU won .) A White Out game would be a boon. Unfortunately, I think the kickoff will happen at B1G Noon . OBD, TCB in Weeks 1-4, please, beginning with a Beat Down of the Bobs! Let's have more B1G Fun 13-0, anyone?
