How Will Stein Messes With Defenders
Great Video analysis of Oregon's first touchdown against USC.

Yikes! Oregon Beat by San Diego State 97-80
The crazy thing is that Oregon has some pretty good athletes, so you would think at least the defense would be average, as a lot of that comes down to effort. That was the best SDSU has shot from the floor in 13 years. That was by far the worst defensive effort by an Altman team in his time at Oregon. This SDSU team got beat by Troy at home and was throttled by 40 against Michigan.

CFP Rankings 11/25 - Oregon at No. 6
Actually, TT deserves to be ranked above Oregon: They lost on the road to #20 ASU in a close game. They thashed all their other opponents on their schedule. Including #14 Utah at Rice Eccles and #11 BYU at home. We lost at home to #2 IU and of course we just beat a ranked USC at home. That's our resume. Their were teams like Whisky and Iowa that we won but did not thrash. As we know the Ducks SOS is much higher than TT! But scoreboard tells the story and TT just squeaks past us. I don't expect TT to lose in their last 2 games. Which is fine, we need the buffer between us and the top 4. But I dont want to get ahead of myself. OBD's must beat the huskies. GO DUCKS......

CBS hits home run with mind-blowing ratings for Oregon-USC Week 13 matchupNot only did the Ducks prevail with a 42-27 win against Lincoln Riley's Trojans, it was also a win for CBS in terms of viewership. The network, which carried the 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT telecast, was the second-highest rated college football game of this past week, per On3. And rightfully so, as both teams were fighting for its College Football Playoff. Although the Ducks came away with the win, 5.43 million people got to see two of the Big Ten's best in a meaningful game. Sometimes, CBS doesn't always hit it out of the park. However, their selection did. CBS hits home run with mind-blowing ratings for Oregon-US...Oregon-USC may be past history, given that the game is now three days old. But, in the grand scheme of things, it's a victory for CBS.

Will Stein To Arkansas??
They are the only team with two home stadiums. That's gotta count for something....maybe... that's all I got.🥸 They had a couple good years under Houston Nutt. Florida beat them in the 2006 SEC title game, and whooped Ohio State to win the National Title.

I'm Rooting For Ohio State...
Being forced to play in the Championship game, and then sitting "the guys who need rest" would never be what Lanning or the players would want to do because the consequences of losing that unwanted extra game could easily result in not getting a 1st round home game. So if Ohio St loses and we're forced to play in the championship game, then we would need to fully commit to win it against what would then be the #1 ranked and undefeated Indiana - and if successful, we would have avenged our only season loss AND get a first round bye AND get a home game in the second round. So, no, I really don't want to be forced into that dangerous extra game, but if that's the way it turns out, then we will have to commit absolutely EVERYTHING to winning it!

I don't think playing Alabama in the playoffs is an easy win. I'll take another conf champ game - just don't play the guys who need the rest and rehab. Other teams are banged up too.

Play Creighton in the "0-2 championship" and it sounds like Creighton (at the link) has similar problems. https://archive.ph/AEGWm Creighton lost twice in Vegas by similar margins of Oregon's losses. The Ducks face Creighton at 11:00 am, Thanksgiving Day, on TruTV. Creighton's already played Gonzaga and lost 63-90. The way Oregon played tonight, I might be happy with a 27-pt loss. We'll have to see how badly Bittle's ankle injury may be. The Aztecs made 39 of 58 (67%) from the field, 11 of 23 (48%) from 3-point range, against the Ducks. Michigan beat SDSU by 40. Those could be some long plane rides home from the Midwest for the Ducks if score comparisons predict the future. That 67% was the highest ever allowed by a Dana Altman Ducks team. 8 different Aztecs were over 50%. The Ducks were 28% from 2-pt range in the second half.

Oregon Football: The X-Factor Vs. Washington
Washington is a good team in all phases, but not a threat to beat the top teams. The can certainly stay in it though. Oregon has been over achieving in the running game and doing well in the passing game, and also pretty good on run defense. But pass defense has been pretty under par. From linebackers not keeping up in man coverage, to too many PI calls, some receivers left open, not defending jump balls and the disappointing lack of pass rush, my X factor is somebody doing better. Anybody. So I will pick Mr Canady to come through. He seems fairly active and he looks like he knows what he is doing out there. I don't recall a game where I thought he was a liability or an under achiever. Sometimes it is this kind of player who steps up and becomes a leader on the field. But I expect this game to be one of those where I think the Ducks are pretty close to putting it together, but still have some work to do. Overall talent should carry the Ducks to victory.

CFP Rankings 11/25 - Oregon at No. 6
OREGON ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2025 OREGON FOOTBALL | @oregonfootball Ducks Up To No. 6 In CFP Rankings EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team moved up one spot in the College Football Playoff rankings for the third week in a row on Tuesday, coming in at No. 6 entering the final weekend of the regular season. The Ducks are coming off an impressive win over USC, which was No. 15 entering last Saturday's game before moving down to No. 17 following a 42-27 loss in Eugene. Oregon is one of three Big Ten teams in the top 10 and one of five in the top 25, along with No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Indiana, No. 15 Michigan and No. 17 USC. The Ducks have now made 15 consecutive appearances in the CFP top 10 dating back to 2023, and 28 straight appearances in the CFP top 25 dating back to 2020. The No. 6 Ducks (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten) will wrap the regular season with a rivalry showdown against Washington (8-3, 5-3 Big Ten) this Saturday, Nov. 29, in Seattle (12:30 p.m. PT, CBS). Oregon would all but guarantee itself a College Football Playoff berth for the second year in a row with a win at Washington, and would also earn a trip to the Big Ten Championship Game with a victory over the huskies combined with a Ohio State loss to Michigan. Entering the final week of the regular season, the Ducks are one of only three FBS teams (Indiana, Texas Tech) in the top 15 nationally for scoring offense (8th, 39.3 PPG), total offense (12th, 471.8 YPG), scoring defense (8th, 14.9 PPG) and total defense (3rd, 248.7 YPG). UO also owns the nation's No. 3 passing defense at 145.7 yards allowed per game and the No. 8 rushing offense at 228.6 yards per game, and the Ducks are the only FBS team in the top five for both total yards per play (4th, 7.24) and total yards per play allowed (5th, 4.13). Oregon is currently No. 5 in both the Associated Press poll and the US LBM coaches poll. College Football Playoff Top 25 - Nov. 25 1. Ohio State (11-0) 2. Indiana (11-0) 3. Texas A&M (11-0) 4. Give Thanks! Rivalry A/K/A Hate Week Is Here
Came across this on the Bleacher Report app... I tend to like it better than the ESPN one... But it has Washington by 13 points??? What is going on with that?

CFP Rankings 11/25 - Oregon at No. 6
Well now.....all OBD's can control is beating the huskies. The bastard huskies. If Jon Josephs CHAOS occurs, then OBD's could land in the top 4. Texas Tech and Texas A&M could both lose in the next 2 weeks. Beating the huskies would be another quality win for OBD's. If by some chance tOSU lost to Michigan, i don't think the Buckeyes would fall below the Ducks in the rankings. We will know that by our kick off against the huskies. None of this matters if OBD's loses on Daturday. Go Ducks......

Yikes! Oregon Beat by San Diego State 97-80
If the team doesn't improve massively this is Altman's worst team since his first season. I don't see them as a top half team in the league. I doubt they get close to a tourney bid, they'll have no good non-conference wins as they will get blow out by Gonzaga if they play even close to what they have shown in the last two games. The thing that I'm most frustrated by is the lack of basketball IQ, they don't look like they know how to play team basketball, they don't look like they know what the scheme is offensively or defensively, that's on the coaches, both in identifying talent and in coaching the team to be ready at the start of the season.

Yikes! Oregon Beat by San Diego State 97-80
Oregon looks like a team roster a new coach would inherit after the prior one was fired. This performance is just ugly in many different ways. It is going to be a long Big Ten season. That game against Gonzaga on Dec. 21 is just not going to be pretty.

I hate to say it, but I think he has nobody but himself to blame, he didn't recruit the right players, they just aren't very good. He's done a horrible job getting them ready. I think he struck out on a number of his targets and panicked when he got Lin, Demir, and the other player from Turkey. He must have struck out on a number of freshman since we don't have a single one that is playing.

Dana is going to smash some heads. This is as bad as I have seen a Dana team play on the defensive side of the ball. SDSU lost to Troy and got throttled by 40 against Michigan. Not a good sign.

Down by 10, 51-41. Ugly, bad defense, Shelstad has had a good shooting night but he's given it back on defense as he is not big enough to get around on screens and the Aztecs have abused him there, Auburn did the same thing last night. Not a lot of IQ on this team, they don't know have any feel on offense. They've actually had a good shooting night, but as always too many turnovers. We have very little depth as we don't have any guards that are of any worth on the bench. Stewart is alright as a backup big. This is not a great SDSU team, this isn't the type of team they've had in the past, they're 2-2, and they look vastly better than us right now. We can certainly come back, but Altman has so much to work on with this group.
