  1. Past hour
  2. I was about to say the same thing. There's not a chance in hell that he made this decision in a vacuum. Clearly, he had full support and direction of the administration as well.
  3. Or, at a minimum, be radically altered.
  4. Whatever the thought process that led to ND’s decision, likely tilting it a bit for Freeman was just the thought of all those press conference questions directed at how they could have screwed up so bad and ended up there.
  5. It might cost more money to go to a bowl game then the $500,000. If that is the case, and we know its all about the money, its a wise decision.
  6. I heard a Talking Head say that Norte Dame has signed an agreement that if they finish in the top 12 in the ranking they are automatically placed in the tournament. Anyone else hear this? If that is the case why schedule any hard opponents? Go 12-0 with cupcakes you are in. Just join a league, it is that simple. Why is everybody else changing with the times except Norte Dame?
  7. ...and USC went to South Bend this year. Two years in a row they get them at home? How does that work??
  8. Today
  9. I actually think its kind of cool that James Madison players can play a top brand like Oregon in a playoff game. I checked their schedule for the past few years. UVA and Louisville have been their biggest branded teams played
  10. Thanks for the slack Charles!
  11. Well he's joining the team in January, he'll have some time to work the rust out, but I imagine it will take a little time to see him grow into the great player he has the potential to be.
  12. Other than Miami and USC not exactly a murderers row schedule.
  13. Notre Dame: Boycotting a bowl game reduces player exposure and should hurt recruiting. I would certainly be reluctant to send a kid there. Perhaps they're worried about being exposed like FSU was in their bowl game after being left out of natty contention.
  14. ND's 2026 schedule. Wonder why they get no respect. Only 3 road games.
  15. The University is Spoiled Children was made for this poll.
  16. yeah, it's snowing in Harrisonburg and 25 degrees right now. They know bad weather.
  17. My grandson enjoys an occasional game of D&D... says it's relaxing.
  18. Yes, and the choices are great, it was honestly hard to choose, but the SEC has been whining for so long they truly deserve credit for it. Though I do have a bit of sympathy for OSU and WSU, they are also whining a lot now. I just think that maybe they have something to whine about (not Oregon and Washington leaving them behind), they really did get the worst end of conference realignment.
  19. Nougat of Wisdom...
  20. And thanks to all the moderators that help make this place go. Mr. FishDuck asked me to do it a few years ago and I just didn't have the time, still don't, but so appreciate those of you who do!
  21. GatOrlando… because I’m an old timer, my antipathy toward USC is the strongest. But good gosh, what a fantastic title!
  22. My nephew teaches advanced calculus in Mississippi... he says the figures don't lie. He thinks, "Finding someone who understands the equation in SEC country?" PRICELESS!
  23. The dude with the sword keeps killing the brain cells buried in a time capsule at midfield...
  24. Massduck, you are right, and not only your point of view, but that your title is admittedly, “not Noble.” Of course, I have never claimed to be Noble, and I thought it was pretty funny. We can’t do titles like that very often, but this is an enjoyable, special occasion…
  25. Let's just practice hard and win convincingly like everyone expects. One game at a time, OBD!
