  2. CBS against the spread for week 1. B1G Time: Big Ten coaches enter 2025 season brimming with confidence, but that optimism may come at a price - CBSSports.com
  3. Yikes. I don't know what's going on with him, he was a pretty good DC for Oregon for his time in Eugene.
  4. I have a TON of divorce jokes, but I think I've probably offended enough at this point...
  5. I think it is safe to say the majority of marriages don’t work for the long term. People change, or in many cases, they don’t change. A marriage is a partnership, and even business partnerships fall apart over time. You should always start with good intentions, but as the old joke goes… "Why is a divorce so expensive? … because it’s worth it."
  6. Fired? No way. Despite the yo-yo travel schedule the B1G handed UW in 2025, UW does have seven home games. UW has won 20 consecutive home games, the longest streak in UW history. Considering the attrition from the coaching staff on down, getting UW to bowl eligibility last season was a great coaching effort. Now, he has his QB, Demond Williams, who was tough as nails when under siege by the OBD's D last season, ready to play ball from the start. I think UW will win one of its home games against No. 3 Ohio State, No. 12 Illinois, and No. 7 OBD. UW is a PO sleeper. Road games at Wazzu, Maryland, Wisconsin, UCLA, and even in Ann Arbor vs. Michigan are winnable. UW, on paper, has the starting QB advantage in all of these road games. Jedd Fisch is a quality coach hired late and dealt a hand that had two starters from 2023's champ runner-up team returning. The 7.5 win over/under, except for one sportsbook, is a minus bet, meaning the wise guys expect UW to cover. Do not sell this guy and UW at home short. This is likely to be one of OBD's toughest games on this season's schedule, coming off an emotional home game against USC.
  7. If this is not resolved by Thursday…..Fubo come on down. You are next up on my rotating door of steaming services.

  9. Inquiring minds want to know if he'll be able to call timeouts from there before the game and the start of the second half.
  10. Absolutely. Doesn't matter where in the stadium he is if he keeps telling the RB to run into a brick wall in the last possession of the game instead of taking a knee to ice it. He can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory from anywhere lol
  11. Speaking of sweet memories...this one in OT against the Mutts was particularly delightful. Also a reminder that the uniforms always look better after a nice win.
  12. Remember Jim Leavitt, Oregon D-coordinator? News about him today in another post in this forum. I recall his wife didn't want to move to Eugene and that created some issues during his tenure at Oregon.
  13. Hugh Freeze once coached his team while laying in a hospital bed that had been placed in the coaches box.

  15. This sounds like an improvement but for the best results he might want to try being the first coach to coach from home in bed asleep.
  16. only 10% legal? 😃 But seriously, this is an interesting list. I see Mine and SWAP both offer $25 for 3 months! and they include ESPN and B1G network. How can that be? Has anyone used them?
  17. This should provide enough materials for 3 albums, LOL
  18. This! Coaching in the box will not reduce the number of pigheaded mistakes and bad calls he makes. Go Irish!
  19. Great take. What's the Over/Under on the Pre-Nup from Swifty's side being longer than War & Peace? Next up, Billy Belichick. No babies, but a Bigicheck for the Chick. Fortunately, North Carolina allows its citizens to marry teenagers. What's that, she's 24? My bad, I thought Billy Bob was robbing the cradle? 67-year-old Madonna is a slacker; her guy is 29! It's Only a Movie! 🤑🤪
  20. I'm glad you covered the most important points so that I (or anyone else) did not have to tread through those waters. Mostly annoyed that this will be a primary topic of some sports shows/podcasts I enjoy listening to. It will last as long as Swift decides it will last. Hope it lasts, but don't think it will.
  21. My first thought - if this ends up being true - is that it's a genius move. Now he'll be able to hear the audible groans and people reflexively shouting "NO!!!" at every one of his poor gameplan/game management decisions. The crowd won't be able to drown out the immediate feedback he needs.
  22. Max Torres: Oregon forces multiple fumblesI know this Montana State offense loves to run the ball. The Ducks did a good job defending the run last year, and while this is a new defensive line under Tony Tuioti, I’m very high on this group heading into the season. I think we’ll see the Oregon defense jar the ball loose a few times on Saturday. Whether it’s someone like Matayo Uiagalelei, Blake Purchase, A’Mauri Washington or Bryce Boettcher, the playmakers will step up and the defense will be disruptive. Corpatty: New Oregon Wide Receivers Step UpWith Tez Johnson, Traeshon Holden, and TFerg gone — plus Evan Stewart sidelined with injury — Oregon will be relying on new and inexperienced wideouts. I expect them to answer the call in Week 1, with receivers hauling in three touchdowns in the opener. Brandon Gibson: Oregon Stops Rushing AttackOregon’s defense shuts down the vaunted Montana State rushing attack. The Bobcats have one of the best rushing games in the FCS and had three players, two running backs and the quarterback, each reach the thousand yard mark in the 2024 season. Despite some departures, running is Montana State’s identity and Saturday will be the day that Oregon’s talented and fast defense will hold that running game largely in check. In 2024, Oregon’s defense held opponents to 130 yards rushing a game, good for 38th in the nation. This new edition will be afforded an opportunity against a strong ground game to show whether the Ducks are ready to improve on those numbers in 2025. Ted Leroux: Purchase Shines in OpenerI’ve been high on Blake Purchase coming into this season, and after Saturday’s game, it wouldn’t be surprising if he starts to make a case for more playing time — perhaps even pushing starting JACK linebacker Teitum Tuioti for his spot down the road. Defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi even noted last week that Purchase was “truly competing to start for us,” underscoring just how quickly the young linebacker is rising. Jhop: Oregon Runs for Over 300 YardsI think we’ve talked a bit about Oregon’s rushing attack through this Fall camp. My bet is Oregon will lean on the run game heavy in week one as it’s going to be one of the safest and easiest ways to get through game one with minimal film to offer to upcoming opponents. I really won’t consider it a “flex”, if you will, given it’s Montana State. But I do think it sets the tone for this season on how effective Oregon will be rushing the football. FWIW, we’ll see several backs get some run in this one. Surprise Storyline vs Montana State
  23. Ducks have fifth best roster in country per the 247Sports Team Talent Composite rankings Oregon has the fifth best roster in the nation based upon the 247Sports Team Talent Composite for this year.
  24. Several head coaches have been in the press box during games including Notre Dame's Lou Holtz. Joe Paterno. There are others. Though, not sure if Cristobal is the first to do it without being there as a result of some illness or injury. Cristobal can always say he never lost to Notre Dame as head coach on the field. The game Sunday evening is at Miami. ND leads the series 18-8-1. But, is 6-7-1 in Miami.
  25. First, I read that Brady Montana needs to do some research. Joe Paterno coached games from the press box after he had hip surgery caused by a collision on the sideline. Second, I read that Mario must have hurt himself. ESPN.comPaterno coaching opener from PSU press boxJoe Paterno coached Penn State's season opener from the press box Saturday, three weeks after an accidental collision at practice left him with right shoulder and pelvis injuries.
  26. Kenyon Sadiq: "Do what we do."Tight End Kenyon Sadiq meets with the media following practice on August 26, 2025.
