  2. Jayden Limar growing role for Oregon. “We actually gave an award to Jayden earlier today talking about like this is, to me, the embodiment of what our team is,” Lanning said during his Monday press conference. Lanning also said, "He's a player that we know what to expect from him when he steps on the field. He does his job, he does his assignment, he works extremely hard. He expects a lot of his teammates.” Oregon Ducks On SIDan Lanning Reveals Running Back Jayden Limar's Growing R...EUGENE – The Oregon Ducks have showcased their depth at the running back position to start the 2025 season. 3. Through 2 games, Dante Moore has exceeded my expectations. I knew he had arm talent (that was apparent from his high school tape, particularly the HS All Star Game where he threw for 3? TDs) but I had concerns about the picks at UCLA, particularly his ability to read defenses and the vision to see defenders. Sitting last year behind DG and rebuilding his confidence made a noticeable difference in his development (credit the young man for his vision and patience). It’s clear he understands the offense and is looking to check down, instead of forcing throws. I have high hopes for Dante’s upside but we’ll have to see how he performs against elite defenses (Penn State will be a huge midterm but it’s not the final exam). Go Ducks!!!

  5. Three Reasons Why Oregon's Dakorien Moore, Dante Moore Are College Football Breakout StarsThe No. 4 Oregon Ducks are 2-0 after two blowout wins, thanks in part to performances from Oregon wide receiver Dakorien Moore, and quarterback Dante Moore. However, the freshman and sophomore duo were left off of a list dedicated to breakouts from players that have little to no experience. 6. It will be an interesting setup for the Ducks, with the game kicking off at noon ET and 9 a.m. PT for the players. On top of that, Northwestern is hosting games inside a temporary stadium that seats about 12,000 fans while Ryan Field undergoes a massive renovation. Despite all of that, the Ducks are still projected to dominate this game, favored by 27.5 points according to FanDuel Sportsbook. While they are regarded as one of the top teams in the nation, there are some questions about Northwestern. On defense, the Wildcats have been solid, giving up just 23 points to Tulane in a Week 1 loss, and then holding Western Illinois to seven points in a win last weekend. So what will we see on Saturday? Let's break it down. What should the Oregon Ducks expect from Northwestern Wildcats defense?

  9. Man this is a poor slate of BIG games! By contrast, the SEC has several games against opponents, some in conference some OOC, where both teams actually have a pulse. I am tuning in to the Ducks game until it becomes out of hand and then flipping to see if Georgia's next opponent, Bama, can begin to resurrect its season against Wisky--one if the Best BIG games this week. My Dawgs have a tough road game against Tennessee that I am not at all confident about. Plus Game Day is there and I may have an audiogenic seizure having to listen 50 times to Rocky Top should the Vowels play well.
  10. Just suppose he doesn’t need a scholarship, and uses his NIL to pay his tuition. Does that violate the scholarship limit?
  11. After seeing what Tulane did to Northwestern I'd bet whatever the over is in this game. Will it be over in the first or second quarter is my only question.
  12. Dante was a 4 year starter in high school. He helped lead his team to the state championship three times, and the team won two titles in their division. As far as I can see from his high school highlights they play 11 man football. Any last minute drive requires an extraordinary team effort. I feel comfortable giving him the ball. When he is done at Oregon he will probably be playing on Sundays.
  13. This is a very interesting development. By my count, Oregon already has 13 on scholarship. Those are: Vatan, Shelstad, Lindsay, Simpkins, Kobzystyi, Evans, Pryor, Phillips, Bittle, Stewart x2, Frakes, and Demir. However, it is interesting that Demir is the only player on that list that has not been added to the Oregon roster. Did something happen there? If so, maybe that makes room for Lin? Oregon needs another guard badly.
