Oregon - Washington Post-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
Atticus Sappington wins Ducks Wire Player of the Game vs. Washington It’s normally tough to think of someone who stood out during such a messy game, but it was surprisingly easy this time. Kicker Atticus Sappington will take home Ducks Wire Player of the Game honors for the second time this season after an inspired performance today. He was called on four times to extend Oregon’s lead and he delivered each time. One could argue that he was the biggest part of the Ducks’ offense today with all of his contributions, but especially his career-long 51-yard field goal that put the Ducks up by 12 points at the time.

Oregon vs. Washington instant recap: score from Ducks vs. Huskies The Huskies managed to make the game dicey in the fourth quarter, but the Ducks had at least a little bit of control over this game since kickoff. They raced out to a 13-point lead and never looked back. Washington never got the game closer than six points after that and now the Ducks will roll back into Oregon with a home playoff game on the horizon.

Big Saturday Games That Are 'Non-Oregon,' So Let's Discuss!
The more I watch the SEC the less impressed I get. Alabama is a team with no running game and their QB's passing percentage is 67%...and then there is Georgia who's O-Line is not good. Seeing A&M get beat solidify by Texas, I'm beginning to think 3 loss Texas may be the best team in the SEC with Manning finally figuring it out.

Great Defensive Game for Oregon...But the Offense?
Only the 2nd loss for those little puppies on their home turf in 4 seasons. Them dogs are a tough out at home. Hats off to OBD's for the team victory. Double hats off to the defense and Atticus for bringing the A plus game today. Yes, the offense was a little off with the run game being stifled. However, DM made the plays when necessary. Remember tOSU only put up 24 points against ewedub at husky stadium. Now we about 3 weeks to heal and prepare for what should be a home game. At 11-1 this old Duck fan just can't find alot to be negative about. Hope we are on the IU side of the CFP bracket. IU will be tough enough to defeat but to beat tOSU team OBD's will need to take it to the next level. Congratulation the players and coaches for a great regular season

Big Saturday Games That Are 'Non-Oregon,' So Let's Discuss!
I'm a little slow. It just dawned on me SEC teams only have to win 2 conference games to make a bowl game if they win their FOUR cupcake games. Auburn is 1 and 5 in conference and fighting Bama for a bowl game...

New Milestone Reached by Dan Lanning Today....
It certainly feels like we are having similar levels of success. Playoffs, here we come.

Great Defensive Game for Oregon...But the Offense?
I dunno. Outside McClellan and Benson we don't have any other WRs Moore wants to throw to. We need Stewart and Moore back if we want to beat the best. I think we saw the limits of what you can do with Sadiq as a WR today. Seam and drag routes and zone reads are good, but curls, back shoulder, and any other possession type grabs that require millisecond, minute adjustments are a little hard for a guy thicker than Sequoia tree.

Great Defensive Game for Oregon...But the Offense?
It looked to me like Sadiq wasn't 100%. Some of those drops were totally uncharacteristic of him. And it looked like he took an injury on the near touchdown dive catch in the endzone. It's great that Ohio State beat Michigan. I'm glad the Ducks DON'T have to play in the B1G championship game. Hopefully the time off will let some of their receivers get healthy. There is also a slight chance they back their way into a bye if Texas Tech or Georgia lose next week. Of course that is contingent on them passing A&M in the next set of rankings that come out on Tuesday.

Great Defensive Game for Oregon...But the Offense?
Looking for a Cover in Seattle, YES! No. 6 OBD 26 - UW 14. Let's compare with another game played in Seattle in 2025 - No. 1 Ohio State 24 - UW 6. It is not easy to defeat or score on an all hands on deck UW D in Husky Stadium. I am more than entertained. 👌👍😎 No. 5 or No. 6 Ducks at home on December 19th or 20th. YES! For a team with a new QB and 14 new starters? And with a bunch of starters dinged up? WOW! 😁😁😁 Hats off to Danno and crew. 11-1 on the way to (knock wood) 15-1!

Good thing we have a great kicker!

New Milestone Reached by Dan Lanning Today....
Chip Kelly was revered in his time here, and rightly so, as his record at Oregon was 46-7, a pretty incredible win percentage. With today's win over the Bastard Huskies, Dan Lanning has matched Chip, as his record at Oregon is now also....46-7!

Great Defensive Game for Oregon...But the Offense?
Jeremiah McClellan made one of the best catches I have ever seen. Unfortunately he and we was robbed! There is not much drop off, if any with our 1st team receivers not playing IMHO.
-
Great Defensive Game for Oregon...But the Offense?
Sadiq needs a new pair of gloves. Those were catches he normally makes. Not sure why we didn't use a fullback on that last 4th and 1. I couldn't sit down the entire game. Whew! Ducks did what they had to to win.

Agreed. Hope the upcoming time off brings back our top receivers & allows bodies to heal - but that we don't go cold.

Great Defensive Game for Oregon...But the Offense?
To hold Washington to 14 points on their home field was a fantastic effort. We should have scored a whole lot more on offense, but the drops by the receivers killed drives. When you only have a few to throw to--they gotta make it pay. Sadiq was not award winning today...but we survived.
