And if you really want to pile on, two of the teams (CSU and USU) ranked ahead of them also replaced their coaches the same week as Beavis…so they can’t even hang their hats on the new coach starting late in the cycle. I might start to feel sorry for them when this coach doesn’t work out like they thought.

Could probably throw 2003 Igor Olshanski and Junior Siavii in there? Igor went 2nd round with the 3rd pick to San Diego and Junior 2nd round with the 4th pick to Kansas City. Haloti Ngata (1st/12th) had been set to start at one DT spot, before being lost for the season in the first quarter of game one. That I guess would technically be 3 top 36 NFL draft picks on the same front? Harmond (1st/21st), Burch (3rd/78th) and Caldwell (3rd/86th) also pretty good.

I'm going to throw out another name... Aaron Flowers. . He was super active and in on every play. He also just hit opposing ball carriers really hard.

Excellent picks, David! Jamari Johnson and Evan Stewart are pretty obvious candidates for stand-out seasons. Both of those guys have already shown game-breaking skillsets. I'm excited to see them both, and our other stellar receivers rack up big yards and tons of TD's this coming season.

I was unaware of the PAC-12 recruiting rankings so I looked it up. Thanks, David. A lot of talent on the 2026 roster. I'd add the already-impactful DL players A'Mauri Washington and Bear Alexander. When, if ever, has OBD had two potential All-Americans on the interior of the D-line?

Let's not forget Evan Stewart. Having missed the entire season in 2025 because of injury, he will officially be playing his "sophomore" season with OBD. With the plethora of talent we'll have in the receiving and tight end corp, I think ES is going thrive on blown coverages and missed assignments!

Yeah Finney is going to be huge next year. He'd count for sure. I also left off Dante and Dakorian. So much of this roster is young first year starters who are going to have big impacts next year.
