Good idea, with 4:00 PM PST starts--their viewership would be much better, as watching Utah State vs. Washington State is better than nothing. - Yesterday

"So, after spending a Saturday watching Big Ten football games… I wanna tune into the CW Network to watch Colorado State versus Texas State in the evening?" Well, it didn't work so well either when it was Arizona vs Cal on the Pac12 Network or ESPN. Or, UCLA vs Oregon State. Or, WSU vs Stanford. etc. at 7:30 - 8:00 pm starts Pacific on Saturday night. I suspect the New Pac is going to see quite a few Thursday and Friday night games starting in 2026, in an attempt to garner viewers whose eyeballs aren't glazed over from watching football since 9:00 am. Maybe even earlier Thurs/Fri starts than 10:30 pm Eastern. -
Even with the bigger NIL offer I'd be leery of TA&M just because of their recent history with trying to cobble together rosters with enormous amounts of money, didn't work out too well for Jimbo Fisher.

Okay then. -
Yeah, but I don't think it's a miss, the Ducks held their swing. A & M & USC are swinging for the fences, but it's the 4th inning.

The new Pac is the best of the old mountain West which absolutely means they will all consume each other regularly. Probably fun for viewers (if you actually want to watch those teams) but not great for their playoff prospects for sure. -
It sounded like the NIL offer was greater from TAMU than Oregon on this one. He apparently is a life long Ducks fan but Oregon wasn't going to match the offer from what I've read. But this might be one we wait and see on come December.

Is Oregon’s NIL and Recruiting Ahead of Everyone?
Drake replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
On what planet does it make sense to pay a high school TE $10 million? Does that then make your QB worth $40 to 50 million? I can’t blame anyone to go after life changing money, but you have to wonder what goes on in the locker room and off the field when many proven seniors, players who are more important than any TE, are overlooked. The obvious answer is that they hit the transfer portal, but team chemistry has to be tense, at best, on certain teams. Managing egos is much more difficult than training athletes. I think that Oregon’s NIL collective is being sensible, if that is possible, in the current environment.
